He is at summer camp when the gas grenade goes off. He escapes out but realizes outside that he is surrounded. Face to face with his father, also known as his trainer and handler, he must decide how hard to fight. His father is here because he has been off the grid and made everyone else nervous. An assassin went missing on a mission. Now he must go in and finish the job. He must kill the leader of a far-right camp that is indoctrinating teenagers to become terrorists.
The book has a fast pace, the characters were developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. The original book was called The Lost Mission. If you like the Bourne series or the Orphan X series, you will enjoy this book.
Not sure when the title changed but regardless this was a great middle entry in the Unknown Assassin series of novels. The plot is fast as I read this over several days. The action is non-stop and you just can't predict what's going to happen next, absolutely unpredictable. Highly recommended.
Made it to 45% and just could not take reading it anymore. I found the story itself pretty boring and it was a struggle to read from that alone...but then you add in some of my personal content issues (f-bombs, taking God's name in vain, and some sexual content) and I just couldn't stomach reading another page.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!
Definitely a nice follow-up to Boy Nobody, which I absolutely loved! This series is full of action, and I would recommend to preteen/teenage boys for sure! Allen Zadoff is a great writer!
I received an e-copy of this story for an honest review.
An intriguing idea: using teens as soldiers. Because, let’s admit it, sometimes adults don’t always pay attention to teens. But it brings a few questions to mind. Is The Program part of the Government? Does the Government acknowledge it? Is it an unofficial program, or does it have nothing to do with the Government, and is funded and operated by someone else? Then it brings a few other personal questions to the surface: How do they find these teens? Is it some sort of Big Brother operation? Who can you Truly trust? How well do you Really know someone?
I really enjoy this series. It’s absorbing and easy to fall into. Recommended for kids who love adventure, intrigue, and some personal mystery.
Boy assassin begins to question things as this book opens and he must prove his loyalty. More action. excitement, and secrets than book one although there was a section in here that I really hated and I wish it had not been added but other than that I love it even more!
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
A great action packed tense sequel to the first in the series. I find the main character intriguing and would read more about him.
I really enjoyed the first one and I don't know why I never got to this one. I must get it some time to read but it's not on my kindle so I can't read it now. Sorry I didn't get to it as I am sure it's real good!
I truly enjoy this book, it kept me reading till the end. I would certainly be reading more of this amazing author. I suggest you read it, you will certainly won’t be disappointed. I usually don't read this type of books, but I read the summary and got very interested. Thank you for the opportunity I will look forward for more from this author.
