All I can say is this was so fun! I love it when a rom-com book has both elements: romance and comedy. I had previously read Lovelight Farms but did not have much interest in the others in this series, but after listening to this, I will be reading Borison's backlog. The tension between the two main characters is *chefs kiss*. Sneaking around in a town that nosy though... Like come on, y'all were not that slick. I love when I connect to characters to the point where I am giggling and kicking my feet and this book was that for me.

The narrators were great at immersing you in this story and these characters. Narrators can be hit or miss for me, but I would definitely listen to them again, together or separately!

Book 4 of the Lovelight Farms series. Works as a stand alone.

Nova is preparing to open a tattoo studio in her hometown. She is focused on her business and has no desire to be in a relationship. Charlie, Stella's brother from New York, flirts relentlessly with her. She is stressed from trying to open up her business- maybe just one night with Charlie will relieve some tension. Then one night doesn't seem to be enough. The more time she spends with Charlie, the more she sees through his façade. He's not who he appears to be, and it is easy to be with him. Perhaps she can be with someone without giving up pieces or herself.

Charlie and Nova compliment each other well. I love Charlie- he is completely relatable- always wearing a mask so no one sees the real him. I liked their relationship and how they brought out the best in each other. Extra points for not having a third act breakup!

Pippa Jayne narrates again. She is still not my favorite, but it didn't bother me that much. I got pretty used to her after a few chapters. Benjamin D. Walker also narrates and is a big improvement over the male narrator in books two and three. No complaints about him at all.

I received an advance audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a spicy series. I love the storyline. The characters were well portrayed and had depth to them. I really really want to go to Lovelight Farms.

I remember finding the lovelight series on Netgalley and thought they sounded like a cute fun series and it has been. I believe this is the last book in the series and if it is I'm sad its over but Love Loved Charlie & Nova

This is a no strings attached get together that turns into so much more than anyone could of thought! Nova is used to doing everything on her own and tries to prove to everyone she doesn't need help and Charlie is the kindest most helpful person so together they fit together. Charlie is everything!

You can read them on there own but I 100% recommend reading them all in order you wont be disappointed!

This comes out July 16th 2024

Thank you NetGalley for the audio-ARC for my honest opinions. Also any other books B.K. Borison comes out with I 100% will be reading!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫(4.5)

Nova Porter isn’t looking for love, especially not with charming investment banker Charlie Milford. To clear her mind before her tattoo studio opens, she proposes a one-night, no-strings deal. With Charlie now heading Lovelight Farms, avoiding him is impossible. Can he convince Nova he's worth the longterm investment?

“Is it selfish if I take the things that I want?” “Not if it’s willingly given.”

I love a businessman beau, and there's nothing cuter than when he's ALSO a classic golden retriever 🫠 Nova and Charlie's opposites-attract chemistry was a true delight, and I reveled in being back in Inglewild with the nosy small-town phone tree 😂 Normally, I hate the one-night-stand/friends-with-benefits trope, but it was so enjoyable seeing Charlie discover he's worth Nova's affection and forever partnership. It was also a treat—almost as decadent as Layla’s cookies—to witness a special wedding and grin at the previous couples’ happiness. As I have come to love, B.K. Borison’s cutesy writing style with flowery flair is what truly makes these couples sparkle in this charming town.

Thank you @dreamscape_media for the ALC 🥰 I literally screamed when I saw it on my shelf in the @netgalley app!

I am obsessed with this opposites attract love story. Charlie had my heart absolutely breaking at times with how lonely he was and how much he wanted to simply be wanted. I also loved Nova’s spunky and creative personality. They challenged each other so well that from that very first dance I was rooting for them. I also loved how chaotic and involved the whole town was with everyone’s business. Poor Charlie, though, when he was booted from the phone tree and couldn’t figure out why. I do feel like this book should come free with a dessert, though, with how many delicious confections were mentioned throughout. The spice between these two was also incredibly well done. I will admit I have not read the other books in the series, but after reading this one, I plan to go back to the rest of the series even knowing some of the outcomes. I read this via audiobook and LOVED the narration. Pippa Jayne and Benjamin D. Walker really brought these two characters  to life while also injecting added chemistry to the story making it pure, bingeable perfection. I highly recommend reading this via audiobook.

I loved this book, and it might be my favorite of the Lovelight series. I adored seeing all of our previous couples as side characters in this installment. It was fun to catch up with their lives and to see them happy in their pairings. Nova and Charlie felt very real to me. I could see parts of myself in Nova and her ambition to further her career as well as her desire to live up to her brother's expectation and faith in her. Charlie's struggles with anxiety and insecurity really spoke to me, a fellow anxious and insecure girly, and his attempt to process his emotions regarding Nova and their status felt real. I loved that the conflict in this book was so everyday-just two people navigating the modern fwb/defining the relationship/dating scene of today's age. It is a simple but super valid struggle everyone in my generation goes through, so it felt the most relatable of the 4 books. The two of them are so funny and goofy together. I loved their flirty banter, but it also warmed my heart to see how comfortable they grow to become with each other. The whole story felt very applicable to reality while still being a fun experience. It will probably be one of my favorite books of the year!

My *only* complaint is that the narrator sounds like Jerry Seinfeld when trying to voice the parts of Gus. Other than that, a great addition to the Lovelight Farms series!

Nova & Charlie were the perfect conclusion to wrap up this series.

In fact, I'm confident this is my favourite book in the series. Nova was the perfect black cat to Charlie's golden retriever.

Charlie is a true golden retriever. He's out here doing everything he can to capture the hearts and attention of the folks of Inglewild, hoping someone will give him the love, attention, and affection while helping him find his place in this little town and asking him to stay.

Nova is the independent tattoo artist who is holding herself to the highest of standards as she endeavours in entrepreneurship as a tattoo artist and shop owner. She wants everything to be absolutely perfect to impress her older brother who has been her biggest supporter from day one.

The character growth for both Nova and Charlie is exactly what I wanted from them. Charlie wasn't happy in New York and struggled with insecurities due to trying to meet his narcissistic father's expectations in a job and city he is not happy in. When Carlie finally finds the strength to stand up to his father and begin to overcome some of his insecurities and mental blocks, he truly comes into himself and allows himself to shine through.

I absolutely LOVED that Nova was the one to have the "ah-ha!" moment and made the decision to do the grand gesture (not once but twice?!)! It was such a fun change and perfectly suited their characters.

The narration performed by Pippa Jayne and Benjamin D. Walker was so entertaining to listen to! Sometimes if I listen to a book too fast I catch my mind wandering, and I listened to this one faster than my normal pace and the narrators kept my attention the entire time. They delivered a convincing performance that I really enjoyed.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the advanced listening copy.

This was...fine. The book was fine, the narrators were fine. But there was nothing that made me rush back to my earbuds, wanting more. I somehow skipped about an hour or two's worth of material at one point and it took me quite a while to even figure out I'd missed anything. This was my first time reading this author, so I'm not sure if reading the others would have made me feel differently.

The audiobook is just as perfect at the book. I loved every second of it. The narrators were incredible. I had the best time ever.

This book is about as low-stakes as a romance gets. It is not a good entrypoint to the Lovelight series. If you don't already care about the denizens of Inglewild, and all of the characters associated with Lovelight Farms, then I can see this novel falling completely flat for you.

Lucky for me, I already adore this series and had such a fun time reading this final installment! It is maybe my favorite romance read of the summer so far. I really love Borison's writing. It's sexy, cozy and pleasing to the senses. I so enjoy the way she writes about food and art and family and falling in love.

I've seen this series compared to Hallmark movies, and I completely disagree. Yes, these are feel-good novels and easy reads, but they have real texture and flavor and character. Hallmark romances take place in nondescript Smalltown, USA with nondescript everyman and everywoman stock characters. But Inglewild feels like a unique place. And apart from maybe the first book—sorry Luka and Stella, your story is fun but you are both kind of meh—the characters have the sweetness and complexity of people you'd like to know in real life.

Borison writes great sex scenes and this book is no exception. Charlie, our hero, is a people-pleaser and that extends to the bedroom. But I loved seeing him flip a switch and act jealous or demanding in certain scenes when he wasn't able to tamp down his emotions. I think what makes Borison's sex scenes really good is that they are always hyper-specific to the characters she's writing about. They advance the romance and illuminate character.

I'm very sad this series has come to an end. I know Borison has a new book coming in February, but I will miss Inglewild and Lovelight Farms. 😢

GAHHH!! This book!!! My heart is full and happy and Nova and Charlie get all the heart eyes. I loved every single thing about it. It was just perfect. And the narrators did so well at bringing it all to life.

Charlie oh Charlie. I loved him so much and just, he’s so everything and I wanted to hug him. I was so proud of him. And Nova is just so beautiful. I love how they just see each other and the support and friendship they have, while their feelings continue to grow. And then the chemistry between them? Wow 😮‍💨, it was fun and playful and oh so steamy.

With this one, I just kept getting hit in the feels. All the happy tears leaking down my face and a silly smile slapped on it, and then parts had me in hysterics, god they had just good back and forth. I just could not get enough of this book nor stop reading and absolutely devoured it. I love this small town and all its people and the series is just so wonderful. It was everything I didn’t know I needed. And just go read it already!

In the fourth and final installment of the Lovelight Farms series, Stella’s brother Charlie gifts her an extended honeymoon and comes to care for her farm in her absence. While in town, he encounters Nova, Beckett’s tattoo artist youngest sister. They strike up a plan to hook up and get their mutual attraction out of their system and come to an arrangement that they deem “business casual,” meaning that it’s not serious but they won’t see anyone else or tell anyone about it. As you can imagine, it doesn’t stay casual for long.

My heart is still recovering from this series and this final book. I have loved this series since the first book (which is my favorite) but I think it has serious competition from this book as my new co-favorite (if that’s a thing). If you didn’t know, this series is based around the seasons and each book is based upon one season. This book is based on the fall, and it has the perfect fall vibes. I can’t wait to reread it while wrapped in blankets, watching leaves fall, while baking cookies and drinking all the pumpkin things. Sigh. Too bad it’s currently a heat wave.

I received this as an audiobook and it was excellent to listen to! Pippa Jayne and Benjamin D. Walker narrated the audio perfectly. It was like listening to a TV show and made the banter hit perfectly and text messages back and forth were even more fun. I highly recommend checking out their rendition of the audio!

I absolutely loved Charlie as the MMC. He’s the perfect golden retriever lead who falls first and harder, a trust fund guy who doesn’t come across as a jerk but is actually kind and thoughtful. The microtropes in this book were perfection: golden retriever/black cat, opposites attract, let’s just get it out of our system, he takes care of her while sick, meddling small town, and found family- I just loved them all! Honestly I could go on all day, but I hope you’ll read the whole series (because why wouldn’t you??) and end it perfectly with this warm hug of a book.

Thank you so much to B.K. Borison for the beautiful ending to Lovelight Farms and Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

This book is so bittersweet because it’s the final book in the Lovelight series. You can read all of the books as a standalone but I strongly suggest starting with Lovelight Farms and end with this wonderfully done conclusion. Charlie and Nova are the cutest. I loved watching their attempt to have only one night stand turn into a loving relationship. Their banter was impeccable. Love the rest of the characters and how much the phone tree plays such cute role in the book. I will miss you, Lovelight!!

The narrators were also fantastic. Just perfect.

I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this book. I loved the first three books in the Lovelight Farms Series and this was just as cute! I read the other three and listening to this one in audio was a fun change. I felt that both narrators did a great job conveying the personalities of the main characters and itis was enjoyable to listen to them tell me the story. This is a light and fluffy romance and a perfect one for summer! See a brief synopsis below!

Nova is a tattoo artist living in the small town of Inglewild. She is focused on opening up her own Tattoo Shop and is not really looking for a relationship. She is attracted to her friend's brother, Charlie who is just in town temporarily and they decide to enter into a friends with benefits arrangement to get their attraction out of their system. What blossoms is a sweet story of love and acceptance. Five stars from me for the fun romance! Coming out on July 16!

Thank you Dreamscape for the ALC!!!
I loved hearing this amazing story come to life! The narration was so good and made me feel like I was right in it with Charlie & Nova :)

I have been in love with Lovelight Farms since it first published, and more specifically with Charlie Milford. BUSINESS CASUAL delivered in every possible way for what I wanted for Charlie and his oh so deserving happily ever after. as a golden retriever hero with a desperate yearning to be part of a big, loving family in Inglewild, Charlie finding his happy with Nova was the most special thing to read. Nova, in finding her stability, confidence, and grace within herself, also is able to find a true happiness with Charlie not just as fun roll in the sheets but as a dear friend, confidant, and lover. their story is full of honesty, goofiness, vulnerability, grace, freakiness, and so much love in so many forms.

I loved seeing Charlie find his rightful home in Inglewild; the way the town accepts him as one of their own before he even realizes it; the way he learns he does not need to earn a place at their table, he has one set for him always. seeing him find his happy and forever with Nova and in their perfect little town had me in tears and smiles all throughout this story. Nova fulfilling her dreams, finally making herself at home in her home balances Charlie so well.

and the lovely family & friend dynamics between Nova and Beckett, the whole Porter family, and the rest of the Lovelight band of misfits make this story so amazing! seeing where all my fav couples have gone since their own stories was so special, I cried so much just seeing where Stella and Luka, Beck and Evie, and Layla and Caleb ended up; it made it the most bittersweet, tearfully lovely end to this series.

I can't believe this series is actually over, but I find my happiness and comfort in knowing I'll have a reason to disappear into Lovelight Farms every season forever and ever :)

4.5 stars

What a great end to the Lovelight series! Charlie and Nova were such a fun pair and their story was perfect for the Fall season setting. I loved how both MCs had those under-pressure feelings and insecurities about not being good enough, I thought it helped them connect on a deeper level before they even realized it. I do wish we went a little deeper into the ADHD of Charlie's and Nova's migraines because those aspects could have had a bigger impact in the story.

Regarding the audiobook specifically, I have actually listened to all of the Lovelight series as audio and the narrators are great throughout the series. I was glad to have them back for the final installment. Also, I am pretty sure that first spicy scene was an hour long (and I listen at 1.25 speed)!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the ALC!

I first visited the LOVELIGHT FARMS world thanks to strong armed threats from Ok- not really. To know Stephanie is to know she's a delight! And I pretty much read whatever she tells me to. I'm so glad she did because I quickly fell in love with all.the.things.

𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋 (Pub 07.16) is the 4th and final book set in this world. This sweet, contemplative and satisfying rom-com is the perfect ending. Although I already know I'll be revisiting them soon. It's a swoony, happy story. Once again- I loved everything about it. Charlie and Nova were delightful and relatable. What I loved most was that while their story was emotional, it wasn't too angsty. I love me some angst- but sometimes I crave a swoony story.

This was the perfect ending to the Lovelight series. If there’s one word to describe this book it would be cute!!!!!! Everything about this book is cute! Their love story, their actions to each other, and their words. Nova is one of the funniest and strong willed fmc I have ever seen. She also has the biggest heart and would do anything for her family and friends. Charlie is the sweetest man alive. Not only that but he has all the charm in the world. These two were made for each other. They bring out the best in each other and love each other no matter what. I loved seeing all of the previous couples as well. The found family aspect is what makes this series so good. This book is for anyone who wants a swoon worth, cute romance that will have you kicking your feet.
