I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

I chose this book as a fluke. Not something I would normally pick out. I'm so glad I did. It ended up pulling me in, and I read the whole series in a weekend.

Addison hasn't been normal since she was a child. She tries to pretend she doesn't see the things around her, but now that she's in college it's getting worse. She sees things that others don't. She never speaks of it for fear of being labeled crazy.

Asher, her professor catches her attention instantly. Their love/hate relationship is funny, frustrating (mainly because of Asher), and amazing if you read the whole series. I flipped back and forth between rooting for them, and hoping she would tell him off for good. Between fighting to save the world, and fighting for each other is was an exciting book.

As Asher begins to explain the Mortal Machine, things become complicated. There is a lot going on, and some things I didn't catch until the 2nd time I read the series. They were little things, but it expanded the story.

I would definitely recommend not just this book, but the whole series. I would also suggest starting it when you have some time as you wont want to put it down!
