This is a lovely coffee table book. The pictures are taken for the book, not library pictures so it is very up to date. The people featured in the book are all people who are influencing the world of interiors now and the photos are excellent. There is a brief interview with each of the featured home owners - they are not all interior designers, followed. by a good selection of photos of their houses. I have heard of a lot of the people included, many I already followed on instagram, now I follow quite a few more of them. The book feels very modern and fresh.

I really liked this! The layout of the photographs were perfect for the style of the interiors (which I’m obsessed with). The little articles for each person/partners were the perfect length for a book like this as well.

This gorgeous coffee table book is great design inspo for artists and creatives. They cover a range of styles and the spaces feel unique, eclectic and lived-in—in the best way possible. There’s lots to see here for those who love layering color, texture, and pattern. Not quite maximalism, but the kind of home where you can see the curatorial impulse is just simply things this creative person loves and is drawn to. And that’s the kind of home I want, so it was a perfect fit for me and an inspiration read. The colors and photos are gorgeous and the book would make a lovely gift for quirky, creative types trying to find their style.

A very inspiring look into homes that mix a classic background with a modern and eclectic style. The different stories of the home owners were quite intriguing too and this is certainly a book that I would pick up over and over again just to look at the beautiful photographs.

A beautiful coffee-table book for anyone who likes bohemian interiors, joining the modern to the ancient with high contrast colours, particularly sunshine/coral, avocado green/cobalt/pink.
I enjoyed looking at those various interiors from British creatives, probably because I am in the phase of renovating my home and personalising it.
There is definitely a lot of character and individuality in all those more maximalist homes, but it's funny to also see very similar threads and how a lot of them would very much fit together in one home.
The photography is beautiful, and the brightness of all the shots particularly stood out. While I expect beautiful lighting from Australia, I had expected darker shots from England, and I was pleasantly surprised to see all this light.

A lovely book with so many beautiful rooms and inspiration! I partially love the many bookshelves used in these rooms, and the old charming style British homes have. Lots of pictures and fun decorating ideas and plenty of colors and trends. I would love this as a coffee table book in my home.
Thank you to the author and publishers for this arc,

When I first saw New English Interiors, I was excited by the prospect of drawing inspiration from its pages. The initial impression was promising, with the book's beautiful layout and stunning photography. However, as I delved deeper, it was somewhat lacklustre for my taste. The book focuses heavily on the aesthetics of English designers and artists, which, while visually appealing, didn't resonate with the everyday practicality I had hoped for. In fact, some of the rooms featured felt overly garish to me.

That said, this book would be a treasure trove for those who adore colour and have an eclectic taste. It offers a vibrant showcase of bold interiors, and I can see the appeal for those who are drawn to such a style. I particularly admired Cath Kidston's aesthetic, which blends classic elements with pops of colour and bold florals. The purple armchairs, in particular, stood out to me—they were elegant and striking.

In conclusion, while New English Interiors wasn't quite what I was looking for, I would recommend it to anyone who loves an eclectic style with bold colours. It's a beautifully crafted book, but it just wasn't the right fit for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion | Frances Lincoln for gifting me an e-book copy of New English Interiors.

This was so much fun for me!! I am terrible at home decoration; my daughter's friend told his mom in front of me that I clearly don't care what people think. This book showcases several homes that are impeccably decorated by people who clearly have the skills, such as artists and designers. But it also explains how they got their inspiration, how they learned about their own homes, and how they made their choices. Even though the items could look cluttered if someone else decorated them, these items were placed so deliberately. The overall effect is beautiful, charming, cozy, and everything you want in a home. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

I came across New English Interiors and was instantly drawn to the cover. It promised everything I love about contemporary English interior design - bold colors, rich textures and patterns, and unique furniture and decor. The book features 22 homes, providing insight into the people who live there, the concepts behind the aesthetics, and plenty of beautiful images. I appreciate that the book goes beyond just showcasing images, offering ideas that can be adapted to fit different lifestyles and spaces. Each entry feels like a valuable addition to the overall theme of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great coffee table book or seeking inspiration for an English-style home redesign project! It was a bit difficult to flip through in a digital format so it's a must-buy.

This is a beautiful book to sit down and read with a cup of tea and calming music playing in the background. It covers 20 homes of English creatives with their lovely homes filled with bold ideas, rich in color and design. It was delightful to turn the pages to see the bright colors, beautiful and unique patterns and textures along with unique furniture and home decor. I loved reading this on my iPad so that I could see the colors and the format in a magazine style. It would be a perfect addition to a coffee table collection of books to look over at a dinner party or gathering.

"Of the countless interior design trends that come and go every year, there is one that endures: the ever-evolving English style. "

It is so much fun to explore and tour other homes through these pages. So many opportunities for a fresh spark of creativity and inspiration. Eccentric, eclectic, and brilliant! Designs I would never think of pulling off somehow work perfectly. Different homes, styles, and lots of colors! There is nothing subtle about any of these homes, yet they are balanced and welcoming. I appreciated the opportunity to get an insider’s view.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

I'm not into interior design at all, really, but I had just gotten back from England when I came across this book. The interiors are lovely and include several quirky to eccentric choices--at first I didn't realize how many would be featured and thought maybe I wouldn't find any I liked. But I needn't have worried! Patterned wallpaper with printed rugs and bright or vintage furniture, you're bound to find something that will make you smile. Who knew bright colors could also feel so cozy? I bookmarked the 6 that I like best to revisit later.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is a beautifully photographed collection of interiors! It was interesting reading the profiles of each owner/designer and the thought processes that went into creating their spaces. I cannot wait to add this to our Library's collection once it's released!

Just as the introduction of the books states: this book is a respite for those who can’t take minimalist interiors any longer. Sometimes more is just more lol!

I really enjoyed this book, especially the historical homes. If you’re looking for bold ideas on how to combine multiple textures and colors in a cozy environment, you found your inspiration source!

I read the advanced digital copy, but I think I’ll pre order the physical copy, because it’s just a very nice book to have at the coffee table. The pictures look great on the iPad too if you’re not looking to have a physical copy.

I think one of my favorite aspects of the individual stories in this book is how the people featured have a love and respect for the historical houses they inhabit. Very often we look at major remodeling projects that gut a property and change them drastically. The projects featured are a beautiful assemble of people invested in paying homage to the heritage and bringing that history to the forefront of their living spaces.

Thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Book for the advanced copy!

This book takes cottagecore to a whole new level! A traditional and eclectic mix of decor in the homes featured in this book makes for lovely, cozy visuals. It was a little challenging to enjoy all the details in digital format, and I would definitely enjoy holding this book in my hands and flipping through for inspiration. The homes featured all have their own flair but there is a consistent visual aesthetic throughout. A nice book filled with inspirational images.
