I am usually a fan of this author's work, but no matter how many times I picked this book up, I could not get into it. It was a DNF for me with saddens me. I will continue to read the authors work, but this particular book didn't interest me.
"Those eyes... I recognize them instantly.
I might dream about them later.
I might remember them forever."
This book was a perfect end to a wonderfully written journey. The Wild Ones series was one of the first series I picked up when I started my reading journey. I fell in love with each character Michelle has magically brought to life for me. She is a mastermind or magician of words. She is a ture master of her craft and I know I say this a lot but it is the truth, each book gets better and better.
Vi and Jet, these two just blew my mind. The kind sweet heart Violet shows us and even though Jet seems one way, I felt another, I saw his true colors, if you seem them too, that is up to you!!! This was just a good hearted all around sweet amazing happy sexy book. I couldn't be more pleased with this story. Its a book that just makes you smily, cry, jump for joy and say oh... that was a hot scene.
This storyline was something I needed. Michelle seems to know exactly what I want and when I need it lol. I am not big on spoilers but I have to share a few of my favorite quotes from the book. I hope they entice you to read this book and if you haven't picked up this series you so need to. But leave Trick alone, he is MINE!!!
"He's watching me, his eyes a deeper, warm blue.
Everything around me is muted, I don't hear the music of the voices.
I don't pay attention to the people.
There is only me and Jet, and the heat that's raging between us."
The Wild Ones Series is one of the best series I have ever read, you will be blown away by the writing and fall in love with each storyline, if you haven't read an M. Leighton book yet, this series is a great start!
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
