This was an unusual plot but I really enjoyed it. The male character, despite the somewhat sinister circumstances of how the couple met, was actually a sweetheart and really caring. The dynamic between the two was spicy yet cute and funny, which really worked. The scenes with the cat were hilarious. Overall a very engaging and well-written book.

I really wanted to love this book, it fits every trope I love, but I just couldn't. Was unfortunately a DNF.
Whilst reading, it felt like the writing didn't flow very well, it felt clunky, almost robotic, I didn't feel compelled or excited by either of the main characters, I almost felt bored.
So sorry, thank you for the arc, just want for me.

Definitely a fast paced, easy romance read. I thoroughly enjoyed the triller aspect to this novel, providing something a lot different to the romances I usually read.
I did feel the couples story was a little rushed, but that definitely spoke to the thrill of their romance.
I am new to the dark romance genre, but I feel this book gave a good taste as to what I could expect from future novels.
The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, attractive and full of banter, which definitely added to my overall enjoyment of the novel.
My only wish was to have slowed down the story a little, and for some more independent character growth.
