A very technical, specialised and well-researched book about the health care system in the US.
As the descriptions state, it is highly evidence based and well-discussed.
I am not qualified to comment on the technicalities suggested, but as someone whose close family members are health professionals, and having loved ones in the States; having contemplated on the health systems all around the world, I care about the suggestions in this book. I even took away some tips to implement for other industries.

Lots of strategies for healing our broken healthcare system, with a focus on how nurse leaders especially can change the system. Much needed!

Wow!

As someone who started in nursing under temporary emergency license at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the burnout and moral injury that I’ve sustained during my short career is insane. I, however, do not want to leave the bedside, but most days it is so difficult to see how convoluted the American healthcare system is and hope it will ever be better. This book gives great insight into “sustainable resilience” and how, as nurses, we can foster healing environments for not only our patients, but for each other as well.
