Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.

I think the appreciation for this book would really depend on the teacher. I thought it was cute, but I could already see my coworkers eye twitching. The illustrations are cute no matter what you opinion of the literary content is.

This book is a cute idea to say thank you to a teacher. Perhaps as a gift from the entire class? I can’t say it would have much use other than a one time read as it sort of reads like a thank you card rather than something that could be added to a class library.

Thank you to NetGalley and sourcebook kids for allowing me to review this book.

I think that this is a really sweet book for kids to show their appreciation for their teachers, who are so, so important. However, there is one note that I believe is good to include in this review. I definitely agree with the author that teachers should be thanked for their work. Although, the author should also be careful of the student-teacher relationship line. There are some pages that felt like they went over that line, or toed it a little too much. For example, page 25. Teachers and students should really only have interactions related to or at school, and they should not "always stay in touch". Besides a few questionable pages, this book was clever and fun! Including at least one pun on each page was a smart idea made by the author, as it makes this book engaging for young readers, and it might even inspire them to become master pun-makers themselves. Lastly, I loved how cute all of the illustrations were, and they really helped to deliver the joyful and sweet tone of the whole book.

This would be such a sweet teachers gift from a student, and encourages teacher appreciation with sweet little illustrated treats! Adorable!

Thanks a Latte for Being My Teacher! reads as a long form greeting card that may work best as a class gift, rather an an individual gift. The prose are very simple and sweet and go along with matching illustrations.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Kids and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
