Howe takes a literary stab at a probable cause for the mass hysteria that resulted in the Salem witch trials in Colonial America. The "ah ha moment" when we the reader learn about the psychological principle of conversion was like a light illuminating the story, as well as so many aspects of daily life in this overscheduled internet age.
I struggled with liking the main character. She didn't seem that strong of a person for all her abilities. The modern connection with the Salem Witch Trials was an interesting twist....complete with media.
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
