I love a book with a cadence and this book has a beautiful cadence, a poignant message, and is fun to read. Plus the physical book has the most beautiful illustrations!

"What Can a Mess Make" by Bee Johnson is a children's picture book. This is a review of the audiobook only.

It is about all the messy things and what they can make. This is read well by Karissa Vacker and enhanced nicely with related sound effects and music.

Where this audiobook fails is that the conclusion of each mess is not clear at all! Listening to this book, I'm really lost as to what meal was made for two, what the masterpiece looked like, or anything else. A listener with impaired vision, whether a child or adult, is not likely going to get the point of this book. The audiobook needs further enhancement to adapt this for vision impaired listeners.

Thank you to Netgalley, MacMillan Audio, MacMillan Young Listeners, and Bee Johnson for providing this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Oooooh this book is lovely. I listened to the audio version (thank you, Netgalley and Macmillon Audio). Let's be honest. I listened to it twice. And I'll listen again.

The music made me start swaying back and forth right from the start, and it just made me HAPPY. The narrator's voice is sweet and playful, and she brings the rhymes to life. She paints the most beautiful pictures with her words, and you can see the mess and the joy and the creating and the doing all in your head.

I feel like parents should listen to this to calm themselves when a project has exploded somewhere, the milk has been spilt, the cushions and blankets are all on the floor. And children should listen to know they aren't just little messes waiting to happen - they are creators and doers and makers. The messes make the life.

Simply delightful.

A very cute little book about creativity, imagination, and connection. It's a good reminder for parents and kids that a mess can be a wonderful thing.

What Can a Mess Make? by Bee Johnson was an audiobook narrated by Karissa Vacker. I loved this one and it made me smile. I am sure that this would be a fantastic bedtime story or even a story to lead into a writing prompt in a classroom setting. I cannot wait to get this one for my school library and see the pictures that I am sure will be amazing and tie this whole story together.

This audiobook was made available for me to listen to and review by Bee Johnson, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley.

This audiobook is narrated by Karissa Vacker. Ms. Vacker has a soft, cheerful voice, perfect for this book. This is a high quality production with fun background music, a guitar it sounds like, as well as noises that match the narrative. This helps to enhance the narrative.

This is primarily a poem about the toys and chaos left in the wake of children's activities. Whether at meal or at play, a mess is the result of a fun day.

Thank you to Bee Johnson, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook. All opinions and viewpoints expressed in this review are my own.

What Can A Mess Make written by Bee Johnson and narrated by Karissa Vacker is a sweet story of a day in the life of a little one, and the messes that this comes with! The mess can feel overwhelming sometimes, but at the same time it makes something, like a lunch for two, a masterpiece, and something good as new.
This was a very cute story, and I loved the way the different supplies were used to make things like forts and crafts! I feel like this story puts the messes of life into perspective as well.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the author, narrator, and publisher of this book for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This was so cute! Great narration and my kids loved the background noises as well. I love a kids book that rhymes. Very cute audiobook for young kids to listen to, although I hope my kids don’t get any ideas on how to make even more messes! I can see my two kids wanting to listen to this again and again.

Special thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for sharing this with me in exchange of my honest review.
