This book was fantastically, wonderfully, confusingly perfect. I cannot describe it in any other way but this: reading The Girl Who Never Was is like picking up an apple, biting into it, and discovering that it's actually filled with your favourite ice-cream (for those who are curious, my favourite ice-cream is Gelatissimo's lime gelato. I'd take that over an apple any day!)

Weird. Intriguing. And amazing!

The Girl Who Never Was by Skylar Dorset is such a fun mix of magic, faeries, and mystery! It follows Selkie, a girl who discovers her life is full of secrets when she turns 17. She learns she's not entirely human and gets thrown into the faerie world, where nothing is as it seems. The romance between her and Ben, her best friend, is sweet but complicated by all the magical chaos. The plot is fast-paced with lots of twists, and the world-building is so unique. Perfect for fans of urban fantasy and magical adventures!

This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

A somewhat confusing but enjoyable tale with ogres, faeries, a wizard, a 'lost' Princess and a prophecy.
