Part of the Falling for Summer series. The Falling of Summer series is a series of seven stand-alone clean romances. All by different authors. They are located on a fictional island of Florida. I believe they all happen concurrently, so it doesn't matter what order you read them in. (Based on the events, I am fairly certain at least five of them are concurrent, so one would assume all seven are.)

Summer Tease is a Hatfields and McCoys themed book. The Sawyers and Palmers have lived next door for decades and there is a strong hatred. Gemma Sawyer lived on the island until a zoning issue favored the Palmers, driving their family away. But her grandma remained and now Gemma is back on the island to help ready the house for sale. She is on island all of a few hours before police officer Beau Palmer pulls her over. Beau is happy to see her, but she is seething. But he wears her down as time goes on.

I liked this a lot better than [book:Summer Ever After|210392296], which is part of the series. <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6681832919 ">My review is here.</a> Though part of the problem with the other book was the narrator.

Beau is adorable and hard to dislike- especially with his "K5" companion. Gemma is also likeable and her feelings are validated pretty well.

Now, the reason for three stars- the length. So much of it was repetitive- the dock, the unruly rental neighbors, etc... A good 1/4-1/3 could have been cut out without losing the plot in the slightest.

I also wish it was dual POV. I'd have liked to get Beau's thoughts.

Ariel Royce narrates the audiobook and does a good job. No complaints.

This book was a fun listen. Gemma and Beau's journey to love made me laugh and smile. This story is told only in Gemma's POV, which is different from the other books in the Falling for Summer series. This book is book 4 in the series. This rom-com has good banter and made me laugh out loud quite a bit.

You would enjoy this book if you like:
* family feuds (think Romeo and Juliet)
* a man in uniform (he's a cop)
* enemies to lovers
* small town romance
* a young at heart grandma

Ariel Royce did a great job narrating this audiobook. I was nervous on how one narrator would capture the male and female characters, but she did a great job and I didn't even realize it was just one narrator. She did a great job with the difficult task of narrating female and male roles. While I normally prefer a dual POV with more than one narrator, one narrator totally worked for this audio and I really enjoyed it.

The “citizen’s arrest” was my FAVORITE and the sweetest GRAND GESTURE comes of all places during a city council meeting! It made me teary!!

I’m absolutely loving all the characters in the Falling for Summer series and Summer Tease is a great addition to the series!

Sunset Harbor is the place to be! I’m loving this series so, so much. Each book has been spectacular!

Gemma and Beau are so stinking cute! Their age
old family feud gives their relationship a unique dynamic. Gemma is holding on to the hate for the benefit of her Grams, but Beau is too charming to resist. I love the banter and the humor. My favorite part was definitely the citizen’s arrest. And Grams most certainly stole the whole show.

Let’s not forget that epilogue! Hilarious!

I enjoyed this book on audio. This was a single pov/single narration, and while I prefer dual pov with male and female narrations Ariel does such a fantastic job that I didn’t miss it at all.

sweet story with a good storyline. I dig the mains— Beau, the golden retriever small town cop… and Gemma, the big city lady coming to sell her grandma’s house and get out! The families hate each other, but she is starting to fall for the sweet, kind, caring Beau because he is her neighbor and he is everywhere!

This gave me the same vibes as Things We Hide From the Light— but this version skips the explicit sex, and relies instead on the romantic tension between two people who really shouldn’t like each other. And their kisses are 🫠 swoony.

I loved the narrator, too. I tried it at different speeds and it was fantastic all around! Definitely recommend the audio if you prefer to listen.

I really enjoyed this book. Beau was the best MMC throughout the whole book. I wasn't s huge fan of Gemma because she held onto a grudge that only her family was still holding onto...and I definitely didn't like Gram. Once you reads the book, you'll understand why. I grew up around a manipulative grandmother like her.

Other than that, I really did love listening to this book. I wish is had been dual POV because I would have loved getting inside Beau's head. He is such a sweetheart.

I enjoyed the other books in this series, but this one wasn’t a good fit for me. I don’t like the rivals-to-lovers trope, and I couldn’t relate to Gemma on any level. I disliked how she and the retirement center treated her grandmother like a naughty child. The narration was fine, but I missed the dual narration from the other books.

Every time I read a book in this series I think it’s my new favorite. You do not have to read the books in the series but why wouldn’t you! They have all been so good. I loved the connection GG and Grams have. This book takes the enemies to lovers trope to a new level as well. So fun.

Family feuds and retirement center shenanigans. Loving this series so much, the cameos from the series are seamless. The jealousy from Gemma with every female Beau interacts with is entertaining.

Another fun, swoony kissing only enemies to lovers romance set on the fictional Florida island of Sunset Harbor.
