100% pick this up. I'm going immediately to read other works by this author. It was funny, spicy, romantic, and also absolutely off the wall crazy. Would not change a thing.

If you're looking for a why choose, alien threesome that has an audience, oh and a talking lion? This is the book for you.

I absolutely devoured this book, I loved it so much! It had me laughing nonstop; it was such a hilariously good time. The snark was top-tier, and I adored the sibling-like dynamic between Dory and Toto. Plus, her attraction to Lok and Sol, and her struggle against it because of Intern and her circumstances, made for such a fun, compelling read. I fell in love with Kimberly Lemming’s Mead Mishaps series, and this new book does not disappoint! A great start to a new series!

Kimberly Lemming is a romance comedy genius, and that is shown so perfectly in this book: not only am I laughing out loud at the absurd situation and Dory's sarcasm, but I was also absolutely panting over the spicy scenes. I love the way Lemming's books always make me both care about the characters and finding their path to happiness, while also hoping for the next crazy thing that gets in their way.

Ramona and the lion that attacked her are abducted by aliens. When Ramona awakens, she manages to escape her alien captors and get in an escape pod, landing on yet another alien planet. That's all I want to tell you because the rest of it is so funny as it occurs that it feels like you're running through the book as events and information come at you. We've got kisses, talking lions, an intern, two hot aliens that think she's their mate, human things as interpreted by alien anthropologists with no funding, and a happily ever after.

Why is it not a 5* read? I felt like some of Dory's development disappeared at the end, or that her feelings about having her life upended and redirected on an alien planet kind of vanished without much resolution. She was going to get her PhD! Now what? I wanted something more there.

100% worth reading, along with all of Kimberly Lemming's backlog. Do it if you haven't already. You'll get abs from all the laughing.

After gobbling up Kimberly Lemming’s Mead Mishaps series like it was my last meal, it should come as no surprise that her latest unhinged romcom did not disappoint! She has such a unique way of blending reality with fantastical elements—characters who are so relatable despite species/language barriers and environments so lushly described they feel real. This was such a fun read, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who loves the com part of rom-com and the rom part with a hefty dash of spice.

This was such a great time start to finish. I had no idea where this was going but if I trust anyone to deliver absurdity with heart, humor, and heat it's Kimberly Lemming.

Oh my goodness! I always have a great time reading anything by Kimberley Lemming but this new series might become my favorite! This was such a strong start. She is so creative and unique in her storytelling and this book was not what I expected at all but was so so enjoyable.

Hiiiiiii! Kimberly lemming?

Yes, thank you for making this hilariously, fast paced, dirty, wonderful book.

This book had me smiling from ear to ear the entire time.

Toto-you adorable lion, I love you && can we please be friends? 🦁

Lemming has a way of thrusting you into a world that is not only ridiculous in the best way, but feels so magical.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

what in the world did i just read! 😃 this gave me almost ice planet barbarian vibes if that was your cup of tea, but i’m afraid i’m dnf’ing. i really tried to be open minded about this, but an alien throuple simply isn’t for me 😭 for what it’s worth there were fairly humorous moments so i don’t plan on dissuading anyone 💫 as i did not finish it, i will leave my review here instead of publicly!

Do you like smut? Sex-positive heroines?
Possessive aliens/demons/et cetera?
Knotting??? Then you need to be paying attention to Kimberley Lemming.

This book was an absolute delight.

Dory, our heroine, is a wildlife biologist studying meerkats when she is fatally attacked by a lion. Luckily, she’s promptly healed by the aliens that abduct her at that very moment. With her new lion bestie, she escapes her captors and crash-lands on a distant planet filled with... dinosaurs? Oh, and now she’s part of a breeding program with two new horned, fire-shooting alien mates. Chaos ensues.

I love Lemming’s heroines-they’re tough as nails but still so relatable. Reluctant heroes who step up but also just really want snacks, naps, and amazing oral sex. (Don’t we all?)

Dory is no exception. She’s resourceful, hilarious, and absolutely not here for anyone’s nonsense, even when faced with intergalactic mayhem and unexpectedly steamy alien courtship.

This book is pure, joyful chaos in the best possible way. The worldbuilding is just ridiculous enough to be fun without ever feeling like it’s taking itself too seriously. The chemistry? Off the charts. The humor?
Immaculate. If you love your sci-fi romance packed with action, absurdity, and wildly creative sex scenes, this is for you.

Don't go into this expecting a serious read.
This is very much a whatever goes kinda book.

It was a good time.
Monster romance usually requires a suspension of beliefs, but this pushed the boundaries even more.

I'm hoping there's more to this series. 👀👀

Bright, hilarious, and so full of love. Lemming has done it again, making every character ridiculously fun and multidimensional. This is a laugh out loud, gasp out loud, romance novel that is spicier than a chili pepper and cozier than a fireplace.

As long as you're able suspend your disbelief and surrender to the madness, then this book is a great deal of fun. The sex is hot and plentiful. The characters each have their own charm and I found myself really rooting for them. It's made me very curious about Lemming's other books.

This was so much fun! I love Kimberly Lemmings writing and I enjoyed it even more in a sci-fi setting. Dory and Toto had me cracking up. I could not put this book down. Lovers of The Mead Mishaps series are going to LOVE this.

This book was a banana pants crazy ride and I loved every minute of it. All the characters were well written, even the ones that annoyed you (coughs in Intern). The chemistry between Dory, Sol, and Lok was believable without being too much and it was wonderful to see how they all began to care for one another through the course of their adventure. And the spicy scenes most definitely delivered on that starting from the very first one which had me needing a glass of ice cold water. But as with Lemming's other novels, at its core it's a sweet and wonderful story about people falling in love, even when they were fighting against it.

I can't wait for the next one.

From my Instagram

I listened to an ALC of I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming from the @PRHAudio Influencer Program. The book comes out on Tuesday 2/18! The paperback copy was sent to me free from the @BerkleyRomance Influencer Program. Grateful to be part of both! Thank you!

The audiobook is narrated by Hazel Addison. She also narrates the Mead Mishaps series as well. Solid audiobook, would recommend it if you’re an audiobook listener but I’m sure the book is fun and enjoyable in whatever format you prefer.

This was a great time. It’s been too long since I’ve read a paranormal romance that was a little bonkers, I need to get back in that life. Dory (short for Dorothy) is a wildlife biologist who gets attacked by a lion, thinks she’s saved but really is getting abducted by aliens, then escapes in a pod from the aliens with the lion and crashes on an alien planet with dinosaurs. Lions, aliens, and dinosaurs, oh my!

There are two alien suitors 👀, tamagotchis, a pink T-Rex, a giant toad, some real spicy spice, and lots of silly fun chaos.

If this kind of book is your jam, I’d definitely give it a shot, I had a good time!

This was so fun! 4 ⭐️

Unlike her first series where the characters all hail from the same world, in this series Dory is trust into the new planet that was set to model Earth but was totally backwards. Imagine this, one minute you're chilling out in the wild monitoring meerkats, the next minute a lion attacks you, and the minute after that you're on an alien spaceship. That's what happened to Dory. She was such a baddie, she fought her captures and crash landed on the planet they were taking her to only to find it ass backwards. I'm talking polar bears in the desert type backwards. Oh and live DINOSAURS!

I found this world so interesting as did Dory. Sis was curiously freaking out, like the scientist she is. Dory's initial mission is to find a new pod and escape back to her with her research but she falls in love with two aliens on the way. Yes there's alien coitus! 🤭

I loved the Intern. I imagined him as one of the Penguins from Madagascar lol. Also Blair is my girl! I hope she gets a book.

Thank you NetGalley, Berkeley, and Kimberly Lemming for eARC in exchange for review.

Thanks to @berkleypub and @berkleyromance for the free ARC/e-ARC and to @prhaudio for the ALC!

This was my first foray into alien romance and I wasn’t sure what to expect! But I absolutely loved it. The story is zany and doesn’t take itself seriously. Within the first few chapters there’s a talking lion, stegosauruses with wool, and an alien with hooves. And it just gets more wild from there!

I loved Dory, the FMC. She had the right balance of tenacity and anxiety that you’d expect from someone who was abducted by aliens and dropped into a dinosaur inhabited jungle. And Sol and Lok, the two MMC were rich in personality. Different but both perfect for Dory. The spicy scenes (of which there were many!) were hot 🥵!! It’s the first why choose I’ve read where the FMC was treated with respect. She demanded to be an equal and they treated her as such.

The setting was so imaginative. I loved all the random things the author included. The AI generated billboards had me laughing out loud. And the plot, while very out there, made sense. I loved the ending.

I really enjoyed the audiobook. I thought the narrator really brought all the characters to life. Her pacing was excellent, and she really infused the voices with emotion.

Overall this is an excellent addition to both the monster romance and the why choose genres. Pick it up if you want something fun and spicy!

Hilarious, ridiculous, adventurous, fast-paced, and absolutely FILTHY (complimentary), I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com is such a joy. Kimberly Lemming is brilliant at crafting absurdist romances that, no matter how outlandish, you can't help but find yourself emotionally invested in them. I hope we get Blair's book next!

Kimberly Lemming is absolutely incredible at crafting lightheaded romcoms that always have a deeper message about the power structures in society. On the surface, this was a hilarious romcom about an abducted woman who finds herself mate-bonded to two rivaling aliens. She's got a talking lion friend, a pink dinosaur sniffing around, an owl-like alien intern obsessed with understanding humanity, and a planet so poorly crafted to suit her needs. At its core, though, it's a story about corporate greed, caring for the environment, and—of course—the power of love.

Well this was a hoot! This was my first Kimberly Lemming book and I can see why people love them! This was just a fun, spicy time. It's really not much plot and all vibes, with some low stakes excitement, a talking lion, two alien lovers, and a pink t-rex. You really can't go wrong with that combination.

The FMC Dory is a fun main character. I loved her academic brain and how she wanted to catalog everything. Her fascination with the new world and how everything co-existed added a bit more depth to her character and made my science brain happy too. Sol and Lok were great MMCs as well (although I do wish we had their POV because I just KNOW it would be good). They were distinct in their personalities and added some fun tension with each other and with Dory. Add in Toto, the talking lion, and you have a dream team there. Toto added in so much comedy and was such a delight.

I definitely recommend for fans of hers or if you’re curious what the hype is about. It was a super easy and fast book! Also the aliens have tails with suction on the end 👀

I also listened to it in audio and really enjoyed the audio! The narrator did a great job really embracing the FMC and her characteristics. It is a shorter audio (just over 9 hours) and was so easy to put on and listen while doing chores and on transit (just make sure you can keep a straight face).

Thank you Berkley and PRH Audio for the copies of the books!
