This devotion book would be cute for adolescent girls. It addresses the real world struggles associated with teenage years - love, loneliness, beauty, self image, anxiety; In each devotional there is usually a story relating to the topic as well as some practical applications. I really enjoyed that aspect of a list of things to do or think about and it might make young girls feel a little more grounded. The reflection questions as the end of each devotion were very thorough and though provoking, encouraging a deeper connection to God and getting to know yourself a little better. There are mentions of some of the very real things teen girls may come into contact with - pornography, sexual relationships, ect. So parents use your discretion on ages of reading, but overall I would have loved to have this devotional during my teen years. A great tool to bring young girls closer to the Lord. Thank you NetGalley, Kari Kampakis, and Tommy Nelson for the opportunity to read and review this devotional!

This was good, it follows a God based self help journey. Which in itself is good! There are some points that I disagree with such as society wants girls to be control boys and manipulate their emotions to get what you want. That’s not the case, while it can be boys also are ones who manipulate. There are lots of good things in here for young girls but also some harmful things.
