This is the cutest recipe book I've ever seen! My siblings and I are huge anime fans, so we were thrilled to discover this book of treats inspired by some of our favorite anime shows. We were excited to see all the different recipes featured, and we can't wait to try them out and bring a taste of our beloved anime world into our kitchen!

I always love seeing the food in anime, so I was excited to have a look at this cookbook. It's very cute, colourful and nicely laid out. I was disappointed that there are illustrations of the dishes, rather than photos. I loved the illustrations, but I would have liked to see real life images of how the food should look.
Each recipe tells you which anime the food can be found in, and a little background of the dish in that anime.
Instructions and methods are comprehensive and easy to follow. Timings are clearly stated, which is always nice. Some of the recipes require ingredients or equipment it might be tricky to get hold of depending on where you live - I'd certainly have to go online and order some of the ingredients.
Some recipes are as simple as honey milk (which fans may recognise from Ponyo), others are more complex. I feel like most would make fun projects for weekends or when you have a bit more time on your hands.
There's a good mix of desserts, drinks and savoury treats. In particular, I was drawn to the coffee float, potato mochi, and strawberry brick toast.
This would be a lovely gift for an anime fan who enjoys cooking.
My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for sending me a digital ARC in order for me to provide my honest opinion.

This book was so cute! Not only were most of the anime in it popular enough that the average anime fan would recognize nearly all of them, but the selection of anime across different genres is broad and includes slice-of-life, romance, isekai, and action, so there's a little something for everyone. The pictures included are so cute, and I'm excited to try out the different recipes. Definitely a 5 star read for any anime foodies.

This was an adorable cookbook for anime lovers. I, especially, loved the Dugtrio sandwich with creamy roasted tomato soup. I will definitely be trying that one out!
Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group - Rock Point, and Nadine Estero for the opportunity to read an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest opinion/review.

I’ve never felt hungrier reading through a cookbook! The different recipes and ideas are reasonable and doable at home, and designed to recreate the beautiful and delicious looking meals from your favourite anime. I love that each meal has the show, season, and episode noted down so you can refer back to where you’ve seen the recipe. The artwork is also in the art style of an anime which is a really nice touch! Can’t wait to actually have a physical copy of this so I can work through the recipes to make at home. A must buy for any anime fan.

How many times have I thought Usagi's snacks looked delicious in Sailor Moon, or Naruto's ramen, or literally any meal featured in Fruits Basket? It's enough to make me want to travel overseas and try them for myself. But not everyone can afford a trip like that, and now, thanks to Nadine Estero, we don't have to - we can just check out her book.
Estero has done what every anime fan has dreamed would one day be a reality. She's taken all those stunning desserts, drinks, and otherwise delicious looking meals every anime fan is familiar with, and created a cookbook so every fan can recreate them on our own turf. The illustrations are divine, the quotes are fun, the layout is adorable, and the instructions are clear. Each recipe is cited for the movie or the show and episode in which it is featured, and the notes are very helpful.

Beautiful art work, great recipes! The recipes say which anime the food is from and they all look delicious! I was wishing there were photos of the irl dishes made so I knew what to aim for but that's my only little nitpick. Definitely pick it up if you want to make anime dishes!
Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and their publishers for this free book in exchange for an honest opinion!

I loved seeing all the food, desserts and drinks I have been wanting to try from my favourite animes!
The design of the book both efficient and beautiful. I love that any special tools that may be needed are mentioned at the beginning, so you don't have to read through the whole recipe to see if you need a special pan.
I also really appreciated that prep, marinate, cook and cool times were given separately where applicable.
The instructions were also written in a way that would enable you to use your time efficiently, especially for recipes that required doing multiple things at the same time.
I could not stop myself from drooling while looking at the recipes. Will definitely be adding this to my cookbook collection and trying some recipes soon!

I love the range of complexity in the dishes. I am just learning how to cook and have just started to tackle longer recipes. Recipes like the three-layer latte and potato mochi are perfect for home chefs like me. Every anime cookery's dream is the references, quotes, and short blurbs. I wish that the instructions gave a difficulty rating!

What a cute cookbook! I really enjoyed the variety of snack and drink recipes from a number of different anime. The pictures for the recipes are illustrations rather than photographs, which is unusual but fits perfectly with the anime theme, and the illustrations are adorable and drool-worthy. A perfect cookbook for anime-lovers!

I have to wipe the drool from my chin before I write this review…
This book is YUMMY! Yummy illustrations, yummy backstory, and YUMMY recipes inspired by your favorite anime foods & beverages that always left your mouth watering and wishing for a taste!
Now, with a little preparation, the right ingredients, and the help of this magically whimsical Anime Café recipe book, you can actually bring those flavors and dreams to life within your own home.
This is a book you can eat with your eyes, that brings joy just from reading alone—I absolutely cannot wait to plan and shop for my first recipe. I am going to make the Brown Sugar Milk Tea from My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu and the Naruto Onigiri, as I have been on an onigiri kick this summer! (The boba tea was an obvious yes. It’s boba.)
Such a fun and beautiful book, sure to make your mouth water before you even set foot in the kitchen to make your first recipe. As a Cooking Mama fan, this also fills a nostalgic anime-food-shaped spot in my heart.

This cookbook is super cute and perfect for anime lovers! The author picked out dishes featured in various anime and created recipes for them! I love that each recipe has a blurb describing how the foo was featured in each show, as well as the episode number. Each has a cute drawing of the food to accompany it.
My favorite section was the "Cute Cafe" that featured various foods shaped like animals or characters from the show. The recipes also vary in difficulty from super easy (bunny apples) to difficult/labor intensive(anya and bond dumplings), so there's something for all skill levels.
There was only one thing I think could make it better, though. I'd like to see real photos of the food. I love the drawings, but I'd like to see how the recipe turns out IRL.

The Anime Café includes 50 food and drink recipes themed around anime. The cookbook is divided into Classic Café, Comfort Café, Cute Café, Modern Café, Outdoor Café, and Bar Café.
Each recipe includes the anime and episode the dish is based on, an introduction,
ingredients, numbered directions, cook and prep times, and an illustrated photo. I appreciate that every recipe has an illustrated photo as it gives you an idea of what the dish looks like. Some of the recipes seem complex and suited for those who have the time and are comfortable cooking, whereas other recipes would be perfect for novice home chefs. Some of the recipes I would love to try are the Strawberry Banana Crepes, Agedashi Tofu, Tri-Colored Dango, and Fizzy Hibiscus Lemonade. The Anime Café is a fun cookbook, and I would recommend it.

Really enjoyed the colorful illustrations and the recipes with exact references to what anime! The structure and design made everything look concise and clean. I also loved the inclusion of the quotes!
Thank you NetGalley for the E-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

My teens are going to LOVE this book!! The recipes seem pretty doable and exciting for teens which is the main thing I look for when buying cookbooks for teens/children. I can't wait to make some of these recipes for myself, I mean mochi donuts?! YUM! I also think that I could work some of these recipes into a library program and have a boba party :)
The fact that each recipe has a picture of the result, but in an anime style is such a cute touch!

Awesome recipes! cute graphic design and page layout!! Great Idea for a cookbook, bringing favorite anime dishes to life.

This is a great sequel cookbook to the anime chef cookbook. Easy to follow and delicious recipes that you can often quickly make even if you’re a beginner to baking or cooking. The illustrations are also lovely. Highly recommend.

My kids and I LOVED this book!! The recipes are simple enough that you don’t need 100 different specialty ingredients but still authentic to the recipe. I love the pictures and that they added the specific anime season/episode they are from. So much fun for anime lovers!

A really cute cookbook that pulls from a variety of anime sources to give a range of recipes. I appreciated how the book also included drink recipes and cannot wait to try and replicate some

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is a fun new way to cook! The recipes are easy to follow and the pictures are great!
