This was a really great second chance romance. I loved Oliver and Charlee. The pen pal aspect was perfect and I loved reading their letters. It really helped to understand why they were both so shocked and nervous to be thrown together in the present day. It felt like you were lucky enough to watch their relationship grow twice.

I hadn’t read the other books in the series, which is usually a big no for me. I honestly can say I don’t feel as if I missed anything. I think I can pick out who the other couples are and will definitely be going back to check them out.

I would like to start off by saying , good golly does this woman know how to write. The storyline was beautiful. It had me instantly hooked, trying to piece everything together. I was obsessed with the characters. Char and Oli were are just so fun and sweet! I loved the fun way that they came together, but also just their dynamic throughout the book was really cool. I also really loved the awareness and representation of Oliver’s story. I don’t think there’s enough, so I was so happy to see it in this book. I felt like I truly understood what these characters were going through. I am so so honored that I got to read this as an ARC from Netgalley. But I definitely will be buying a paperback for my shelves. It’s a NEED.

Things I loved about Unbearably Yours. The setting. Not that her other titles are lacking for beautiful settings but we cannot argue with the lush forests of Beautiful British Columbia. The characters. You’d think that this is a “duh” moment because aren’t the main characters of every novel amazing? Yes, but Charlee and Oliver are that much more. The way that Elodie weaves their story from past to present through letters and their lives lived is a way to get to know them beyond their trains of thought and interactions in the present. The letters. I said it already, I’ll say it again. The letters!

Unbearably Yours is a cozy read, but also an emotional one. It’s the kind of book that has an autumn feel to it and is best read wrapped in a blanket with a mug of tea.

I like that the relationship between Oliver and Charlee took time to develop and that they had to communicate before getting together. That being said, them getting together only at the 80% mark meant that we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them as a couple. And that really is my only complaint. I would have liked to spend more time with Oliver and Charlee and see their happiness for a little while longer.

I love the pen pal aspect! It brings a dual timeline which shows us their connection, but also gives us a reason as to why they’re both so troubled seeing each other.
This is the embodiment of forced proximity. It goes from one bedroom to one tent and even one sleeping bag. Needless to say, I loved it.

Unbearably Yours is book 3 in the Always been You series. Each book is a standalone and can be read on its own, characters make small cameos, but not knowing their stories will not impact your reading experience. I still highly recommend reading the first two books as they are just as good.

Second chance
Forced proximity (a lot of it)
Pen pals
Small town (will make you want to visit British Columbia)
Strangers to friends to lovers
Neurodivergent MMC
Bisexual FMC

A year of heartfelt letters. A chance encounter gone awry. Five years apart for a shot at redemption.

Charlee lives her life by one single rule: don't dredge up the past. That's why she loses herself in her work as a journalist: always on the move, always heading for the next adventure. So when the Wild Planet offices in Toronto are on the brink of closure, she jumps at the chance to save the place by helping shoot a documentary in British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest. Until she realizes who she'll be working with.

For Oliver Reynolds, there's nothing like the peace and quiet of nature. That's why working for Wild Planet is a perfect fit. In the small touristic town of Pine Falls, he has everything he needs. Well, almost. If only he could buy back the family's restaurant he lost five years ago. When his boss offers him a hefty raise to guide a Wild Planet crew filming a documentary in the area, Oliver doesn't think twice. At least, not until he finds out who he'll be spending those two weeks with.

A twist of fate forces these two estranged souls to collaborate on the project and put their grudges and wounds aside for the time being. Too much is riding on the documentary's success for either Charlee or Oliver to delve into the past that led them to stop writing to each other. But will they succeed in working together and pretending the past never happened? As time goes on, neither can shake their lingering bond, but Charlee still doesn't know why Oliver never showed up for the date they set five years ago. But getting her answer means ripping open old wounds. Will she be brave enough to face her demons?

Embark on Oliver and Charlee's thrilling journey deep into the heart of the majestic Great Bear Rainforest and explore its enchanting wonders alongside them. And who knows, perhaps they'll uncover more than they bargained for.

'Unbearably Yours' is a steamy small-town romance that delves into the realms of second chances, forced proximity, the solace of a chosen family, and the unshakable bonds that can be forged in a lifetime.

This book hit me in the FEELS I was rooting for Oliver and Charlee the entire book. The addition of the outdoors and camping was also right up my alley. What a feel good story with a little spice. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5

💞 lovers to enemies to lovers vibe

💞 forced proximity

💞 one bed

💞 soulmates

💞 grumpy v sunshine vibes (FMC is fiery)

THIS BOOK. If you want an autumnal romance book that is so beautifully written that it’s nearly poetic, makes your heart warm, makes you feel ALL the emotions, and is such a cosy and easy read, please buy this book. I was addicted.

The storyline, with the inclusion of the characters letters, was a stunning way for us to get to know the characters on a deeper level. Add in the characters love of nature and the belief of fate and soulmates, it really is everything you want in a romance.

Being neurodivergent myself, I loved to see this being represented in our MMC, but one area I hadn’t heard of myself! It made me do a little research into this which is fantastic because it is raising more awareness. I loved that he was a really relatable character. Also, this made him a MMC who wasn’t afraid to show and feel his emotions at a heightened level, which was just perfection to see.

Oh, and the spice, 🥵. Detailed and HOT.

The reason for the loss of .5 of a star is because…and I can’t believe I am saying this…I would have liked to have seen a little more slow burn. I felt our FMC went from 0 - 100 around how she felt, and I felt there could have been a little more inner dialogue around her feelings during the stage of her realisation.

Unbearably Yours was one of those you just can't put down!
When college students are buddied up with students across the country, anonymously, Oliver and Charlee make a fast connection. They quickly "read" they were meant for each other. After a year of writing, they finally decide to meet irl.
I love how this story goes back from past to present, as we uncover what happens that day they are suppose to meet.
I love a "he falls harder" read. Oli and Char are adorable and I loved getting to know them

"Fuck, the mere thought of having her skin touch mine is sending me deeper into my spiral. She’s beautiful. No, the word doesn’t even come close to doing her justice. How come the English language does not contain a single word to describe her beauty? That rosy tint that colors her cheeks and the tip of her round nose? Or what about a word for those full lips pressed together in a little smirk like she knows she has the upper hand? How many times have I closed my eyes during classes and tried to picture her face? How many nights did I lie in bed, dreaming of those lips, the silky feel of her hair between my fingers, her head resting on my chest while I’d lull her to sleep? The sound of her voice? Damn, her voice . . . I wasn’t prepared for any of it. Hell, I didn’t think I would ever see her. Know the person she is beyond the words she shared with me. Not after . . ."

This is a story about second chances- but more importantly LOVE.

I received this ARC from Victory Editing and NetGalley, and Elodie Colliard Thank you!!

“You're the place I love to be the most too," then kisses the unspoken promise onto my lips.”

This is the first book I read from Elodie Colliard and I absolutely love it. Unbearably Yours is the third book in the series and it’s about Charlee and Oliver. They become pan pals and write to each other for almost a year. They get to know each other through their letters and tell everything about their lives. Charlee and Oli decide to finally meet in person after talking for so long but something happens and they don’t. Five years go by and Charlee is hired to go on a job in Vancouver where she meets the person she thought would ever hear from, Oliver. They both decide to work together and not talk about the past but a lot of things happen in the forest which brings them together. Will Charlee and Oliver ever talk about their past and why they never met each other?!!! If you want to find out then you better read this book!!!

I absolutely loved this story, it was touching and heartfelt. Charlee is such a strong person and hardworking; whereas, Oli is so sweet and kind. Such an amazing story and I feel like everyone should read it.

Thank you Net Galley and Elodie Colliard for providing me with an ARC.

Unbearably Yours is a perfect cozy, autumn read for when you just want to cuddle up in bed with a hot chocolate!

I was really excited about the concept of this book as I’ve not really read anything like it before, but I feel like the pacing was a bit too quick. I liked reading Charlee and Oliver’s letters, however it just felt like their feelings for each other developed so quickly I couldn’t really feel a connection between them. In the present timeline, I liked seeing Charlee and Oliver reunite and get to know each other again, but it felt kind of back and forth in the sense that they both wanted to discuss the rift between them, but weren’t willing to despite the obvious tension. Despite the slight miscommunication, I thought there was some really cute moments between Charlee and Oliver and even though I haven’t read the previous books in this series, I fell in love with the other characters and will definitely be going back to read their stories.

The ND representation in this book is so important and It really made me get to know Oliver more and be able to understand his struggles with Giftedness. Also the topic of grief is quite prevalent in this book as both characters are dealing with recent losses. It was so sweet watching Charlee & Oliver finally open up to each other about this and learn how to deal with their grief together.

Overall, Unbearably Yours was a perfect quick read, with lots of sweet moments that made me feel warm and cozy, while still having some serious undertones.

Okay, I saw one quote on the author’s instagram and immediately requested this. Impulsive? Maybe. But it was absolutely worth it.

That first scene just reeled me in (fishing pun absolutely intended) and I was unable to put it down after that. I think I choked at the “maybe you can get up and jump a bit” part. Trust me, you want to find out the context. Charlee’s response emulated my thoughts perfectly.

Their letters to each other were one of my favourite things. They were always entertaining and I love that we could see the growth and change in their relationship through those letters. The way their articles always alluded to their feelings for each other was great. The topics they covered in each article showed how much they were always thinking of the other and the progression of their relationship which was beyond sweet.

I loved the way Oliver’s neurodivergence was portrayed. It hit close to home and I liked that I could see myself in him. The way Charlee knew him well enough (when she wasn’t stuck in her own head) to understand his thought process without him ever needing to say anything was so wholesome.

Miscommunication, or I guess just a lack of communication, was a main point in this book. It drives me crazy when I know that so much could be solved if the characters would just talk to one another. Charlee’s stubbornness and feelings on the matter definitely dragged it out. I wanted to be annoyed with her for that, but honestly if I was in her position I think I would’ve acted similarly, so I can’t really blame her.

All in all, I cannot recommend this book enough. Check it out if you’re a fan of friends to lovers, forced proximity, second chance, slow burn, or small town.

Charlee & Oliver? They are EVERYTHING.

These two broke my heart and then put it back together again. I fall in love with them over and over again every time I've read this book. Don't ask me how many times I read it, I simply could not get enough of their love story.

Every book Elodie has given us is honestly such a beautiful and well crafted story with characters who feel so real, like they're sitting with us as we read their story. And Unbearably Yours is no exception, I felt those characters with me as they went through every up and down. This was such an amazing book, I loved every single second of it!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC!

Unbearably Yours was an easy to read, cozy, romcom. It lacked a little bit of depth and backstory of this couple, despite the duel timelines. But I really enjoyed the nature setting and overall atmosphere of this story.

This was such a fun read and I just loved Charlie and Oliver. This is a second chance romance were Charlie and Oliver meet first by letters they write to each other which I swooned over. They have a chance encounter that goes wrong and then do not meet again until 5 years later. They both meet up before heading on a work related trip to the Great Bear Rainforest. We are meet with forced proximity and miscommunication from the past. Their love story is charming and cozy and I highly enjoyed this read.

“Unbearably Yours” by Elodie Colliard, is the kind of story you sit back and ponder after you are done. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely look for her other books.

The plot is very different, moving back and forth in time through a series of letters written by two college journalism majors as part of a class requirement. After a fallout, they meet up unexpectedly five years later on an assignment.

While I really liked the female main character, I deeply enjoyed the author’s extremely well fleshed out male character. He doesn’t conform to the traditional romantic hero and I found that refreshing and more realistic.

This is a book well worth reading. It is full of substance, great dialogue, and explores deeper issues of feeling different in a world that isn’t always kind or doesn’t understand the struggles of anxiety and giftedness.

A very cute outdoorsy romance that is emotional and in depth. The story is told in past and present time and dual pov, which I loved. The past time is written through letters that the MC’s wrote each other and that really added a lot of depth to it all. I enjoyed myself immensely and finished it within a day.

I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a new romance read, which is set in the beautiful Canadian outdoors and that has just the right amount of spice added to the romance as well ;)

thanks so much to the publisher and netgallet for providing me with an arc of this book, in exchange for me leaving an honest review.

I can’t wait to read more by this author and will revisit this world by reading the other two books that were written prior to this one. This one can be read as a standalone :)

Unbearably yours is the perfect fall romance read. I’ve always loved Eloise Colliards work but this one hit the cherry on top. It was so incredibly cozy, hot and absolutely romantic. I’m so obsessed with this story and I can’t wait for it to come out so I can rant about it nonstop. Also can we take a moment to appreciate the cover? I can always count on this artist for me to want to pick up a book

This was an easy five stars 🥹

I couldn’t get enough of Charlee and Oliver 🫶 I’m a sucker for second chance romances. I absolutely adored reading the letters Charlee and Oliver wrote each other, and seeing how their relationship blossomed. The letters are interspersed between the present-day chapters, and they brought everything full circle.

These characters are so beautifully written, with so much depth and past experiences that shaped them. There is great neurodivergent x hypersensitivity rep with Oliver & he’s the perfect cinnamon roll MMC 🥹 Charlee is an adventurous queen who perfectly complements Oliver 🫶 it was funny watching them fight their feelings for each other because they never stood a chance 🧡
