Emotions are powerful and impact the body in different ways. Jessica Ortner explains how negative feelings and self image contribute to obesity. She explains with the help of others why tapping can improve that image, as well as, health benefits associated with self confidence. The mind impacts physical appearance more than people realize.
As a result, the book is not meant for readers looking for meal plans or exercise routines. It won't pressure readers to track calories or their input of food and out put of exercise. Instead, the book contains meditation exercises and how to use them. Since this book is a product of Ortner's journey, there is a vulnerability, compassion, and tough love.

I believe in the tapping solution. That's why I chose to review this book in the first place. However, whilst I know that it works for all things psychic, like confidence issues or self assurance or even helping the healing process along, I'm not convinced about it really helping with weight loss. I do think this book is quite good about getting oneself in the right mindset for weightloss, but it doesn't convince me 100%, as I don't really see the two parts (the problem and the solution) as completely fitting partners.
