Excellent book, loved it! Looking forward to more from this author! Apologies for the lateness of my review
Im a sucker for shoes...
I mean, correct me if I am wrong but most women get turned on by a great pair of heels. Just put them on and watch your confidence peak.
The Webs You Weave
One look at this cover and those stunning shoes and I knew Shade Owens, wanted to put this book in my hands.

MEGHAN
My husband is a cheating bastard.
If it weren't for my daughter, I'd have gotten rid of him years ago. But I don't want my sweet Hazel growing up the way I did. So I've continued putting up with Cole's indiscretions. But this time around, Cole crosses a line that he can't come back from. And I'm going to teach him a lesson he'll never forget.
COLE
I love my wife dearly, but she needs some serious help.
Ever since her traumatic brain injury, she hasn't been the same. She's constantly accusing me of cheating on her. Yes, I've made mistakes, but that's in the past, and I've apologized for those. Now, I think she might even be following me to work. She's taking things too far. I don't know how much more of this I can handle. The only problem is, I'm afraid that if I try to leave her, she'll kill me.
This book was so good. It grabbed me from the first page right until the very end. Its all about lies and betrayal. The ending was absolutely brilliant. Im so glad I have discovered this author.
I enjoyed this one and it had me flipping pages to see what would happen next. I look forward to more titles by this author.
I cannot put into words how great and fun The Webs You Weave was, but I will say that it is a MUST read! I will be purchasing for my libraries!
I love Shade Owens’ thriller novels, so I was excited to read this one. It definitely didn’t disappoint. This domestic thriller is full of suspense and delivered through short chapters, which I really appreciate. There are various POVs to keep things interesting and nonstop twists and turns that are unpredictable. Entangled in a serious game of cat and mouse, I wasn’t sure who had the advantage over who. I was entangled in the pages right along with these characters. Working hard to determine what was true and what wasn’t had me up late at night in a trance. I just had to know what was going to happen in the end. The drama in these pages was at an all time high! Another great piece of work by Shade Owens! Her suspense/thriller novels are definitely auto reads for me now.
Thank you NetGalley and Red Raven Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGalley for this advance reader copy in exchange for my free and honest review. Honestly, the way this novel started out, I wasn’t really sure about being able to finish it. It was a bit rough and hard to follow. I did trudge onward and am actually glad I did, so I could encourage others to keep going as well. This is a nail biter, once you get the lay of the land and have some an idea of what’s going on. I do recommend this novel, just hang in there and you will feel the same - glad you did!

Wow! So much drama and intrigue!
After a car accident, Meghan has struggled with her physical appearance and her memory. Her husband, Cole, is supportive on the surface, but Meghan is certain he’s having affairs. Meghan’s priority is their daughter, Hazel and she will do anything to protect her.
There are some intriguing diary entries from a mystery person and some stunning twists! Love them or loathe them, the characters in this book are very well written and the plot had me hooked!
A fabulous read!
4 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Shade Owens and Red Raven for an ARC in return for an honest review.
Oh the Webs You Weave! Perfect title! Perfect Description! I did not know what to believe. The POVs in this book kept me on my toes and I loved it. This is one that will definitely be in my top favorites!
This book truly took me by surprise, with its complex layers of uncertainty about who to trust. The story centers on Meghan and Cole as they navigate the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury that happened over a year ago, weaving through themes of fidelity, deception, and misdirection.
Initially, the pace was slow, and I wasn't sure if it would capture my full interest, but as the plot progressed, it became increasingly captivating. I particularly admired how Owens portrayed the main characters—crafting them in a way that made me support them one moment and question their motives the next. This dynamic added a rich depth to the reading experience, making "The Webs You Weave" a memorable novel.
I couldn’t put this book down! The Webs You Weave follows Meghan, Cole, and their daughter Hazel in the aftermath of a traumatic event. Meghan believes her husband is cheating on her, but her husband claims her paranoia is from her traumatic brain injury. I wasn’t sure who to believe, but I loved the way everything came to light through each twist. The author absolutely captured each character perfectly through each POV. Definitely recommend!
3.5 stars. This one will definitely keep you glued to the pages and gobbling up the short chapters with multiple points of view. The characters definitely are a bit crazy, perhaps justifiably so. There were a few twists, but I was pretty disappointed in the ending, which kind of fizzled for me. I definitely think anyone picking this up will be glad that they read it.
Omg this had me hooked!!! So I was invested in this right from the start, I've no clue how I got hooked so soon. I just did! And as a women who's all about supporting other women, I constantly hated the husband. But then there's also that doubt creeping in about what if he is right and due to the brain injury, she's an unreliable narrator?! My head was spinning, I loved every second. Absolutely amazing!
This book was such a great thriller, it kept me on the edge of my seat! It was full of twists and family drama!
This book is a solid 3.5 ⭐️
I found myself enjoying this book from the start. The twists and turns had me guessing throughout the entire story. I wasn't expecting the ending at all!
The healing in Hazel and Megs relationship was well done. The way Meg was able to prove her own innocence and her husband's infidelity was priceless and left me laughing. Talk about karma. I feel he deserved more punishment for the gaslighting, lying, cheating, and for putting his family in danger.
There were many times I felt I was re-reading the same thing over again with the back and forth in timelines that had me questioning myself along with Meg. I felt the story line with Megs mother and her past were unnecessary. It took away from the flow of the main plot.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and would recommend it. The writing styles remind me of Fredia McFadden with a little Jeneva Rose.
This was one fast fun ride.
We follow Meghan who after an accident has physical and mental disabilities. She suspects her husband is cheating, again, and has had enough. It is all just getting too much for her.
As well as Meghan we have pov's from her husband, her daughter and a mistress.
I enjoyed this so much, I kept changing my mind on who to believe and right from the start we here about Meghans accident and you just know that something big is going to happen.
If you like Frieda McFadden you'll enjoy this.
Firstly, Shade Owens why are you reading every review that comes through? What if someone is mean? Not that they would be, you are a goddess in the writing world.
I hated Cole right away and I am not sure why, except that I love hating husbands. The woman crushing on him was weird. Do other women feel that way when they see a hot man? I might look but I always think "I bet he's so dumb/too much work/messy."
But that would never make for an interesting novel. I loved this. It was so weird. I loved the different perspectives. I really loved Hazel. It is all so twisty. Can't wait for the next one.
What an absolutely fantastic read! This one had me all over the place with theories, a few that panned it in the most delightful way. The husband is a disgusting individual, how she stayed with him I will never understand. The wife is psychologically deranged (partially due to traumatic brain injury). Her mood swings were unhinged. The daughter was caught in the middle. I didn’t know what was really going on and what was a delusion. This kept me interested and engaged the entire way through!
This story follows married couple Meghan and Cole, as well as their teenage daughter, Hazel. Meghan has finally had it with Cole's affairs, She decides to take matters into her own hands and teach him a lesson. On the flip side of things, Cole thinks that Meghan hasn't been her self since her traumatic brain injury. She is constantly accusing him of cheating. Cole acknowledges that he made mistakes in the past, but he apologized. He now thinks Meghan is obsessed with finding evidence of him cheating. He's scared of how far she might go to get proof...
All the characters in this book were crazy and super interesting! I really liked the short chapters and the multiple POVs. It is super engaging and really hard to put down.
I was very excited to read Shade Owens' latest novel after loving Beneath These Walls. The Webs You Weave was also very good, but I did prefer Beneath These Walls. I found The Webs You Weave a bit predictable and drawn out at times. Still good, though! Cannot wait for Owens' next novel!
