I loved this latest from Jessica. This story was sad, and it made me happy. I loved the descriptions of the Lake District as I know it well. I enjoyed reading about the farm and the Manor house and the friendships. Looking forward to the next one. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I usually prefer to start my reviews with all the positive aspects/things I liked about it, but since this one started with the answer to the cliffhanger from the previous book I have to start with a minor complaint. First of all, I was excited to know that I was correct with my prediction on who Oliver's father was. My complaint comes from finding out this huge thing and then the characters most impacted by that information were secondary characters to this story and didn't really interact much at all (although I did love the part with Oliver calling him 'dad', that was just really sweet). And that was my only real complaint about the story. Although with the author saying this will be a 12-15 book series I'm hoping Christian will get his own story at some point and we will get to see more of him and Oliver together. As for the story actually being told here - I really liked Emma and loved her ambition to make a go of her business venture even when her personal life hits a rough patch. I'm glad that she realized pretty quickly that she hadn't been happy with Grayson for a while and was going to miss the dog more than him. I wished she had been a little more petty on her way out - just some seafood in the air vents or re-packing everything she had unpacked for him or filling the house with lilies - but that's just because I wanted him punished for what he had done to her. With him and her ex-husband she did seem to have a knack for picking out the most cowardly men when it came to talking through difficult times. I enjoyed how organically her relationship with Killian developed - although there was an instant attraction they did actually get to know one another prior to anything romantic. I also really liked how Emma and her father reconnected. Another great Jessica Redland story! Looking forward to book 4!

Yet another excellent read from Jessica Redland. The story built up slowly and some of the characters were absolutely infuriating. However, once we got past them, the book developed into a lovely gentle read where we met people from the previous books. Lots of aspects of human life here, good and bad but the story overcomes difficulties and friendships, family and romantic relationships come to the fore. Highly recommend this book and although you can read it standalone, you would probably appreciate it more if you read the earlier books in this series before this one.

What is not to like? The Magnificent 7, more of the characters from the prvious two books, the beautiful lakes, Emma overcoming a troubled relationship, which she had not realised she had and the alround loving spportive, fun and wholesome nature of the book. JUst a beautiful uplifting read.

It will make you look up the place in the Lakes and Alpacas!

I was so excited to read the ARC for The Best is Yet To Come by Jessica Redland and as I’ve come to expect, there’s a lot of different experiences and aspects to the book as you dive through the pages. We follow Emma, who is living in a relationship and situation that is not the best, it’s not clear how the character didn’t know this, and is quite floored by things that unfold. She’s very close to her mum and dad, her half sisters and a new arrival into the family.
Having given up her life to start again, she has a second new start, this time with Alpaca’s (which I really don’t like and I knew that going into the book, but sometimes you override one minor detail to enjoy the writing of one of your go to authors).
Having rescued 7 Alpaca’s, the Magnificent 7, Emma is completely dedicated to setting up an Alpaca Walking Centre. A lot of names and tiny moments in the story remind me of my dad, he would have certainly taken me on an Alpaca walk, even if I had been kicking and screaming.
There’s life after love, great national trust places and interesting facts about Beatrix Potter and some serious moments and endometriosis gets a well-deserved highlight. The more awareness, the better.
What does life after love look like? What does life at Willowdale Hall look like? More to the point find out about Killian.
4 shiny stars.

The Best is yet to Come is the third book in The Escape to the Lakes series and everyone is better than the last. I loved the first 2 and this one is fabulous.
Still set in the same place as the previous two it introduces us to Emma. She has given up her career as a teacher to move into a farm with her fiance but things aren’t always what you expect.
Emma is set on opening an Alpaca walking Adventure when her dad drops a bombshell which changes everything.
A mixture of old and new characters I feel in love again with it all.
A fabulous setting with fantastic descriptions of the Alpacas I can’t wait to see what happens in book four.
Bring it on.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC of Jessica’s fabulous new book .

Jessica does it again. Brilliant instalment in the lakes series. I loved a main character who is approximately my age and as ever Jessica does not shy away from carefully including real life topics such as fertility challenges, difficult relationships and parental marriage breakdown. But do not fear, the book is a wonderfully uplifting read and leaves the reader with a warm and optimistic feeling. A great read.

I love a Jessica Redland book – you know what you are getting - a well written book to gladden your heart and raise your spirits. This is an excellent summer read, which will leave you wanting more and make you feel like you have made new friends.

Emma had a disastrous marriage, so when her fiancée Grayson moves in with her, and then they plan a new life together running on of Beatrix Potter’s farms Emma is over the moon. Unfortunately, ‘real life’ doesn’t always go to plan and Emma finds herself having to fulfil her dream of looking after Alpacas by herself. Luckily she has friends and family to support her and help fulfil her dream. This book shows the old adage that sometimes something bad can end up as the best thing that could have happened.

This is a gorgeous feel-good novel. The characters are well crafted, and I feel like I have made new friends who I would love to meet again. An excellent author who has a huge following for a very good reason.

The Best is Yet to Come is a wonderfully warm and comforting novel. Feels like a hug in a book! Not too sweet, it deals with challenges but takes you where you want to go. The choice of setting and the alpacas doesn't hurt either!

Oh wow Jessica you did it again I was hooked from page 1.
I love the alpacas and how you have described their individual traits and temperaments and how they act when they are happy and in their happy place. I bet doing the research for that was fun?.
When Emma and Killian went and got the herd I was sitting next to them in the car willing them to go faster.
I really hope there's more in this series I think it's my favourite series after the hedgehogs.
I wish I could give you more than 5 stars as I would give you a million.

This charming story is the third instalment in a series, but it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone. It follows Emma as she embarks on a new chapter in her life, leaving behind a successful teaching career to help her fiancé Grayson run a farm. But when things don’t go as planned, Emma finds herself heartbroken and starting over once again. At Willowdale Hall, she’s welcomed with open arms, but her dream of setting up an alpaca-walking business comes with its own set of challenges, including a grumpy groundskeeper and unexpected family issues. Despite the obstacles, Emma’s journey is a heartwarming tale of resilience, new beginnings, and the power of following your dreams.

The Best is Yet to Come is part of a series by Jessic Redlands but can easily be read as a stand alone. It’s a gentle romance, readable in just a couple of hours.

My main gripe is a common one for this genre of book where the first love interest is as hideously awful as they come yet the main character has no idea that things aren’t working. It’s just a bit over the top to be very believable. Thankfully once he’s out of the picture things improve.

Emma and Killian make a nice, easy to root for pairing even if the description in the blurb makes him sound like a grump which he only is one time before being a cinnamon roll. The setting in the Lake District is a good one.

A little bland for me to rave about but enjoyable and I would read more from the series.

Just when Emma thought she was starting to live her dream, her life comes crashing down around her. Stunned, Emma has to pick herself up and start over again.
Desperate to get her new business, walking rescued alpacas, off the ground Emma will need all the help she can get.
Meeting the team at Willowdale Hall seems like fate, as Oliver and Rosie offer Emma a place to set up her business. But not everyone at Willowdale appears happy about Emma’s plans.
Taciturn groundskeeper Killian makes Emma feel she is preventing him doing something more important. If Emma is going to make her new dream come true she will need all the help she can get from Killian and her newly extended family.
A lovely story, full of family, friendship, warmth and love set in the wonderful Lake District.

We are back at the lakes for the third in the series, these can totally be read as a stand alone but you'd be missing out a treat you if don't read the others.

This is Emma's story, starting over again after leaving her teaching job.

I love how Emma never gave up on her dreams, making new friends, gorgeous Alpacas.

It was also great to catch up on willowdale hall and the happenings there which really ties this story together.

This is such a beautiful story and a fabulous series.

I absolutely love Jessica Redland and this book did not disappoint. I absolutely loved this story about starting over but you will need tissues I cried more than once.

Emma is starting over…again. She has packed up her cottage and given up her teaching career to work with her fiancé Grayson on his farm. During theses chapters I struggled to read on , not because of the writing but I felt so bad for Emma. More than once I shouted at Grayson.

However Emma finds herself starting over yet again as things don’t work out on the farm, at this point I couldn’t put the book down and laughed and cried until the end. I love the strong family connections and the friendships.

Filled with family, love, second chances and forgiveness. Such a brilliant book filled with hope and the unexpected! I Can’t wait to read the next instalment.

A lovely story about love, family, community and following your heart. Emma begins a new career working with her fiancé on a farm and dreams of running an alpaca walking business around the farm. When things don't work out for her and Grayson, she is heartbroken and lost. She gets a second chance at a new start but needs to trust her heart and follow her dreams. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This is the third book in the lakes series and I highly recommend starting at the beginning.

I absolutely love this author and read this in practically one sitting. Their descriptive writing makes you feel like you are there and absorbed in the scenery and surroundings in real life. The Lake District is one of the places that evokes lots of happy memories for me and reading this transports me right back there. As a Beatrix potter fan I also enjoy the links and connections to her in these books. I almost felt like I was there stroking the alpacas at one point rather than sat in my garden reading.

This instalment focuses on Emma and how when you put your mind to it you can achieve anything and that nothing is impossible with hope and a dream and hard work.

A lot of this story I found
Very relatable and really resonated with me. I was pleased that Emma had a good support network around her and how she showed strength courage and determination to start again.

Once I had started reading this instalment I cook snd put it down a heartwarming read of friendships relationships and second chances.

I hope there are more books to come in this series
