Shalamar had a song called "Second Time Around" and I'm glad that Angela let Kinston love her and enjoy her happiness. Although there were times when I was yelling at her because mam, that man to do with what you went thru before.

A little drama, a little romance , a little secret or two, and you have a full story. I recommend this book if you like a romance story that gives you all of those things . Also Angela got on my nerves with all that back and forth.

**Book Review: *Love on the Rebound* by Aries Skye**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 Stars)
*Love on the Rebound* by Aries Skye is a heartfelt and empowering romance that beautifully explores self-acceptance, healing, and second chances at love. The story follows Angela Richards, a curvy paralegal recovering from a painful breakup, and Kinston Jordan, a charming fitness instructor with his own emotional baggage. When their paths cross, an unexpected romance begins to blossom—one that challenges Angela to embrace her worth and Kinston to open his heart again.
What makes this book stand out is the refreshing representation of a strong, confident plus-sized heroine. Angela is relatable, dealing with insecurities but also finding her own strength throughout the story. Kinston is a well-developed love interest who sees beyond superficial beauty, making their romance feel genuine and uplifting. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their journey toward love is both inspiring and emotionally engaging.
Aries Skye does a fantastic job blending humor, passion, and heartfelt moments, making the book an easy and enjoyable read. The dialogue is witty, and the pacing keeps you hooked from start to finish. However, some plot points feel a bit predictable, and a few side characters could have been explored more deeply.
Overall, *Love on the Rebound* is a feel-good romance with a powerful message about self-love and embracing new beginnings. If you enjoy contemporary romances with strong character growth, chemistry-filled relationships, and an uplifting story, this book is definitely worth reading!

I enjoyed the first book in the series and I knew I would love this book as well. The storyline was very good and the characters were very entertaining.

Love on the Rebound—I couldn’t put it down! Angela and Kinston’s journey from hesitation to love gave me all the friends-to-lovers vibes, with a dash of drama to keep things interesting. Watching Angela heal, trust herself, and finally let love in was so satisfying, and Kinston? Top-tier book boyfriend for sure.

After a devastating breakup, Angela has sworn off love. Kinston is determined to knock down her walls and be all that she needs.
I enjoyed this book. But there was too much back and forth between the MCs.
She was so hesitant to let him love her.

I really enjoyed this book. It is full of laughter, hurt, romance and family. The characters are relatable (you know them, they’re your people 😉) and it’s beautiful Black love at its peak! There’s forgiveness and second chances. Angela and Kinston are meant to be no matter what and that love is…..like WHOA!! Get this one when it comes out later this year!

This is my first time reading a book by Aries Skye and I must say that I enjoyed reading about Angela and Kingston. I didn’t read the first book in this series “Love On The Nineth Floor.” Angela is a full-figured paralegal with self esteem issues and to top it off her fiancé left her for another woman. Kingston is a sexy handsome fitness instructor. Kingston and Angela know each other. Kingston’s brother Kannon and Angela’s sister Nissa are soon to be married. Kingston has his eyes on Angela. Angela and Kingston have both been hurt in the pass and are afraid to open up their hearts again to romance. These two are great together, I love their chemistry and attraction to each other and how they finally opened up their hearts to each other.
I received an ARC via NetGalley and Black Odyssey Media and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

I really enjoyed this cute romance. The chemistry between Angela and Kingston drew me in from the first book of this series and kept me hooked throughout. The story of the two was well written and had components of love, intimacy, comedy, and it was oh so spicy. Another great read from this author.

After reading the first book in this series, i knew this author would be an autobuy, and she has cemented that title with this book. This was such an enjoyable read, full of love and surprises. I am really loving this series. The writing is top notch, and the characters are great with their banter and will have you all in your feelings. I'm especially loving the fact that the series involves three sister and three brothers. I'm loving the black love representation with each book, as well as the separate families and how each one is there for the other. I am so excited and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Overall: 4.5
Spice: 3
This is the second book "Love On" series by Aries Skye. He is the brother from Kannon Jordan in the Love on the Ninth Floor. The relationship between Kinston Jordan and Angela are fighting the feeling for each other because they are both afraid of having their hearts broken again. Go on this amazing journey as the learn to love again. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

3.75 ⭐️ 2.5🌶️
I can say this one was better than the first book of the series. Kinston was down bad for Angela even in book one and I loved their energy.
But one thing that irritates me to no end is when the FMC has been hurt by the most trash man on earth and this great man comes along and treats you like the world revolves around you and your first thought is “Hmm. He’s a good man but Mr. Trash hurt me and I just have to sit in that hurt.”
At that point I want someone to put me in the book to shake some sense into the characters.
Kinston was everything. But the third act twist? I was not a fan. Angela had to share her time and I know she didn’t mind…but I did.

Thanks to NetGalley and Black Odyssey Media for this great read. I enjoyed this book. I read it quite slow because it had good characters and a good story. This was easy to read and I kept going back to it but I didn’t want it to finish.

There’s something about a book that stresses you out but you refuse to put it down because you are so locked in to the story. That is exactly how I felt reading this one. This gave me real friends to lovers and I truly appreciate that. It also shows the importance of healing and more importantly learning to trust yourself enough to fall in love again. Kinston is top tier book boyfriend material, even with his lil secret coming to light. I just wanted Angela to let herself be happy and I’m glad that ultimately that’s what she did. This book forced me to have a little patience and I have to say it was absolutely worth it. I’m looking forward to Aquila’s book next!!!

I enjoyed reading this book so much! I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. I couldn't put my kindle down until I finished reading it. Such an amazing book that I enjoyed!

Did I go into this book hoping it was better than the first one? Yes, yes I did! Was it better than the first one? Yes, yes it was!! I am so glad they did not stress me out as much as Kannon and Nissi, but Kingston and Angela did have their moments. Around 70% it got real messy and I was here for it, even though it wasn’t expected at all. Now I’m ready for Aquila book because her husband needs to be gone like yesterday!

I love the Angela and Kinston story.
They both dealt with heartbreaks and trauma.
It’s hard to start a new relationship when you’re still hung up on the last relationship. Until you fully get over the ex, you cant let a good man show you the proper love. That was exactly Angela issue. She needed to let go in order to let a good man love her.
It was so many up and downs throughout the book but it what it made feel so real. I didn’t know what to expect, I was just enjoying the storyline.
I enjoyed the movies and songs references throughout the book. That was fun. Love the sister banter and relationship they have together. Real sisterhood!
Thank you NetGalley and Black Odyssey for the arc in exchange of my honest opinion.

"Love on the Rebound" is a heavy romance that will make you feel every emotion, from happiness to sadness and everything in between. Angela is a full-figured woman who is struggling with insecurities, especially after being with her ex. Kinston is a fitness guru and also the perfect guy in every sense. He wants Angela, but Angela believes herself to be undesirable, especially to a man like Kinston. She is severely traumatized and scarred, but Kinston takes his time with her, which I loved so much! He is patient, understanding, and gentle. (Literally the perfect book boyfriend!) Angela's growth is undeniable, and it made me so happy to see her development. I loved Angela and Kinston together & was rooting for them the whole way through. This book definitely warmed my heart (not to mention it had the spice we all love in a romance), and I'd love to see more from this author!
Thank you NetGalley, Black Odyssey, and Aries Skye for this ARC.

This book follows the love story of Angela and Kinston who we met in Love on the Ninth Floor, the first book by this author. In this book Angela is getting over a bad breakup with her ex-fiancé when she runs into him again, and due to a poor decision on her part she gets her heart broken all over again causing her to vow never to get into a relationship again.
Kinston met Angela briefly in the first book and ever since then he has been trying to get her to give him a chance for at least a date. A chance encounter finds her giving into his request and from that date on they form a connection. Throughout the book it was clear that they both had feelings for each other but she didn't want to act on hers due to her fear of being hurt and not being able to recover. She also has self-esteem issues thanks to her ex so she doesn't feel worthy to be the woman that deserves Kinston's attention and affection no matter how hard he tries to tell her otherwise. Eventually, she does agree to be his girlfriend and everything is going well for them as a couple. It was so nice to see them together and happy but then some unnecessary drama came out of left field and threatened to break them up for good.
This book was filled with ups and downs for Angela and Kinston and of course I was rooting for them through it all because it was obvious they should be together. I didn't know how it was going to wind up at the end but I was happy we got a HEA and I thought it was nice to see that Nissi played a part in at least causing Angela to talk to him Kinston again to hear him out, similar to how Angela played a part in Nissi and Kannon getting together in the first book. I also enjoyed seeing more of Nissi and Kannon as a married couple in this book and get to catch up with them.
Overall I enjoyed the book but I could have done without the unnecessary drama. Now that I know this is a trilogy I am curious to see what Aquila's story winds up being in the next book and of course seeing more of the Richards sisters and Jordan brothers. Thank you to Black Odyssey Media and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Love on the Rebound by Aries Skye was a great read. This book made me laugh and cry and it made me angry at times too. We meet both characters originally in the first book of the series, but Angela and Kinston's story needed its own book. They are real people, they felt like people I might know in real life with hopes, and fears and worries. The inner monologue got a little tedious reading through it, but if anyone ever wrote my inner monologue I am sure it would be the same way for readers. That is one reason it felt so honest. I won't give spoilers but it was a good book to read, highly recommend this and the first book in the series.
