This was a cozy short read, perfect for summer or cold weather. I love that it has a touch of every anime dish (from popular to underrated) and classic dishes to complex ones such as: timeless or decorated drinks, cheesecakes, cream puffs, pancakes, parfaits and even some coffee recipes! I was delighted to find even some Japanese cusine dishes such as: mochi, fried rice, dumplings, dangos and even MOCHI DONUTS, hello?!
On my way to find some of the ingredients online and try those recipes myself! Summer just got cooler and better with the seltzers and cocktails recipes that I just found haha.
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book from Netgalley.
This is everything! The book and the recipes are great and the design is really cute. I wished for some real life pictures and not just drawings since I would be able to compare my food with theirs and have a reference how it should look like. But overall it seems like the recipes are easy to follow and very delicious.
Such a fun book!
The illustrations are elite, they are so cute and I love that there was a variety of anime that the food was inspired by. All the recipes are pretty straightforward so this is perfect for an anime enthusiast at any culinary level. The only criticism I have for this cookbook is that I wish there were a few more vegan/veggie options and I wish there was more of a savoury variety. Understandably, a lot of the recipes were on the sweeter side so it would just be nice to see a few more main meal savoury ones too!
I really enjoyed this anime cookbook! The recipes are super cute, and I feel like any fan would be excited to have this. I don't watch a lot of anime, so I didn't know a lot of the shows that the dishes were based off of, but it was still adorable. I definitely want to try a few of the recipes!
Thanks to NetGalley, Nadine Estero, and Quarto Publishing for the chance to read and review! My opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this cookbook! As someone new to anime, I recognized a few dishes, but many were delightful discoveries that have sparked my interest in exploring new shows. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow, complete with helpful hints. I particularly enjoyed the super cute artwork and the background stories and inspirations behind each dish—they added an extra layer of enjoyment. I can’t wait to whip up some tasty and adorable anime-inspired food!
I absolutely love this! I am so excited to cook some of my favorite anime dishes. I felt the instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Lots of helpful hints and the explanation of where the dish came from/inspired by was great! I hope I can make some tastey, cute food.
Oh my goodness!!! How absolutely adorable. It is giving!!! The asthetics. Oh Lord! I love everything about it. What a fabulous idea!!
This cookbook is pretty cool, it sports a lot of foods we see in anime and tells us how to cook them. What I really love about this book is that it tells us a story or what anime[s] it came from. Super cute and fun cookbook, and all the food just looks super good.

The style of this cookbooks is adorable. My anime knowledge is limited to Ghibli films, so I was pretty excited to see how much foods were included.

It's both adorable and useful and would be the perfect gift for the anime lover, especially one that is ripe for exploring different aspects of anime. The illustrations are cute and beautiful. As a librarian, I was impressed with how robust the index was; this would make it easy to use for anyone interested in Japanese cooking, i.e. not just anime fans.

O M G, look at how adorable this anime style recipe cook book is . I always see them in the book selection of walmart and Target and always look at them, but never buy them. I will definitely have to go back and see which one they have again, because this book has CHANGED my way of thinking | cooking delicious food. I love how this book is an anime theme, and every recipe tells which anime it is base off of. Highly recommend.
.
Side Note: some of my favorite recipes, Celestial Strawberry Float from Sailor Moon R, Honey Milk from Ponyo, Rainbow Jelly (kids would love) from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Bunny Apples from Chainsaw Man .. basically the entire book.

Thank you, Netgalley, and Quarto Publishing Group for the (eArc)-eBook for my honest review.
Visually stunning and laid out in an extremely user friendly manner, The Anime Cafe is the perfect addition to any library's cookbook collection! Especially appealing for libraries that serve a community that appreciates anime or that is looking to engage with young and new adult members of the community, this cookbook would pair well with an established anime club or as part of a "watch and cook" program.
Not only does this cookbook reference dozens of popular anime, providing details about the anime as well as the reasoning behind the chosen recipe, the names of each dish will amuse and delight any fan. Although a difficulty rating would have been a helpful inclusion, along with possible substitutions for chefs with food allergies or restrictions, the recipes are still well written, the ingredients generally available, and the steps clearly explained. Even if the final product does not match the beautiful illustration, the bubbly color scheme will keep spirits high! Thank you to NetGalley for access to this delightful arc.
The cutest recipe book I've ever seen! My husband and I love anime so we will be making many of these treats, we loved looking through it and seeing all the different recipes from our favourite animes.
This is the cutest recipe book I have ever read. The layout is immaculate. The artwork is stunning, the instructions are so easy to follow. This is a top tier fun nerdy cookbook that would look just as good on your coffee table closed as it does open on your counter making the food. And where do you even begin. I want to make everything. How this book was created makes everything look and sound so appetizing. I just cannot stop gushing about this book. I have to get a copy for my niece, she will love this.
This book was provided by NetGalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.
The first word that comes to mind is AH-MAZINGGGG!
ALL THOSE COZY & WARM RECIPES WITH VISUALS IN ONE PLACE!?
YES PLEASE! ❤️
This was such a cute book! I've always been a fan of Ghibli movies - and specifically foods and drinks in them - so these illustrations are a real treat! A lot of the recipes seem perfect for summer, lots of drinks and yummy sweets, so I'll be trying a few in the next months. First one on my list would definitely be coffee jelly and the Strawberry brick toast!
This is a book I'd like to have on my shelf though, a physical copy, because it would be such a comfort to flip through it and get ideas for some treats for your friends..
