Another great book in the series although I should have read them in order! A fast moving and very absorbing read - lots of characters and relationships so had concentrate. Really enjoy these Lottie Parker books and this was no exception would recommend

I can’t believe we are up to book 14 in this fabulous series and it was so good to be back with Lottie Parker and the team once more. This was quite a complex mystery with more than the usual twists and turns and certainly kept me on my toes as I grappled with trying hard to guess what exactly was going on. The writing as you would expect was brilliant, the plot very clever and the continuing back story of Lottie and Boyd is always a bonus to read. It took me a while to finish the book and I was sad when I did this series has always been one of my favourites and I’m pleased to say it’s never got stale so long may it continue and many thanks to Patricia Gibney for another brilliant instalment.
My thanks also to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Her Last Walk Home (Detective Lottie Parker Book 14) is an addictive crime and mystery thriller with intense and suspenseful scenes.

Her Last Walk Home is so good. The story is page-turning. It's a good crime and mystery thriller with "wow" revelations of the culprit and how it all tied together at the end.

In the prologue, a girl is picked up by a woman on the road, and something happens to the girl. Then, 1 year later, the story starts and doesn't let up. It's a page-turning read with good red herrings and solid storytelling.

The Boyd character drove me a bit crazy in this installment in his attitude about buying a house, but Lottie loves him!

I did scream out loud at one point as one character left her coat and phone behind at a bar to escape a bad date. While necessary for the story, there is no way I would leave without at least the phone!!

I really enjoy reading these books and getting invested in these characters. It's like catching up with old friends. The writing is solid, the mystery intriguing, and the pacing is heart-pounding. I would recommend this book, this series, and this author.

Another great read in the series. Love Lottie & Boyd they are complete opposites but they just belong together as they bring out the best in each other. Good to see our team back as well. Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for the copy. This is my honest voluntary review.

Book number 14 for DI Lottie Parker and her team

When a young woman’s body turns up, followed by a murdered young man, the body another young woman who has obviously been incarcerated and starved, then a missing woman, you begin to think that Lottie needs a bigger team!

A strong start that was fast paced, an exciting. This author knows how to ramp up the tension!

After a rollercoaster of a beginning I felt the book did taper off a bit in the middle, and there was a lot of angst and backbiting, both in Lottie’s family and amongst her team, with a distinct lack of esprit de corps amongst some officers. Not noticed it so much before. Also, when is Lottie going to get her life sorted? Book 14 and she’s no nearer getting her act together as she was in Book 1. Either get serious with Boyd or don’t, stop wavering. As an aside, what does she do with her not inconsiderable DI salary? Yes, I know there’s the family, but even so!!

A good book with a great start that lost the plot somewhere in the middle, and a very confused ending, and whilst I have loved all the previous stories this one is not my favourite Lottie outing. Nevertheless I will still look forward to the next book.

3.5*

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture

Her Last Walk Home is No 14 in the excellent Detective Lottie Parker series. Although I thoroughly enjoy this series I was not as enamored of this book. Everyone seemed to be at each others throat. Lottie seemed to be more awkward for awkward's sake than usual and initially when I thought Katie was going to be one of the victims I thought 'oh no, please don't go there. It's so clichéd'. The story of the murders seems to meander around the characters like a second thought only to come to a rushed very confusing conclusion in the final few pages. Not my favourite Lottie Parker by a long chalk I'm afraid.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy. All opinions are my own.

Detective Lottie Parker Book 14
I do love this series, and I believe you really need to read all the books in the Lottie Parker series.
An interesting storyline, my only negative for this book would be that Lottie needs to sort out her life once and for all! The constant limbo with her relationship with Boyd and her family worries made the middle of the book sag a little, but it pipes back up for a good ending to this investigation.
A solid 4 stars for another novel by the addictive Gibney.

3.5 stars, rounded down
Her Last Walk Home is the 14th in the Lottie Parker series and while it started strong, it didn’t work as well for me as prior books.
This time, the body of a young woman is found in an open lot. She’s been strangled and knifed. Before long, another woman goes missing.
As with all these books, the story is told in an omniscient style with the reader given multiple POVs. Not just Lottie, her crew and family, but also the witnesses, victims and culprits. It’s a complicated, fast paced story with short punch chapters. It’s also a dark, brooding story and a scary reminder about the dangers facing young women. As mentioned, I thought this started strongly. But as the story goes on, it relies on some leaps of faith for the team to figure out who was behind the crimes. And the ending was just a bit too convoluted for my taste. I felt like Gibney was twisting the story in knots to get to that ending. I enjoy this series for the mix of the different team members. But it did seem like everyone was in an ugly mood for most of the story and I missed the camaraderie of old.
Gibney provides a perfect mix of Lottie’s personal to professional life. And the mystery about how her personal life is going to play out is as engrossing as the murders she’s investigating.
I wouldn’t recommend reading this as a stand-alone, even just one or two of the more recent books will help to suss out the team’s relationships.
My thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for my copy of Her Last Walk Home by Patricia Gibney.
I have read and enjoyed this series since it began but for me, it is starting to stall.
The book is more about Lottie and Boyd and the rest of the team than it is about the crimes and to be honest, it dragged me down. I wanted to shake Lottie and tell her to sort her life out once and for all.

I absolutely love Patricia Gibney and the Lottie Parker series. Having read all 14 books in the series this one did not disappoint and kept me turning pages and reading on.
For once did not have a clue who the murderer was or just how twisted they’d end up being.
Totally recommend this book to all fans of murder and police procedural books.
Thank you for my advanced copy to read, thoroughly enjoyed.

Wow! Loved it! Gripped from the start, as always with this series. I did need to concentrate to keep up with all the connections and characters, but that was fine! As always with this series, this one is highly recommended

I have read all the Lottie Parker series and this one did not disappoint. So many twists and turns that have you wondering all the way through. Great characterisation and very well written. Did not guess the perpetrator which is definite plus for me. Look forward very much to the next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

This is book is #14 in the Detective Lottie Parker series but can easily be read as a standalone. I’ve read the whole series and highly recommend it.

A young woman’s body is found lying on a grassy area first thing in the morning and she is identified as Laura Nolan, who never made it home from a night out. Her mum, Diana, reveals that Laura was out on a date but she doesn’t know who with. Lottie and the team are busily investigating the case when another young woman, Shannon Kenny, goes missing after getting into a taxi near the same bar that Laura had been in.

Lottie then finds a connection between the two young women and the race is on for the team to catch Laura’s killer and find Shannon alive.

Another gripping episode in this series with plenty of twists and turns, and an unexpected ending. I read it in record time!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advance reader copy in return for an honest review.

Excellent book as always love Lottie Parker and her team especially Boyd. It starts with the discovery of a teenage girl who had been murdered then another body is found the investigation is getting complicated as Lottie thinks there must be a connection but where to start.

The whole series is amazing and love to see how Lottie and Boyd are getting on.

This was one of my favourite books in this series. It kept you hooked all the way through. The ending let it down though. It was all a bit confusing, too many connections to keep track of.

This latest book in the Lottie Parker series is just as good, if not better, than the other 13! The storyline is fascinating and the characters well crafted. I would thoroughly recommend.

Here we are on book fourteen in the Detective Lottie Parker series, and what an instalment it is! Having read (and thoroughly enjoyed) the whole series, it’s easy for me to see how far Lottie and her team have come, in terms of character development - I feel invested in them and their futures. Right from the start, the author creates a sense of menace, this feeling doesn’t let up and I found myself turning the pages of my Kindle at a rapid rate – I needed to know what was going to happen next. The story is told from multiple points of view, which keeps the tale flowing and in turn builds and maintains the tension. I did work out who the perpetrator was, but their reason completely astonished me.

Another great Lotti Parker book. I must say of all the detectives series I read - I can't warm with her team. Kirby and Boyd are the best and kindest.. all the other ones, really unpleasant - and this time also Lottie.. her attitude was so ANNOYING ( her discussion with Boyd about the new house and their children - OMG )

The story though, was really captivating and it kept me awake much longer than intended :) The different POVs were great and towards the end I was like " WHOOO IS IT DAMN IT ".

Overall great book.
