Ive always been a fan of this series. Even now years later ill go back and re-read this just as a comfort food. If ever want to get into a long series that connects family def do it. Taken With You, is the eight book in the series and it centers on Hailey G. Hailey has become the always a bridesmaid never a bride friend, reaching 40 she goes on an adventure that of course leads her to trouble. During the trouble Hailey meets Matt and from there they both enter into their own adventures. Im always a fan of a story i feel is a true flow of emotions and challenges that relationships bring.

Don't let the fact that this is book 8 in this series deter you from reading (or listening) to it. I jumped in right here and was just fine ;) Would I have known some of the side characters? Sure, but they weren't the main focus here. Matt and Hailey were. I loved that they were a middle aged couple (he's 35 and she's around 40). For me, Hailey took some warming up to because she came across as a bit shallow and snobby. I did like how she changed during the story. The ending was FABULOUS!

A word on the audio...that was great! Lauren Fortgang did an impressive job with the different voices.

I love Shannon Stacey's writing. She spins a great love story that will keep you reading until the very last page. Although I have been reading less of the romance genre I have to say I will not stop reading Shannon
