I started this on ebook and switched to audio after I grabbed the ALC from netgalley (thank you Netgalley and other appropriate sources for that!)
The narrator was great, I thought she played the voice of Gemma well. I think I’ve struggled this summer with lots of narrators, but I really liked Ariel Royce’s delivery. So if you’ve been burned by some narrators, just know I approve of this one.

Now! Onto the story itself.
I go into a lot of books with cinnamon roll/golden retriever MMCs and I usually end up thinking they’re too good for our FMC—especially when we only get single POV (which Summer tease is single POV) but I actually really liked Gemma a lot! Martha made her character likeable and yeah maybe we could be frustrated with some of her thought process, but I wasn’t! I love that she wasn’t a jerk to the MMC, even if she didn’t like him at the beginning.
The chemistry between Beau and Gemma, so sweet. If you’re looking for that casual summer, beach read, I think this should definitely be on your list. It’s low angst with the sweet romance that will warm your heart. Loved the sassy grandma side character, Grams, who doesn’t love them?

A fun, lighthearted read that I’ll definitely recommend to my sweet romance loving friends ♥️ well done, Martha Keyes.

Oh my goodness! I just finished the audio of Martha Keyes “Summer Tease” and loved it! It may be my favorite Falling for Summer book. 😍 but then I feel I say that for each book I read in the series. They’re all just SO.GOOD!
🌊
Beau’s job is police, or tease, Sunset Harbor or Gemma. He is a part-time police officer- the ONLY police officer- and Gemma reluctantly agrees to help him with some PR work. The enemies to lovers trope is strong and satisfying. Gemma and Beau’s families have feuded for decades. Gemma is happy to keep it up because of past hurt. Beau is ready to move on. Some Romeo and Juliet vibes but with a different ending 😉
🌊
Great side characters, seeing Gemma’s growth and kindness come out of hiding, and Grams 🎉
🌊
The audiobook released this week and I didn’t want to put it down! This is a single POV, I noticed the others I’ve read have been dual. I do love Beau, seeing his POV would’ve been fun but not needed as much. Because his job is Sunset Harbor, Gemma, tease or police. Almost in that order 😉
🌊
Thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for the alc. These are my own thoughts and opinions. I will definitely be getting the paperback for my shelves 💜

I Just finished another audiobook from the fabulous Falling for Summer series!

Summer Tease by Martha Keyes is another fantastic read in this super addictive series! The back-and-forth banter between Beau and Gemma is so entertaining! Beau, with his island charm and heart of gold, pairs so perfectly with Gemma’s fiery spirit!

Watching Gemma slowly thaw and fall back in love with the island of Sunset Harbor, and its residents (specifically the hunky part time cop ;) was so heartwarming. Add in the long time family feud between Gemma’s grandma and Beau’s family for just the right amount of tension, making every interaction between them entertaining! Speaking of which, can we talk about how hilarious Grams is!?! She definitely stole every scene she was in!

If you’re looking for a fun, light summer read that’s packed with humor, heart, and a hint of mischief, Summer Tease should be at the top of your list!

Huge thank you to @netgalley and @dreamscape_media for the audiobook copy!

Summer Tease, by Martha Keyes, is part of the Falling for Summer series of non-explicit contemporary romantic comedy books published by a variety of authors. This series takes place on a fictional island in Florida called Sunset Harbor, and this book is the fourth in the series.

I haven't been reading the books in order, but this one is more intertwined with the characters from previous books so I'm now more interested in reading the books that come before this one. You could still read this book as a stand-alone, but I don't think the experience will be as rich when the side characters make cameos or are mentioned.

Beau and Gemma grew up together on Sunset Harbor, but now Gemma lives in LA and Beau is a part time cop on the island. They reconnect on Sunset Harbor through a mutual feud between their families. Torn between loyalty to her grandma and her growing attraction to Beau, Gemma must decide if her flirtation with Beau is true love and worth sacrificing for. To complicate matters, Gemma's time is being divided between Beau and helping keep her grandma out of trouble.

I enjoyed this book overall. The subplot of Gemma's grandma getting in trouble all the time was a little cheesy, but felt original and added more interest to the main romance part of the story. I didn't personally connect to Gemma as a main female character, as it seemed she had a bad/annoying attitude and it wasn't clear what Beau found attractive about her personality. However, the single POV did make me feel curious about Beau's perspective about Gemma and I felt like I needed to keep listening to find out what happened.

The audiobook voice used was great for the different voices and personalities of the characters.

Content: Clean, kisses only. No swearing.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the complementary ARC copy of this audiobook. My opinions are my own and are in no way influenced by the publisher.

I am adoring Sunset Harbor and Gemma and Beau are perfect examples of why! This is an enemies to lovers with a healthy dose of cute dogs and laugh out loud geriatrics (Zena and Grams are by far the BEST side characters ever!!!). The chemistry between these two is just the perfect balance of love and hate. The attraction is there with the witty banter, but the family feud that now involves the entire island (Team Palmer vs Team Sawyer) is a real barrier. Gemma and Beau can both hold their own and dish out as much as they serve and they are just FUN. Between Beau’s charming, happy go lucky demeanor and Gemma’s determination to be the professional representative of Team Sawyer there are plenty of antics, but then you add in Grams and it is all done for! I laughed out loud so many times. I do enjoy the slight overlap to other stories in the series. Nothing that gives any of the other stories or plots away, but just enough of a taste that you know you are on the same island with the same people.
Additionally, the narrator did a great job of bringing this story to life in my mind’s eye. I probably laughed even more as I heard the scenarios and discussions.
I received a complimentary copy audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫ALC Review

This enemies to lovers romantic comedy is book four of the Falling for Summer series. The series takes place in Sunset Harbor and each book features different residents of the small town island. The characters appear throughout the series, but each book can be read as a standalone. It is such a fun and unique series due to it being written by multiple authors and it takes a “connected series” to a whole new level of fabulous!

In this book we meet Gemma and Beau, who are actively part of a long term family feud. Gemma comes back to the island to help her grandma and has encounter after encounter with the infuriatingly charming cop next door. The banter and romance is great in this book as are the shenanigans pulled by Gemma’s grandma. I am really loving this series!

Quote: "It's no use arguing with this man. In the words of Mrs. Bennet from Pride & Prejudice, he delights in vexing me. The world hath never seen a tease like unto Beau Palmer."

Things to enjoy:
☀️ Enemies to lovers
🚔 He falls first
☀️ Rival families
🚔 Cop romance
☀️ Quirky grandma
🐕‍🦺 Dog sidekick

Thank you to the author Martha Keyes for the advanced copy of the book!

Another cute Falling for Summer novel! Beau and Gemma’s star-crossed lovers romance was so sweet and I enjoyed the drama of the family rivalry. Gram’s antics at the senior living center were hilarious.

The audiobook narration was well done and I would definitely recommend it!

Martha Keyes is one of my go-to authors for when I want something sweet, easy to read, and feel good. Summer Tease is part of a series with other authors that I haven’t read yet, but it works as a stand alone and the hints of other storylines throughout the book made me interested in reading the whole series. I liked the idea of a longstanding family feud coming between the two main characters, as well as the fact that Gemma’s distaste for the island also made their romance difficult. There wasn’t a lot of tension in this book, but it had enough “problems” for the couple to solve that it wasn’t boring and had me interested throughout. The narrator did a good job changing voices for characters without being cheesy and this was a good audiobook option. Overall it was a fun summer read!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you so much for this audiobook ARC, I’m so grateful for it!
I want to go to Sunset Harbour so badly, I love this series and I’m making my way through them! I need to read them all!
This one was great, not quite as good as the first one but that’s mainly because the romance didn’t feel as satisfying however I did really like the romance in this one and found it very sweet.
My favourite thing about this book was the importance of a strong relationship with a grandparent, I have a very good relationship with my grandparents and I constantly worry about them so I connected to the protagonist’s worries very much.

One criticism I will say is, I understand each book centres on another character and is written by another author however, I don’t know if it was the narrator or the writing but whenever Jane from book 1 is mentioned, she feels like a totally different character in her interactions and comes across as timid, whereas in book 1, she is very much the type of person who has everything under control, is confident and a strong force in the community with a great sense of humour. Some of the other characters from the first book that made appearances also felt very different to how they were previously described.

Nevertheless I still felt like it was the same feel of the first novel and I enjoyed the mischievous old ladies!

The narrator did a great job with tone and pacing and was very impressive when voice male characters, so much so that I forgot it was a woman voicing them.

I really do feel like Sunset Harbour is a real place and it’s very refreshing to have a romance book series that isn’t just full of spice and actually shows the relationship develop through the plot.

I adore hallmark movies and really enjoyed watching Chesapeake Shores and these books are very reminiscent of those films and programmes.

I'm definitely going to read all of the books in the series so I can do a full review on TikTok; I am desperate to read/listen to book 3, as I love Capri and can't wait to hear her POV!

This is a great will they won they. One person who can't let go of a fight/grudge and another who isn't thinking about any issues. There is BIG history family history feud.

The banter was great! I had a lot of LOL moments loved Gram especially.

Beau was seriously the best he was. He has been a side characters in other books in the series. So you kinda always know him and like him. But now you really get to know him and hes the BEST!! His love for people and the island, and his job were just so sweet and his dog Xena!

Gemma can;t let go of the hate for the island and the people who wronged her family. All she wants to do is get in and get out. But as the days pass she starts letting her guard down to the island. Can she let the past go or is she going to let her ruin anything good?

Beau & Gemma work so well they may be my favorite couple so far!

this one unlike the others in the series is just told in single narration. the other was duel pov. But I was still here for it.

This is the 1st book I'm glad I've read past books but I'm also still here for reading them in random. just try to read this one 1st.

4.5/5 stars

Thank You NetGalley for this audio arc in exchange for my honest review!

Summer Tease by Martha Keyes is a fun and light summer romance. It is the 4th book in the “Falling For Summer” series, which is a multi-author series with interconnected characters all taking place on Sunset Harbor. However, they can all be enjoyed as standalone stories.

This story follows Gemma and Beau. Gemma is returning to Sunset Harbor after being away for 14 years. She doesn’t have the best memories of the island and still holds a grudge against her neighbors, the Palmers. She is moving her Grams into a retirement center and getting her house ready to sell. Beau Palmer still lives next door and she finds herself in the age-old feud again.

I loved both Beau and Gemma and their banter had me smiling the whole time. It was fun to watch Beau try to make Gemma fall in love with Sunset Harbor again. Along with getting her grandmother's house ready to sell, she also has to help her mischievous grandma not get kicked out of the retirement center. Beau is a steady presence has Gemma heals her feelings with Sunset Harbor.

If you are in the mood for a light, fun, swoony summer read with a feud about a birdhouse and property lines, this is the book for you!

Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media, and Martha Keyes for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.

"Wonderfully written. Fun dialogue between Beau and Gemma. Victoria Sawyer, Gemma's grandma, livens up the story. A favorite quote, ""Have you ever seen a man in a well-tailored suit driving a boat? It’s a bucket list item, and my bucket truly runneth o’er."" Clean romance, no swears, no alcohol (only secondary characters drink and get drunk), kissing only. The Audiobook was easy to listen to with a great narrator. "

Hello Beau Palmer *swoon*
Summer Tease is another winner in this amazing Falling for Summer series. I really loved Beau, who is practically perfect in this story and sets a new bar for book boyfriends. Every time his character was on the page, I was smiling like a crazy lady. He was beyond sweet, so hilarious, and legit perfect. It’s possible I fell for him even harder than Gemma did. :)
Gemma is back on Sunset Harbor to help her Grams get settled into a new retirement center and sell her home. She has some major feelings toward the island, particularly the family next door, so when one of those boys-next-door keeps invading her bubble, the only thing she can do is keep her enemy closer. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Gemma and Beau. I feel so repetitive, but I can't say enough how Beau was just the best and made this book for me. We don't get to see his POV, but the banter he brings with Gemma is top notch and I just loved how he was portrayed and kind of wore down Gemma by helping her soften her heart and move forward from past grievances. They definitely had a palpable chemistry that I was totally here for. It was a curl your toes, make you grin kind of romance.
I really liked Gemma’s character growth throughout the book and the way Sunset Harbor changed for her as time went on. This book was adorable and one I look forward to reading again and again.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel and I really liked Ariel Royce for Gemma. I think she did a good job with Gemma's personality and capturing the other characters. Super cute all around.
I received an advance listening copy of this novel from Netgalley and Dreamscape Media. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another new-to-me author and another great Falling for Summer book that I enjoyed! Thanks to Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this one via NetGalley! These are my honest thoughts :)

I loved Gemma and Beau's story! It starts as Gemma's family feuding with the Palmers, with drama going back over 50 years between the two families. Gemma's family feels like they got the short end of the stick, and the Palmers seem to have everything - the house, a fancy assisted living facility, people being elected to city council positions over members of Gemma's family, etc. I loved that the family feuding continued for Gemma as she returned to the island to help her grandma sell her house, but Beau is all playful and sweet and thoughtful in his "feuding" back. There are harmless pranks, a bird feeder war, SO MUCH FLIRTING, and genuine connection between these characters.

Gemma tries to deny her feelings, and Beau tries not to come on too strong for Gemma's sake. It's a slow burn to a relationship, but I just love the antics and all of the hero moments from Beau (he's the only cop on the island). He's protective. He's forward thinking. He's thoughtful. And he's sweet on her grandma, despite the family war that's been happening for years.

This is such a fun installment in this connected standalone universe. I loved seeing a lot of the other characters in this book, because of Beau's involvement in the community, primarily. It was fun to find the easter eggs and figure out where in their story the other characters are.

This one gets a solid 4-star from me! Definitely a fun beach read book for the summer!

Summer Tease is the 4th book in the Falling For Summer series, but it can totally be read as a standalone. I freaking loved this one. From the start I knew it was going to be in my tops of this series. The banter was amazing, it had me chuckling all throughout the book, the sassy and crazy grandma, she was amazing and so hilarious.

Beau is such a swoony MC I freaking adored him. He's such a great person with a beautiful heart and soul. Gemma is just a strong FMC with a spunk you can't help but love. I loved how Beau was able to make her fall back in love with the town and heal her conflicting feelings. They were seriously the best together.

This was just such a fun and light summer read. It had me laughing and swooning up until the very end. Definitely one of my favorites in the series so far with Beauty And The Beach.

🎧 The narration by Ariel Royce was amazing. I really loved her voice and tone. She had the perfect spunk to make the banter hit just right and for the jokes to make you laugh. She did a good job at voicing Beau as well, very fun listen !

This is the fourth book in the Falling for Summer series. In this book, Gemma has reluctantly returned to Sunset Harbor to help get her grandma settled in her new nursing home and prepare her home for selling. She runs into Beau Palmer and they work to get over a generational family rivalry. For many years, the Palmers and Sawyers have not gotten along, despite being next door neighbors.

I enjoyed Beau and Gemma together, their banter was fun. Their relationship seemed to grow genuinely. Beau was sweet and kind. Gemma seemed to play up the victim card that the island was always out to get her and her family.

I enjoyed the epilogue too! So cute and funny!

This book was done as a single POV. I usually enjoy dual POV to hear from the man’s side of the story. However it was still a good read! I really enjoyed the narrator in this book! Ariel Royce did a great job!

Thank you Martha Keyes, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the chance to listen to this book in exchange for my honest review. The book has been out for a bit but the audiobook releases today! You can find it on hoopla too!!
