I loved listening to Business Casual. It was swoony, romantic, and emotional. It’s definitely my new favorite in the Lovelight series.

Charlie & Nova have been flirty friends for a while. After a few drinks, Nova decides to proposition Charlie at a wedding. Charlie is completely blown away and caught off guard because he never thought Nova saw him in that way.

These two seemingly opposite souls complemented each other so well. I loved that the book focused on the romance, but allowed each character to have a storyline about their personal growth as well. Nova is starting her career and opening her tattoo shop. Charlie loved visiting their small town, but felt his life and career were in New York. He needed to decide what was most important in his life and where he really wanted to live it.

I really love the author's writing style and how she uses descriptive language. I’ve enjoyed the series so much. I think it translates to audio really well because I was able to so clearly picture the story, which isn’t always easy for me.

The audio was told in dual narration. I really liked both narrators, but I especially loved Benjamin D. Walker’s portrayal of Charlie’s more emotional moments. His performance highlighted his character’s vulnerability really well.

I really enjoyed this series overall and I can’t wait to see what this author releases next.

I think maybe there's something about the author's writing that I just don't connect with.

Everything is there. The small town, the community, the banter, the siblings. It really has the potential to be great, and I see why so many people love them. But it almost feels too perfect to me? Like it feels very polished and glossy and I think my brain catches itself on it. I just for the life of me cannot get into these stories or these characters.

It really just ends up being just okay. And that's fine. We aren't supposed to all love the same things.

The narration was also just okay. A little underwhelming.

Admittedly I am tackling this book series all kinds of backwards. Still my emotional investment in this silly small town is through the roof. Nova and Charlie absolutely stole my heart. Their bickering, their flirting, their chemistry. Love love love. Can't wait to see how the rest of these nerds got together!

this book was already a 5 star read for me but this audio and rereading it rellay manifested it for me.

this book is for the girlies who put pressure on themselves to be perfect without realising they already are perfect. it is for the girlies who crave physical touch and words of affirmations. it is for the insecure girlies who doubt they are ever good enough. And it is for the girlies who feel the need to hide themselves and are scared of being too much, too loud, too annoying. YOU ARE ENOUGH!

this book was an instant 5 star read for me. From the first page i felt connected to this book and was dreading finishing it. The characters, the story, the amount of depth this book has while also being super funny and sweet was just amazing. I also loved the appearances of all the lovelight characters. This book felt like coming home, I adored every second of it.

The dynamic between Charlie and Nova was a breath of fresh air, I adore the black cat x golden retriever trope and this book is the blueprint for it. It reminded me why I love this trope so much, from the chemistry to their banter to the sheer depth of these characters. Utter perfection. I saw myself so much in many different aspects of Charlie's character and all I wanted to do was give this man a big hug.
Charlie is the insecure, but confident on the outside and the notorious people pleaser and Nova, is the closed off, independent girl boss. Their relationship was so raw and honest, and the communication was healthy which I loved to see!!! It developed in such a natural and genuine way I was constantly giggling and kicking my feet! I loved that this one was more steamy and I ate up every single smutty part. The dirty talk was honestly next level. They both supported each other and were so purely themselves, it was wonderful.

The tattoo scene had me in tears for days, just thinking about it makes me emotional!

The little inside jokes and banter was everything to me, it really solidified them as being soulmates.
One of my top romances of this year and it is only January, thank you BK Borison for this masterpiece!!

"You dont have to be lonely anymore. Not when you've got me"

Oh Charlie 🥹 he was my fave character. He was so relatable with his ADHD & loneliness. He was also the sweetest

I absolutely adored him & Nova together. The hecticness of sneaking around in a small town, & the phone tree

The presentation at the end was one of my fave parts 🥺🥺🥺

Huge thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for an advanced copy!

Business Casual by B.K. Borison is a fun and steamy read about two opposites who can’t resist their chemistry. Nova Porter, a tattoo artist opening her new studio, isn’t looking for love but finds herself distracted by Charlie Milford, a buttoned-up investment banker. To get him out of her system, she proposes a one-night stand. But that night turns out to be so explosive that one time isn’t enough. And by explosive I mean, sizzling hot.

Nova and Charlie seem like an unlikely pair, but their dynamic is adorable. They balance each other perfectly, with Nova’s free spirit and Charlie’s straight-laced charm. And did I mention the chemistry? Off the charts. Their secret sex-capades added humor and excitement to the story. So adorable too!

One of the best parts of the book is the strong sense of community. The support from Nova’s family, Charlie himself and the townspeople (the community chat!) is heartwarming and endearing.

While it might not be a standout in terms of memorable books, Business Casual by B.K. Borison is a fast, entertaining, and steamy read that will leave you smiling.

This book is the perfect 4th installment of the Lovelight Farms series. From book 1-4, every character is lovable, intentional, believable, and so fabulously unique. The quirks of each main character, the depth of their internal dialog through successes and struggles, and the uniqueness of each personality are all written in such a perfect way.

I loved Nova and Charlie -- where one is tough, the other is soft. Where one is learning, the other is patient. Where one is passion, the other is the fan encouraging on the fire. The balance between the two is well done, and I particularly appreciated seeing the two support each other as they each went through physical or mental struggles through out the book. It felt equal, like a true partnership. And that, in my opinion, is the best foundation for a lasting relationship.

B.K Borison has done it again (no surprise)!

I listened to the audiobook edition of this book and highly recommend it for audiobook loyalists and dabblers.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison

I’m so sad to say goodbye to Inglewild and all the characters that I’ve come to love, but this was the perfect ending to the series. If you’re looking for black cat x golden retriever energy, this book has it in spades. Charlie is a buttoned up business man who loved spreadsheets, has ADHD, is the sweetest brother, and feels like he can only ever be the fun-loving, boisterous good-time guy. He so badly wants to be loved and accepted and doesn’t think that anyone ever will. He has my whole heart. Nova is a snarky tattoo shop owner who is a little mean and standoffish, but is secretly soft and romantic and is terrified of not living up to people’s expectations. I adored them and their story. I was lucky enough to receive an ALC of the audiobook from Dreamscape Media, and it was fantastic! The dual narration was amazing, and the voice actor and actress matched Charlie and Nova perfectly. Please go read this series right now!!

💭 overall thoughts:
GAHH this was so sweet, I loved it!
Love how it started just dropping us right into Luka & Stella’s wedding 🥹

While this possibly could be read as a standalone, I don’t recommend it. It’s FAR BETTER if you already know & love the previous couples! We do get to see quite a bit of them, along with Charlie & Nova falling in love 💕

I always love a “just once to get it out of our systems” - we all know that’s the biggest lie MCs tell themselves 😅

We’d gotten little hints of Charlie in previous books, and I loved diving deeper into his story, and getting to know him so much better. The way Nova SAW him, and he SAW her - simply beautiful.

🎧 audiobook thoughts:
I enjoyed the male narrator, the female narrator wasn’t for me.
Took me some time to adjust to their styles.

tropes + topics:

Business Casual was excellent. Nova and Charlie’s story was a perfect ending to our time in Inglewild. I loved them both as individual characters and they were so cute (and hot) as a couple. The ending of the book was so perfect for them and it worked great as a wrap up for the whole series as well. Absolutely would recommend to romance readers, especially small town romance fans!

The narrators were both great and I enjoyed the audiobook.

- Small town
- Black cat x golden retriever
- Tattoo artist FMC
- "Business casual" fling
- He takes care of her
- No breakup
- Dual POV
- 🌶️🌶️.5/5

Premise: You treat your sister to a month-long Italy honeymoon, agree to run her small-town business while she's gone… and start a "casual" fling with the grumpy tattoo artist.

I was SO excited to be back in Inglewild at the beginning of this audiobook. Hearing all the familiar places and people made my heart happy. But about 40% into the book, I have to admit that I got bored, which literally breaks my heart 💔.

I think it was a combination of a few things, but predominantly the lack of plot and the relationship dynamic. I'm not a one-night stand/casual/FWB girlie, and this book did lean into the "dancing around our feelings" aspect that I'm just not a fan of.

But what I did like was the character depth. Nora struggled with perfectionism, and Charlie struggled to figure out where he fit and not give in to his people-pleasing tendencies. He was the quintessential soft B.K. MC and his love language would be spreadsheets if that were a thing.

Their relationship also perfectly balanced spice and banter with vulnerable moments. Ultimately, I think I had too high expectations because I adore this series, and this book didn't give me the same warm, fuzzy feeling as its predecessors. But the beginning and end definitely saved the book for me. It was just the middle where I lost interest.

If you read other reviews, though, it seems I'm in the minority. I'm still excited to see what the author has in store next.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the early audio copy.

Nova Porter and Charlie Milford don’t have time for a relationship, but a one-night stand with someone you’ve been flirting with for months isn’t something either can resist! However, Nova doesn’t realize Charlie is staying for the month to help farm-sit while Stella and Luca are on their honeymoon. It’s impossible to restrict their attraction to one-night only.

I adored both Charlie and Nova! He was sweet, silly, and so caring! Nova was also caring, striving to get her business off the ground, not only for herself, but to prove to Beckett (her older brother) his sacrifices weren’t in vain. I loved their flirty banter, texts and sexy encounters!

Business Casual was like a Hallmark Movie with spice! Lots of well-done spice! So thankful there was no third act breakup!

B.K. Borison’s writing is beautiful, vividly bringing every gorgeous detail to life: the setting of Idlewild and Lovelight Farms, trees, flowers, the bakeshop; I wanted to visit and soak up all the beauty! It sounds so picturesque!

I alternately listened to and read an e-copy of Business Casual and recommend either version. Pippa Jayne has a lush, dreamy voice, and Benjamin D. Walker's voice brought out Charlie's personality perfectly. I enjoyed how they alternately performed the back-and-forth text messages, too!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for this gifted copy of Business Casual!

One last trip to Inglewild. One last trip to Lovelight Farms. First time in a long time I teared up at the end of a book.

Charlie is the perfect sunshine, golden retriever boy, who just wants to be loved, and accepted by everyone he meets. Nova is your favorite grumpy girl, who also just wants to be loved. They’re a match made in heaven, but they just don’t know it. So why not be friends with benefits.

This book was SPICY. Way more spicy than I was expecting. I loved these characters but damn, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I loved how every character from previous Lovelight books were intertwined to this story in the most perfect way.

The narriators of this book did a great job bringing this story to life—they were able to get a lot of the sarcasm and humor done well. I wouldn’t say they are my favorite narrators, but they did a great job.

BK always does a wonderful job, and I’m sad this series is over. It was a wonderful ending

Returning to the town of Inglewild and for the conclusion of the Lovelight Farms series was an absolute dream. This series is so special! I had feared that the ending may not live up to the hype or expectation, but it was even better than I could have imagined.

Charlie and Nova touched my heart so deeply. I loved their chemistry and friendship and rooted for them every step of the way as their story developed. The character depth is incredible on so many levels. It was a joy to revisit our favorite couples from the previous books and the townsfolk we have come to know and love within this small fictional town.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC as the dual narration for Charlie and Nova really brought these characters to life. They nailed the humor and the heart in this story. I loved every minute of it! In fact, I have found myself relistening to chapters even though I have finished the book.

AUDIOBOOK eARC received from net galley.
I did not know when I received it that it was just three days before the archive but I tried listening to it the first time and it was too slow of a progress for me maybe because of the writing? I liked the little nuances on the voice of the FMC the MMC not so much, but for the story, I don't think this is it for me. I just realized too that I had dnf=ed book two prior a year ago or so. SO maybe the hype did not bode well with me. But I adore how the MMC found out he's in love with her. The tortured thinking that he's gonna mess it up and the adoration and affection of the FMC regardless of how her character is. Well Also THAT PROPOSAL! YESS to WOMEN TATTOO ARTIST ♥

"You're so wet. Is all this for me?"
"I was thinking of John Stamos."

"You said one night; you didn't say one time."

"...You'll talk to me tomorrow. You won't hide from me. I refuse to be a regret, Nova."

"I never felt like I was missing anyone before."

I laughed, I swooned and I shed a tear saying goodbye to the Lovelight Farms romcom series, with the fourth and final audiobook, Business Casual by the amazingly talented author B.K. Borison.

In this final installment of the steamy laugh out loud small town romantic comedy series we have opposites attract Beckett's tattooed, casual in life sister, Nova and Stella's straight lace all business golden retriever brother, Charlie, finally admitting their attraction to each other. But Stella's opening her tattoo shop and just wants one night to get Charlie out of her system and Charlie, well he's going to change her mind, because one night with Nova will never be enough.

Voice actress Pippa Jayne.was such sarcastic fun fooling no one about her real feelings for Charlie. Voice actor Benjamin D. Walker not only wins Nova's heart with his swoony tone, he won mine too.

The writer brought the laughs, the steam, the romance and the Inglewood townsfolk together for one last adorable couple. It's a standalone but, seriously, why deprive yourself?! Experience all 4 books. There's nothing casual about this town's business of fun and love. This is a ready made TV series @netflix.

Book 1 - Lovelight Farms
Book 2 - In The Weeds
Book 3 - Mixed Signals
Book 4- Business Casual (series completed)

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

A fun series with great banter and this book only takes that up a notch! The starts at Lovelight Farm and then ventures into the surrounding town to bring in the townspeople, families of the core Lovelight Farm characters and more. This book follows Nova, Beckett's youngest sister, and Charlie, Stella's brother as they navigate friendship, casual lovers and finally maybe more....if they don't sabotage themselves and screw it all up. The book is a sweet small-town romance with bits and bites of spice to heat things up! The banter is hilarious, the shenanigans full out loud laugh worthy and the spice is swoon worthy. The underlying theme of communication and reaching for what you want is well written throughout the book and helps bring a bit of hope to the story that we all need today! I can't recommend this series and in particular this book enough. The narration is outstanding with dual narration to help bring the Nova and Charlie more fully to life. If you like a good Hallmark movie, but with a touch more spice to it, then this is absolutely the book or rather the series for you!

This is the fourth and final book in the Lovelight series! I’ve really enjoyed this series. It’s both sweet and spicy. They can be read as a stand-alone, but I definitely recommend starting with the first book.

Business Casual was a fun conclusion to the series. I loved coming back to Inglewild and the comical “phone tree.” Who wouldn’t love a romance between Stella’s brother Charlie, and Bennett’s sister Nova! Charlie had me swooning every time he called Nova, Nova Girl! I just loved it! There was a lot of miscommunication between these two, but in the end it didn’t detract from my love of the story.

The epilogue and conclusion to the series was perfect! I will miss Lovelight Farms and all the sweet characters I have come to love over the years!

Short synopsis: After sending his sister on a dream honeymoon, Charlie takes over her tree farm for the fall festival. Running into his best friends sister Nova, they decide to have a one stand to get it out of their system.

My thoughts: We are back in Inglewild, with the meddling phone tree which has grown new branches. I’ve really loved this series, and how each character from the previous books make a cameo.

I absolutely love Artsy Nova and how passionate she is and I loved the chemistry between her and broken Charlie. This was sizzling from the get-go, so expect quite a bit of spice.

I’m sad to see this series come to and end, but I’m excited to see what the author comes out with next!

I was so excited to also get an early copy of the audio on this! The dual narration was so well done, they really complemented each other. I especially loved the chapters with the text messages.

Read if you love:
- Best friends sister
- Just one night
- Found family
- Sunshine arty girl and Business savvy guy
- Cameos from interconnected series
- Tattoos and Flowers

This was such a good romance book. I loved their love story and the small town vibe. I haven't read the others in the series but now I must! This is a book about a close knit family and found family which is one of my favorite tropes. It is for sure worth the read or listen. I loved the narrators and how they told the story. They were so good.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
