I liked the Mead Mishaps series by this author, so I was interested in this one. But it was all over the place and it kept jumping from scene-to-scene way too quickly. The best thing about this book is Toto the lion.

3.5 stars
This was bonkers and I liked it. It wasn't quite the rom-com the title suggests, due to the near death experiences around every corner.
There are loads of characters, loads of insanity, loads of humor, and loads of sexy times. I wish there would have been more time for the main three to actually get to know each other and have some actual conversations, but again, there's not really time for it.
Overall, this was a quick read and I am definitely interested in the next book.
**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge**

Officially, I’m a Monster Smut Girlie now! I never thought I’d enjoy monster romance, but Kimberly Lemming has yet to disappoint me. Her books always guarantee a mix of laugh-out-loud moments and scandalous gasps (yes, clutch those pearls!).
In *I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com*, we follow Dory, a woman abducted from her home planet and dropped into the middle of a scientific experiment to help save an alien race. The story tracks her struggle for survival and her mission to escape, all while navigating complicated relationships with Lok, the stoic and capable alien general who helped her out of a deadly trap, and Sol, her mysterious and resourceful alien companion who saved her from a terrifying seabeast. As a polyamorous romance, the book dives into themes of loyalty, desire, and tough choices, as Dory is nearly forced to decide between the two.
While Kimberly’s writing is as captivating as ever, I felt that Dory’s character lacked a certain depth. Her backstory involving issues with her mother is touched on, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something more was missing from her development. It could just be me, but adding Lok and Sol’s points of view might have enriched the story and provided a better understanding of their dynamics with Dory.
That said, I really appreciated that Dory didn’t fall for either of them immediately. The slow buildup made her relationships feel more realistic. And can we talk about Toto? As the lion who initially seemed like a threat, Toto became a loyal and humorous friend who added so much heart to the story.
Overall, *I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com* earned a 3.5/5 for me. While not perfect, it’s still an entertaining read that showcases Kimberly’s ability to craft diverse, imaginative worlds that leave you marveling at her creativity. She remains one of my favorite monster romance authors, and I can’t wait to see what strange and steamy adventures she dreams up next!

A hilarious paranormal rom com about a woman who is getting her PhD in wildlife biology but finds herself abducted by aliens while examining lions... and now she has a talking lion as a new friend and two very hot aliens who are convinced she is their mate... and did I mention she's stuck on a whole new planet and has to fight off prehistoric creatures? Dorothy Valentine is so close to getting her PhD in wildlife biology but is suddenly attacked by a lion and is then saved.. or rather abducted by aliens and crash lands on a whole new planet. There she meets Sol, a sexy alien and Lok, another hot alien war criminal. The lion that almost killed her? Also came along and can now talk and his name is Toto. Dory has her work cut out for her as she and her new friends explore the new world and all the deadly creatures around... and did I mention that Dory discovers that Sol and Lok both think she is their mate... but they can't stand each other... yet they dont mind sharing her.... well well well this stay just got a lot hotter for Dory. I am such a huge fan of Kimberly Lemming's books and this was such a new fun spin on a paranormal romance and with a MMF couple!!! I have always loved Kimberly's writing and her fun way of building a romance and story and this was just a hilarious romp of a time. Toto the lion was by far my second favorite part of the story, I adored him so much. Seriously this was a great read and I had an amazing time giggling and laughing while reading this!

*Thanks Netgalley and Berkley Publishing Group | Berkley for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

What did I just read?
It was entertaining but felt like an acid trip rolled into a book
Seriously I’m puzzled but I enjoyed myself
Would continue the series just to see the rest of the insanity the author comes up with lol

Kimberly Lemmons has done it again! And I'm a huge fan—I think I own three or four of her previous books—and I love how she blends silly humor, laugh-out-loud moments, and lava-hot steaminess. "I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com" delivers all of that and more. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
This book was a wild ride! We have Dory, a PhD candidate studying meerkats, who gets abducted by aliens (along with a lion named Toto, who almost ate her!). The adventure that follows is pure chaos and hilarity, in true Kimberly Lemmon fashion. They crash-land on a planet crawling with dinosaurs, where she encounters Sol and Lok—two incredibly hot aliens who, in true alien smut fashion, are both her mates. And who's complaining? Not me. Dory is brilliant and badass—also sarcastic, messy, and so relatable. Toto the talking lion stole my heart, and Sol and Lok are both panties-on-the-floor swoon-worthy. The plot is twisty and unpredictable, keeping you guessing until the very end. The world-building is creative and funny.
This book is ridiculous, hilarious, utterly entertaining, and just an overall blast. I'll definitely be snatching a copy when it's released, or even better, preordering it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, out-of-this-world sci-fi alien romance.

This was a hoot and a half (lols iykyk) Dory is a wildlife biologist who ends up getting attacked by a lion and beamed up to some aliens. Oh, and the way she can talk to everyone? Kisses.
She gets mated to a couple aliens. Fights off a couple aliens. Punches a bird alien. Did I mention that there are dinosaurs too?
This book was so unserious and I was laughing through the whole book. I cannot such a fun, quick read, that is silly, spicy, and romantic all at once.

Kimberly Lemming does it again with her brilliant writing that blends humor and romance seamlessly!
I absolutely adore her Mead Mishaps series and the start of her Cosmic Chaos series is looking just as promising!

Thank you to Berkley for a chance to read an arc this book! 🖤
DNF 24% — NOOOOOO
Overall Thoughts 💭:
The beginning of this book was chaotic and insane. We go from subsaharan Africa, to an alien spacecraft, to a planet with long extinct dinosaurs and foliage from different millennia's. I love alien romances and I enjoyed the Mead Mishaps series so I was excited to start reading this! I struggled getting into this book I started with the digital arc and then I moved to a audiobook arc and while I would manage to get through more of the book with the audio arc, it took so long for me to finally get to that moment where I understood what was going on and also cared what was going on. I also hoped for more relationship development but from the moment the nano-insta love thing was explained I was a bit overwhelmed and over it.

What the heck did I just read? This book is one of the wildest craziest books I've ever read. I loved it.

I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming

Dory is a wildlife biologist working in the Kalahari desert studying meerkats when she’s killed by a lion and beamed onboard an alien ship, revived, and whisked off to a planet to be studied by said aliens. Aliens who are interested in seeing her mate with other similar aliens. Oh, and the lion who killed her is now her sidekick and they can speak to each other thanks to alien translator technology.
OK, so that’s the crazy premise of this story. It’s sci-fi so you just have to go with it and trust the wild ride this book takes you on. It’s hilarious and entertaining and beyond spicy! Oh boy! We’re talking alien threesomes hello! Definitely a fun one to add to your Valentines’s TBR. And if you need another reason to indulge, you can also celebrate Black History Month with this BIPOC beauty.
Thank you, @KimberlyLemming, @BerkleyRomance, and @NetGalley for my free book.

This is a perfect pick-me-up romance for when you need something irreverent and not trying to be more than it is. I'd heard of Kimberly Lemming's other books (both from friends and as shout-outs in other romance novels), and I am so happy that I got the chance to read this one. If you were a fan of Shelly Laurenston's Pride series, this is definitely a book to try. And if you loved other books that name-dropped Kimberly Lemming (such as The Love Simulation by Etta Easton), definitely give Kimberly a try, there's a reason she was name dropped. In short, if you need a funny, sexy, book that is going to make you laugh out loud at ridiculousness (while still being pretty literarily realistic), this is the one to reach for.

This one was not for me, but that is on me and not the author. I was promised silliness, but it ended up being a little too silly for me personally. I do think it delivers exactly what Kimberly Lemming's fans are expecting–outrageous goofy antics and a cast of loveable characters.

3.5*
a silly goofy fun time with hot aliens and dinosaurs!! kimberly lemming knows how to write such hilarious characters and outrageous stories wrapped up in a fun time!!

🤯This was my first ever Kimberly Lemming and it was WILD (in a good way). I couldn't stop laughing through at least 70% of this book and highly recommend a) going in blind and b) carving out time to read this in public otherwise everyone may judge your facial reactions. Every time I thought Lemming hit the bar for comedy, she would raise it higher with quirky pop culture (Target/ cul-de-sac) references. The knotting and steamy scenes had me blushing, making "Abducted" a book I needed in a time where society is gloomy and a mess.

If you haven’t read Kimberly Lemming before, congrats—your TBR just doubled. You’re going to need everything she’s written because her books are absolute chaos in the best possible way and this one is no exception.
The Premise (Yes, It’s As Wild As It Sounds)
Dorothy Valentine (Dory, for short) is just out here vibing, studying meerkats, and dodging her mother’s matchmaking attempts when she gets abducted by aliens. As one does. Now, she’s stuck on an entirely different planet with:
✔️ A very attractive new species of love interest(s)
✔️ An existential crisis (understandable)
✔️ A lion sidekick she names Toto because, obviously.
Oh and she has to kiss everyone in order to understand them - genius.
Cue shenanigans, steamy times, and a whole lot of laugh-out-loud moments.
Why You’ll Love It
• Dory is a delight. She’s sassy, adaptable, and just rolls with the madness in a way that makes you instantly root for her.
• The romance? 🔥🔥🔥 Two insanely hot aliens/fated mates who are completely into her.
• Action + laughs = perfect balance. There’s a legit plot with high stakes, but it never skimps on the humour or steam.
• Universal lawyer jokes. Apparently, lawyers exist on other planets, and no one is happy about it. I found this detail so funny.
Madcap, sexy, and downright addictive, this book is pure fun. If you love your romance with a side of absurdity you will love this.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC! All opinions are my own.

"A hilarious and sexy romance about a woman who gets dropped on a strange planet only to fall for not one, but two, aliens, from the author of I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf.
Dorothy Valentine is close to getting her PhD in wildlife biology when she's attacked by a lion. On the bright side, she's saved! On the not-so-bright side, it's because they're abducted by aliens. In her scramble to escape, Dory and the lion commandeer an escape pod and crash-land on an alien planet that has...dinosaurs?
Dory and her new lion bestie, Toto, are saved in the nick of time by a mysterious and sexy alien, Sol. On their new adventure, they team up with the equally hot, equally dangerous Lok, who may or may not be a war criminal. Whether it be trauma, fate, or intrigue, Dory can't resist the attraction that's developing in their trio....
As this ragtag group of misfits explore their new planet, Dory learns more about how and why they've all ended up together, battles more prehistoric creatures than she imagined (she imagined...zero), and questions if she even wants to go back home to Earth in this hilarious and steamy alien romance adventure comedy romp."
I little Ozian, a little Arthur Dentian, and a whole lot of sexy.

If I could go anywhere it would be Kimberly Lemming’s mind because this story was wacky! I can honestly say I’ve never read anything like this in my life.

I thought the world we were brought into was creative and fun. But I did feel like the focus on the planet and hijinks took away from the character’s relationships. The romance went fast and didn’t leave me feeling convinced. Overall I enjoyed this but it’s not my favorite Kimberly Lemming.

If you like your romance novels madcap and steamy, look no further than Kimberly Lemming!
When Dory gets abducted from her job as wildlife biologist, she thinks it just rotten luck and sh*tty timing on the part of the weird owl-like aliens that hold her captive. But with the help of a talking lion named Toto, she escapes in a space pod and crashes into the surface of an alien world...strangely populated by dinosaurs, ice age animals and extinct plants! Come to find out, not only was she abducted and "modified" to be a viable breeding mate for a dying alien species, she's also the foremost expert on human mating rituals this side of the galaxy!
This is a fun read-alike to Lemming's "Mead Mishaps" series, with even more sarcasm, hilarity, and a MFM romance that's sure to have you flipping pages faster than a rampaging T-Rex!

"Intern, all of these houses only have one bed."
"Correct," he chirped happily.
I searched the ceiling for the patience that escaped me. "Why do all of these houses only have one bed?"
"Our research shows that the 'only one bed' method is a tried-and-true way to get humans to mate!"
4/5 stars for this absolutely hilarious book!
4/5 on the spice level (aliens, MFM, lots of spice, magic drugs, fated mates)
Thank you to Netgalley and Penguin Random House for this ARC!
This was my first book I've read by Kimberly Lemming, and it did not disappoint at all. I absolutely adored this from start to finish. If you're an alien, sci-fi, fantasy, out-of-pocket reader you will need to add this to your TBR! The series is literally called Cosmic Chaos and truly.... she hit the nail on the head.
You have the FMC Dorothy Valentine who is a crazy intelligent animal biologist that while she is trying to get her PhD in research, her world gets flipped upside down with a talking Lion (named Todo) and prehistoric animals within a new world. This book was wild, so fun, and a little bit unhinged in the best way.
I really LOVED Dory as an FMC, she took everything with a scientific viewpoint and when the craziness started to happen it felt like she was still in touch with reality along with the chaos.
The sarcasm and witty dialog were having me laugh out loud.
""Not....fly."
"Nope."
Its eyes darted to me again, then away. "I... not fly." The frog blinked rapidly again. A look of shock crossed its face. "I... I can...think?"
The frog fell very still. Then it just started screaming and didn't stop.
I pulled out my phone and added a note not to grant sentience to any other animals."
Dory was facing adventure and chaos. She was able to keep her wits about her and would question everything. It made us connect with her as readers and for me fall in love with all the different added elements in the crazy world.
The two MMC's Sol and Lok were WONDERFUL, fun, so sweet and S P I C Y???? The intimacy and heat that I got in this book took me by surprise. Even if the tropes were used in a satirical way Lemming truly did it all so well in her writing. The men had different personalities that fit the characters, Sol has my heart all the way.
"Yes," Lok breathed, "Look at you, gorgeous, you take us so well."
BECAUSE I'm sorry???? YES. whatever you say sir.
Overall this book was so fun, adventurous and wonderful. I would recommend anyone that is craving something new and a little bit of knotty spice to pick this one up!
