Emma is leaving her secure job as a teacher to support her fiancée in his dream of farming a Beatrix Potter farm, she imagines having a great time with all the animals and having more time with Grayson it’s going to be ideal. But reality is so much different from her dream and she ends up broken hearted homeless and jobless.
She also loses her dream of an alpaca walking business but when she finds out she has a brother who has an estate he invites her to start her business there. She teams up with the estate groundskeeper Killian and soon she has more leaps of faith to take.
Great read and good to catch up with the previous characters.

I absolutely love Jessica's books. Revisiting The Lake District with Jessica's character is like a breath of fresh air...(if you know, you know 😜) But really this is exactly how it feels. The descriptions of the scenery is so amazing I can close my eyes and feel as though I'm standing there in the field or barn or playing with Emma's niece, absolutely amazing.

There are a few shocking moments in this story about half way through but what happens after those moments is just perfect.

Emma I find really relatable, she is such a beautiful soul and deserves better but like me, she wouldn't be who she is with the passion and kindness if she hadn't gone through what she has.

Oh my gosh I adored Killian, I think he maybe a new Book boyfriend to add to my long list haha.

This book is such a beautiful reminder of taking the bull by the horns. Emma is a fabulous character and has such a tough time but doesn't let the past get in her way.

What can I say other than I loved this one??
I was so excited when I saw this one, hoping it picked up where it left off. Which it did, with a fantastic prologue which just reminds you exactly where we were when we left Willowdale Hall.
The story then moves on to different characters, but don’t worry, you will soon see how everyone ties in together.
You will fall in love with Emma and Killian and everyone else in this book (well nearly everyone, maybe not Grayson!)
It’s certainly one that you really want to keep reading, but don’t want to finish.
Yes, you could argue it’s a little predictable in places, but it’s a lovely feel good read. Full of new chances, new friends, new family as well as a fantastic bunch of alpacas!!
Be prepared to loose some sleep or clear your schedule so you can whizz through this lovely read.

I love Jessica Redland books, and I loved the previous two books in this series (The Start of Something Wonderful and A Breath of Fresh Air), so I was excited to get started on The Best Is Yet To Come. I was not disappointed!

This book follows Emma, as she starts on a new adventure after being a teacher for many years. I really liked Emma, she is kind and resilient.

I loved reading this book, and devoured it over two days (sadly I had to stop to sleep). I loved the alpacas, they were adorable. I loved all their different personalities too.

I loved being back at Willowdale Hall and I can’t wait to see more of how that develops over the coming books in the series. It’s such a brilliant setting, with the old house, the lake, and the surrounding countryside.

It was lovely to see some of the characters from the previous books, and find out how they’re getting on. I loved the continuing storyline with Oliver finding out who his father is.

Overall, this was another wonderful story in a great series. I highly recommend it.

Jessica Redland can do no wrong. Everyone of her books transports you to that location. I feel like I'm doing a site seeing tour of the UK with her books.

Her stories are always perfection. Family ,friends and love. A sense of community in the books. This book is no different.

The romantic relationship is in the second half of the book but before then you see different types of relationships. Best friends, family and a support network. Emma grows to know herself and follow her dreams.

I love books like this. No silly misunderstandings etc. Couples who communicate etc.

This was such a cute read. It was easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. I couldn't put it down and kept reading until the end. I look forward to reading more by the author. I highly recommend it.

Jessica Redland does it again! This was a wonderful story full of Alpaca's. This is book three in a series and I love the direction the author is taking these books in - I'm here for all 15, please let that be true. I love the setting and I love how we keep checking in with previous characters. Each main character goes on a fantastic transformational journey, and of course finds love along the way. I found the romance super sweet and the restoration of family relationships. Have I mentioned that there are alpacas? I loved the magnificent seven and have already googled to see if there are any alpaca close to me to see.

We return to Willowdale Hall, this time to hear Emma's story.
When Emma's relationship comes to a dramatic end, she decides to continue her new dream to start an alpaca walking business.
As ever with Redland's books, problems are solved in an instant, new friends and family pop up and dreams come true.
A nice bit of escapism

This is the third book in The lake district series by Jessica redland and continues the stories of the charecters as well as adding new ones.
Emma and her fiance Grayson have been accepted to tennent one of Beatrix potters farms in the lake district so emma ends her long carier being a teacher to help her partner with the farm.
Things do go so great as Grayson doesnt like Emma helping him so Emma decides a project of her own would help and decide to look into alpaca walking project.
Grayson doesn't want anything to do with that either. Aswell as revelling he doesnt want to part as Emma's life anymore.

Oliver is the owner of willowdale hall and finds out that Emma's dad used to be his teacher and is actually his dad aswell.
After her dad introduces them they get on well and rosie Olivers partner offers some land on the estate so emma can start her alpaca buisness now she has no home or work.
Emma and the estates handy man find out they share simlar experiences and get on well. Emma even reveles her past break up with her husband to him which she hasn't done with anyone and they become close.

I have never read a book by this author before, so although this book is the third in a series, I read it as a standalone. It works, and now I want to read the first two books in the series. I loved the setting, and the alpacas. One question: who looked after the alpacas when Emma was away for the weekend? It wasn't mentioned. The romance wasn't the focus of the book, which was refreshing. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A gentle and oh so cute romance. Emma and Killian are lovely, they both come to the story with baggage and the first quarter of the book is all Emma and her heartbreak. This set up the sympathy for her and we discover slowly what is holding Killian back. The highlight of the book is the alpacas and as Emma learns about them so did i! The soft fur and fighting for their care helps Emma grow and open up as does the cuddles they give others. This is a beautiful series that is gentle and like being given a caring hug.

Just finished this book and now I have a book hangover ,just can't get into another book, probably because my head is still in this one.
I think Jessica Redland has become my favourite author.
Her books are relaxing and easy to read and let you escape from all the bad news in the media which seems to get worse every day.
The word in this book is Alpacas,and now I want to go Alpaca walking. Emma,the main character is lovely and has had a very raw deal with the partners she has had.
Luckily she has a lovely family and great best friend and things are looking up for her. I'm not going to give spoilers away as I've seen reviews that practically tell the whole story.
Absolutely lovely read and the cliffhanger ending in the previous book led seamlessly into this story. I would have liked to have seen more interaction between Oliver and Emma as it only seemed to have been squeezed in near the end.

Another amazing book by Jessica Redland full of emotions and a love story set in. Beautiful setting.

Couldn’t be happier

I love Emma and her alpacas. They always made me smile when they popped up on the pages. Jillian is just the sweetest. There is so much heart and soul to this book. There were a lot of passages in the book that really resignated with me. It’s a very thought provoking story. It really delves into relationships, both those with one’s parents and with a significant other. I truly enjoyed reading this. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. I’ve read, and loved, many of Jessica Redland’s previous books but I’m ashamed to say that the escape to the lakes series has passed me by until now. However., after reading the aptly titled The Best is Yet to Come all that will change. I loved this tale of new beginnings, healing and love in all its forms and the alpacas were an added bonus. I loved Emma and Killian but my favourite character was Emma’s dad who was brave and forgiving. Can’t wait to catch up with the series but also looking forward to catch ups with the magnificent seven in later books.

If my maths is correct, which to be honest is very rare, I think this is my 13th Jessica Redland book, and all of them have come from being sent early ARCs to read, and I am so grateful for that as she is now one of my absolute go-to authors now for feel-good, uplifting stories.

I have loved this series, mainly because I love the Lake District, and she's managed to infuse each page with the wonder and splendour that the Lakes offer. But also the characters have been lovely and the plots interesting.

I enjoy that they've all been sent in the same area, and so whilst each story focusses on a different one or two character, we do get to see the others in the background throughout the series, which is nice. It really hammers home that sense of community.

It can be read as a standalone book, but personally I think you get more out of it if you read the whole series from the start, as you begin to invest in everyone and everything.

I really liked Emma as a main character, she was hardworking, passionate, and selfless. Whereas Grayson was rude and selfish and obnoxious and I disliked him straight away. He gave off his negative energy that everyone was beneath him, when in fact Emma was far better without him.

Whenever you look at the book prize lists, they're always full of literary fiction, books that have a moral, books that may be quite difficult to read (I know this is a generalisation and it's not necessarily a bad one, just an observation), but rarely, if ever, do you see books like Jessica's, romance, uplifting, happily-ever-after types, and I think that's a shame because her books are as worthy as any other. Her books, and this is no different, are so uplifting, they're about friends and community, family and love, hope and joy.

There are some difficult subject matters, such as career changes, relationship issues, affairs, breakups, potential verbal abuse, family dynamic problems, illness, bereavement, trust and the lack of it etc. but it all works within the context of this uplifting story.

It's bizarre, it's very much not a festive book, but there were bits about it that put me in that frame of mind, that whole curling up under the covers with a hot chocolate whilst it rains outside, that kind of thing, which bizarrely really put me in this cosy wintery mood and warmed me right up.

Jessica has a talent for ensuring that no matter what the reader might be going through or feeling at the time, they will always feel warm and uplifted by the end of her story, and that's exactly what she's done here.

I'm so happy to see in her acknowledgements that Jessica plans to write a whole lot more stories set in this series, which I am so glad of as I'm not quite ready to leave this wonderful family she has created.

I had impatiently waited for this book after the cliffhanger of book 2. That was resolved in the first couple of pages and then the story took a different turn which confused me at first. Once the connection was clear it all made sense. I love all of Jessica's books. This eventually ended up being no exception. I hope there's more of this series to come.

I absolutely loved this. New and old characters. As with all Jessica 's books you learn things emotionally and practically. I think it is her best to date. I could not stop reading it. You follow Emma's story and gosh there were some ups and downs. Love the alpaca part and getting to know her father again. A must read. Could read as a stand alone . Brilliant Jessica.

A lovely story added to this series. It stands fine by itself as well. I enjoyed the story of love and moving on, with great characters and a perfect setting.
