This book was such a treat! I was so invested in Nova and Charlie’s story. The audiobook narration by 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 & 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐃. 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫, was FANTASTIC!

Nova is in the process of opening a tattoo shop in her hometown. She wants everything to be perfect before showing it to her older brother, Beckett, and her family.

Charlie is staying in town while his sister and her husband go on their honeymoon so that he can keep everything run at their Christmas tree farm. He is at a crossroads in his career trying to undo the damage his father did to the business.

When he is propositioned at the wedding by Nova, he is shocked, in the best way. Over the course of his stay, Nova and Charlie get closer while fighting their attraction to each other.

I loved all the heated tension. This book had great spice! When Nova and Charlie finally gave into each other, I MELTED.

There was a lot of character growth as the book progressed. We get glimpses into both of their heads and see their inner demons. I loved that they were able to help each other overcome their struggles.

The townspeople and all of our favorite couples from previous books were around in this book. It was such a treat to see their love stories continue after their books ended.

She does it again! I LOVED Lovelight Farms, so to say I was excited about this one was an understatement. Spicy, heartwarming, funny, the best banter,.. highly recommend!

Love is the last thing on Nova’s mind, but for some reason she can’t ignore her attraction to investment banker, Charlie. She’s busy opening up a tattoo shop and doesn’t want the distraction, and hopes that a friends with benefits situation is the perfect way to get this attraction out of her system. Nova and Charlie agree to an arrangement, that they will keep up the friends with benefits relationship until her shop opens, but of course keeping her feelings at bay is easier said than done.

I have been a huge fan of the Lovelight Farms series since the original release of book 1, so seeing the series come to an end was bittersweet. But as sad as I was to say goodbye to the series and the characters, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect conclusion. Nova was the perfect strong female main character to wrap up the series. And Charlie was the best cinnamon roll counterpart to her badass self. I adored them together, and I loved that we got so many glimpses into the town I fell in love with and characters from the previous books. This series is truly a heartwarming one and I am sad to say goodbye (until I reread of course). I've listened to the whole series on audio and it was incredible. The way the narrators brought this town and the characters to life was perfect.

This book has been on my Most Anticipated books of the Year list FOREVER, and it did not disappoint!

We head back to Lovelight Farms, where Charlie is stepping in for a month while his sister is on her honeymoon. Naturally, we get to see Charlie and Nova’s relationship evolve while he is there.

They really truly are friends with benefits (at least to start). You can tell how much they care about each other from a friendship standpoint, and that helps them build into something more.

I absolutely loved this book! If you have never read any of the books from this series, get on it!

The fourth and final installment of the Lovelight Falls series fell a little flat for me. The books have tackled heavier subject matter as they progressed. But the tone of the author remains very light, airy. This combination made the book seem a little flippant about very difficult subject matter.

Overall, a fun listen, but it is likely my least favorite in the series.

This book was so good!! My favourite in the series for sure 🥰 There was just something about Nova and Charlie together that made my soul happy. They brought out the best in each other and their banter was so funny and flirty 🤭🔥

Nova was so easy to relate to and connect with. She hates asking for help from anyone (SAME GIRL) and I loved seeing glimpses of her life as a tattoo artist and what her art and running her own business means to her.

“Asking for help doesn’t make you less deserving of anything you’ve already achieved on your own.”

“For the first time in a long time, I feel like maybe it’s okay that I’m a work in progress. Just like my studio. Just like my little plants breaking through the soil and reaching for the sunlight. I’m trying, and maybe trying is enough.”

Charlie is one of my favourite MMC’s ever! He wanted to do everything to make everyone around him happy, despite how it made him feel 🥹 The anxiety and ADHD representation of his character was so well done. Honestly I think would read BK Borison’s grocery lists, because her writing is truly poetic.

“I’ve never been anyone’s favourite,” he whispers. “Well,” I say, feeling defensive. “You’re mine.”

I fell in love with this book by the end of chapter 2, purely from Charlie’s relationship with his sister Stella. This book is such a love story to the small town of Inglewild and brought me right back to where it all started in Lovelight Farms. The found family moments had me sobbing in the best way. It’s so bittersweet saying goodbye to my favourite small town 🥹

Oh, this was so bittersweet 🥹 I’m so sad this series is over but this was such a perfect finale & probably my favourite of the four! I didn’t think I could love another couple more than Stella & Luca, then Beckett & Evie, then Caleb & Layla but honestly I think Charlie & Nova were a tie with Caleb & Layla, they were SO damn sweet.

I switched between physical, audio & ebook for this (the commitment to reading it at all times🥲) and loved every format. The audio narration was SO well done by Pippa Jayne & Benjamin Walker, and just added to the enjoyment of the plot.

The character development in this story was flawless. Nova already had brilliant characterisation as the youngest of the Porter siblings but Charlie’s character arc is what really shone— he’s always been the joker & the guy having the best time & I loved seeing the more vulnerable side to him. We get to understand him a lot more in this plot.

The chemistry between Charlie & Nova, right from the start, was perfect & I loved the constant quips & easygoing teasing between them. Of course, the small town of Inglewild itself makes these books the perfection they are: the town characters that all know everything about each other & the goings on, the phone tree, the bonds between them all.

I feel ya Charlie because I too, would like to be adopted into the Inglewild family. Heartwarming, wholesome, spicy, cosy & sweet: this was the perfect ending to a perfect series & I implore you all to read these asap!

I know there’s a lot of bookworms here who love this series, so I’ll try my best to explain why I think B.K Borison saved the best for last.

While Lovelight is often seen as a standalone series, Business Casual sprinkles in delightful nods to the first four books that fans will adore. Charlie, though not an Inglewild resident, has been a familiar face throughout the series. As Stella’s half-brother, he’s a regular at Lovelight Farms and seems to pop up at every celebration. Watching Charlie take a break from city life to enjoy more time in his favorite small town, especially while looking after Lovelight during Stella and Luka’s honeymoon, is utterly charming. 🌟

With Nora being Beckett’s younger sister and Charlie an honorary member of Caleb’s family, we get even more glimpses of our beloved former couples. It’s like catching up with old friends, making the series' conclusion even sweeter. 💕

🎧 And if you’re listening to the audiobook, our favorite narrator is back yet again with a new hero. Pippa Jayne and Benjamin D. Walker’s voices truly bring Inglewild to life, wrapping you up better than Nora’s favorite burrito blanket technique.

I can't believe this is the last book in the series. Lovelight Farms is the perfect small town series, and Business Casual was the perfect ending. The whole thing was *chef's kiss*. Highly recommend. No notes.

I am so incredibly glad I decided to listen to this audiobook. It came at a perfect time when I really needed the support and understanding it provided. The male character is not only incredibly supportive but also deeply caring, which made the story even more enjoyable.

Even though I skipped the first two books in the series, I felt an immediate connection with the characters and loved getting to know the family. The story beautifully captures the dynamics of the family, making it easy to immerse myself in their world.

I especially appreciated the authentic representation of ADHD. It was handled with such care, adding depth and relatability to the narrative. This book has truly been a wonderful experience, and I can't recommend it enough!

i can’t believe i have to say goodbye to the lovelight series. this small town gives all the gilmore girls vibes and it truly feels like such a quirky & quaint place filled with the BEST people!!

i really enjoyed this one. i listened to the audio and although the fmc’s narrator isn’t my favorite it was still such a beautiful story. i feel like nova and charlie understand each other in a way that no one else does. i loved getting to see them transition from flirty friends, to a secret hook-up, to developing real feelings and actually acting on them.

this book is truly about finding your happy place/person and never letting them go. charlie was incredibly adorable and so in love the entire time while nova had to warm up to the idea that what she was feeling was real and meant something to her.

this is by far my new favorite in the series and i couldn’t imagine a better ending. we get all the same funny moments, quirky personalities, and so much more in this book and it truly made for such a bittersweet end! i can’t wait to reread this one in the future and fall even more in love

i do think that if i had physically read vs listened to the audio for this one it could’ve been a 5 star for me but the narrators were just not my favorite and i felt like it altered some things for me especially on how certain scenes and quotes were delivered

All the stars! BK Borrison can do no wrong and writes the dreamiest books! The narrator’s were absolute perfection and brought the story to life in the best way possible. The characters are incredible and it fits so well with her back list. A must read! She’s an auto buy author always.

I've enjoyed this series since the very earliest independent release of Lovelight Farms when the author slid into my Instagram DMs asking me to read a copy of her debut romance. It's definitely sad to say goodbye to Inglewild and the gang, but Business Casual definitely finishes the series with a bang.

I've been waiting for Charlie and Nova's book for a while and Borison delivered! Both Charlie and Nova are so tender and lovely, I just wanted to give them both big hugs. Their banter is flirty and fun, all while the story shows us deep character development and growth both individually and together. Charlie's people pleasing tendencies and Nova's perfectionism both were so relatable and well written.

I listened to the audio of this one which is narrated by Pippa Jayne and Benjamin D Walker who are both new to me narrators. They were both perfect for their characters and very clearly differentiated their performance for different characters.

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison is book 4 of the Lovelight series! I have not read the first three books of this series but I will now!! This book was so much fun! The found family was amazing. The Porters are such a great family and I now need to read the other couples’ stories. The audiobook of Business Casual was very well done and I really enjoyed it! Both narrators did a great job bringing these characters to life. This storyline was so cute and I loved the characters. This is a reverse grumpy x sunshine romance.

Nova Porter was such a relatable character. Charlie gave such golden retriever energy. He was such a sweetheart! He was also so relatable. As a people pleaser myself I connected with Charlie a lot. Him and Nova were perfect for each other. They had great banter and had such great chemistry! This book had me laughing and smiling so much! This just made me want to read the rest of the books in this series. If you like reverse grumpy sunshine, friends with benefits to lovers, small town romance then you should definitely read this book! I am excited to read the other couples’ stories especially after seeing them in this story!

"Business Casual" is the last installment in the Lovelight series. It's been on my radar for a while, but I haven't actually given it a chance until now. And I obviously do regret it. I absolutely love B.K. Borison's writing style! Although, this book can be easily read as a standalone.

I instantly fell in love with Charlie! He's such a sweetheart with a strong golden retriever energy. I kept giggling like a little school girl. He's just the best book boyfriend! Screw Nova, I want him for myself 😏🫢 I have really felt for him and wanted to give him a hug, he's such an amazing guy but he's overlooking all that 'cause of his insecurities. Oh, and screw his 'father' too.

I expected it to be a 5⭐️, but I'd just like more romantic moments between Nova and Charlie.

Nova Porter is trying to get her tattoo studio ready to open and certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. Investment banker Charlie Milford lives in NYC, but seems to always be visiting Inglewild, and the pair has bantered back and forth for years. So when Nova dances with Charlie at his sister Stella’s wedding, she asks him for one night together. No pressure, no strings, just a chance to get whatever “this” is out of their systems. But after their sizzling night together, and with Charlie staying in Inglewild for the next month, it’s clear that just one night won’t do the trick.

I absolutely adore Nova and Charlie. Their quips and banter are a delight, and the perfect complement to their steamy chemistry. But they both have a lot more going on, from Charlie’s people pleaser tendencies and his desire to fit in, to Nova’s internal expectations for her new business venture. Migraine and ADHD rep also enhance their story.

Inglewild is also a character in this book, and is the reason this series is so well loved. It’s the ideal fictional small town, where everyone is a bit quirky and in each other’s business via the famous phone tree, but they all mean well. An added bonus here is lots of time with Beckett from In the Weeds. As Nova’s older brother and Charlie’s friend, he’s important to the plot, and getting to spend time with one of my favorite characters is a special treat.

Business Casual is the perfect finale to a wonderful small town romance series. If you are a fan of opposites attract, “just one night to get it out of our system,” and tons to heat and banter, you’ll adore this story. I’m sad to say goodbye to Inglewild, but I can’t wait to read what BK Borison writes next.

This was the perfect conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series! Nova and Charlie were the perfect compliments to each other. Their flirtations were so relatable! I adored how they were each other’s safe place to land. I loved the appearances of the 3 other couples, but I especially appreciated the family bond of Stella and Charlie. I will definitely be revisiting the world of Lovelight Farms over and over again.

I love getting lost in the world of Lovelight Farms. The audiobook was a quick and easy listen, both narrators are fabulous, and the story was beautifully told. I could vividly picture Nova’s tattoos and I enjoyed the vulnerability in Charlie. This is probably my second favorite book in the series (after the first one)!
