Audiobook Review
4.5 stars

I want me a broody swoony Brady.
The smexy scenes between Brady and Lily are squirmy in your seat h0t!
The story was very interesting and kept me engaged. So much I listened in pretty much one seating. I’d just say that the ending of their problem was a bit lacklustre. I was expecting something else/more I’m not sure but the morally grey aspect was superb!!
Tor Thom and Ava Erickson did a brilliant job. I do love the way Tor’s f word comes out…

This series just keeps getting spicier and better! The spice level is hot, hot, hot and oh so yummy! The dual narration with both male and female narrators actually heat the spice up. Brady Spade is all alpha male with a dark and growly demeanor and when you have a male narrator that can bring that growly personality to life, it makes the book and characters that much more intense and enjoyable. However, the book isn't just spice. There is a suspenseful plot that keeps you on the edge of the seat wondering when Lily's vengeful, stalker ex is going to strike again. Once again, Marni Mann has hit it out of the park with a wonderful plot, great characters, incredible spice and hours of entertainment! I can't wait to visit the Spade/Cole family soon or even the Dalton family as this is a spinoff of the Dalton series. Both are worth the price to read or listen too if you are like me and love a good audiobook. I can't wait for more!

The Sinner is the 3rd book in the Spade brothers series and follows Brady Spade. He’s the protective billionaire alpha and she’s a demure flight attendant who’s running from something. Marni combines sexy with suspense! I devoured this in one day. Definitely the perfect spicy read with a bit of unexpected darkness!

The Sinner was my first Marni Mann book. It is the third book in the Spade Hotel series and tells the story of Brad and Lily. I listened to the audiobook version. Both narrators were good and made it easy to get into the story.

~~What I liked~~
-The storyline was interesting and it was an easy read.
-After a rough start, the MMC Brad turned out to be a sweet, thoughtful, and caring guy.
-I enjoyed the hard-to-get nature of Lily, even if the reason behind it wasn't happy.
-Lily and Brad get their HEA.

~~What I didn't like~~
-The book starts out hot and heavy in the lust department. I mean, insta-lust and not being shy about it. It was a bit much for me and then I struggled to see what the relationship was built on after their one night of lust.
-This was a book in a series, and apparently there is a second related series. As I had not read the first books in the series, I could tell that I was missing something. There were too many other people being thrown around with too quick of backstories being told. I understand why authors do this and yes, I was able to finish the book with no problems, but I feel like there was excessive 'supporting and interconnected' characters being represented in the book. More a me problem, I guess.
-I did not care for the way Lily's mysterious 'problem' was ultimately handled.

Overall, I liked this book but don't think I would recommend. I don't think I'll be reading any other books by this author, but maybe I just didn't get her best work? I did enjoy the dual narration of the audiobook, so if you are going to read it, the audiobook was good.

Excuse me? Where do I find myself a Brady because goshdarn! This story focuses on Brady Spade and Lily a steward. They met in a plane and hit it off straight away. I love how Lily’s character is hesitant while Brady was used to getting away with everything until things change for him.

The book was spicy! So be aware of this. Specially if you’re listening to the audio *wink wink*

A solid 4 out of 5!

Okay I need a moment... I'm still drooling 🤤, well Brady... Where are you? Still in Edinburgh? Don't worry, I'm coming for the RARE event in September 😉

In all seriousness, this book, well I already knew it would be hot and spicy, but damn Marni Mann... you continue to surprise me with every book and I absolutely love it.

This audiobook is narrated by Tor Thom and Ava Erickson and let me tell you right now that this duo is 🥵🥵🥵. Tor Thom was the perfect voice to bring Brady to life, deep and sexy voice. Ava Erickson also did a beautiful performance for Lily, a sweet and delicate voice, but also sexy. It was such a great audiobook.

Brady is the perfect Alpha Hero and with the Touch Her & Die vibes 🥵😮‍💨🫠. Don't make me choose one of the Spade brothers or Dalton brothers because it's so hard.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this book, because I was intrigued by Lily's character and her past, what she's been through. I'm totally in love with the Daltons and the Spades 🥰 those men are priceless and fantastic. I loved the banter between all of them.

It was a wonderful story, different from the last one but perfect and the spicy scene... phew so incredibly hot and damn good.

I highly recommend this book and the audiobook.

If you love Billionaire, One Night Stand, Touch Her & Die then don't hesitate and go get them.

They meet on a plane and Brady is obsessed right from the start. He does that typical millionaire thing where he uses his money to try and impress her, but what I liked was she didn’t do that thing where these people refuse help/money/gifts because of… I don’t know… pride or something. That would not be me. I’d be like, you’re a millionaire/billionaire so you can afford to buy me a car. Thank you. Do you know how much a billion dollars is?? It’s SO MUCH MONEY!! Anyway, I’ve gone off on a tangent.

The narrators were good and the MC was familiar from some other books I have enjoyed, so I’m sure that helped.

Thanks to #NetGallery and publisher for a copy of this book.

The Sinner is book 3 in the Spade Hotel series. It follows Brady Spade, who is the Sinner in every sense of the word.

The Sinner starts out with Brady having to fly to Scotland via first class on a commercial airline instead of on the company's private jet. He is frustrated that his brother had already booked the jet to take his girlfriend to Hawaii. However, the one benefit of flying commercial, is he can meet a gorgeous flight attendant that entrances him.

Lily is working as the first class flight attendant on Brady's flight. After flirting back and forth throughout the flight, she decides one night of sin would be a welcome reprieve from her life.

Several months later, they cross paths again, this time on Dominic's private jet where the boys are headed to Tampa for a boys night out and Lily is the flight attendant. After another night of sin, they fly home.

On another trip, Brady confronts Lily and she finally starts telling him why her life is so complicated. He immediately jumps in to Savior mode. He wants to keep her safe. But when her past is able to follow her and find her and begins threatening Brady and his family, all bets are off. The Sinner is back but in a different form.

He can't keep this from his brothers, as it could potentially affect them and their loved ones. So when he meets with them and tells them what is going on, all of them are on board to do what it takes to protect Lily at all costs. What an amazing family. No questions asked. Just pure support.

Brady finally makes the one phone call he was hoping to never have to make. He makes a deal with the devil. When the anticipated phone call is received, he makes sure to take the call in private. He does not want Lily touched by any of this nasty business. Words are said, and then the lights go out.

In the mean time, business progresses. The company purchases a new jet, possibly two, to accommodate the expanded company. The hotel in Scotland is nearly completed. Lily's past is finally put to rest and she can now move on with Brady. So what is in store for these two? Business as usual or marriage and a family? And will everything that has happened bond the Spades with their new business partners, the Coles? Only time will tell.

It is always a joy listening to both Ava Erickson and Tor Thom. Both embodied the emotions of their respective characters, as well as the supporting characters in this book.

i listened to this one on audio and thought both narrators did a fantastic job but unfortunately the story & plot fell
flat for me.

this one was pure insta love and i honestly could not really see the connection between the main character. the suspenseful plot line was good but i just don’t think i cared enough about it since the characters just felt a little bland for me. if you’re in the mood for spice and a quick read then i’d still recommend

Brady + Lily
This book was so well written and so so good! I had such a good time listening to it 😮‍💨

I enjoyed that this wasn’t just another book about a one night stand, but this had a storyline that kept you hooked until the very end.
Also a very grumpy and broody man being overly obsessed with a woman? YUM.

Oh, this story is HOT! It’s like spicy++. Smut on another level. Four out of five chilli peppers.

Now this is the fastest burn on the planet. And I was grinning to the gods throughout the beginning of the book cause WHAT THE HECK!? It’s tense and steamy and dark. I freaking loved it!

This is the most relatable sentence I’ve ever heard:
“I don’t know whether or not I want to kill you. Or if I am completely in love with you.”
Like? Girl! I get it!

This story is a complete standalone. Yes, it is part of a series. But you don’t need to read the other books to be able to understand this one. Which was a blessing.

Narrator feedback
I liked the female narrator. She threw a good amount of emotions in her narrating, which I liked a lot. And she had a nice voice to listen to, even at 1.25 speed.
The male one.. not so much I’m afraid. He was rather bland and monotone. Needed more emotions. I did like the depth of his voice though. Fitted the character nicely. Just wish there was more life in it.

These Spade boys! Despite all their protestations when they fall for the one, they fall hard and fast and Brady Spade was no different to his brothers especially when he spotted a blue eyed blonde across the airport. His anger at flying commercial soon turned to anticipation when he discovered his mystery woman was the attendant on his flight. One flirtation later despite it leading to a night that rocked his world, for once the next morning he was the one waking up to an empty bed after Lily made like Cinderella, leaving him in a post coital glow and he wouldn’t see her again for six months.

You’ve gotta love an arrogant, all alpha hero like Brady especially when he falls first and is made to eat his words. Commitment was a dirty word for him but when it came to Lily there were no lengths he wasn’t willing to go to claim her. There was so much steamy passion between them that I almost blushed in a couple of places, but Lily is a girl with a past that has her on the run, always looking over her shoulder and the last thing she wants is to endanger Brady or any of his family. I love this author’s style. The writing is first class with a fantastic flow to it, with absorbing storylines to balance out the steamy romance, and honestly, for me she’s outdone herself with the plot of The Sinner building the tension and putting Brady and Lily’s relationship under pressure before reaching a gripping conclusion. The passion and lust between them was palpable and to round out the story was the fabulous familial relationships that allow for the participation of characters from other series. Definitely five stars from this reader.

I’ve read the book and loved it but together these narrators' breathed life into the characters of Brady and Lily. I’ve listened to Tor Thom and Ava Erickson performing separately but together they produced a seamless performance which just reinforced why I know if I see their names on an audiobook, I’m in for an amazing listening experience.

Marni Mann has a formula, this books follows it, and it always works.
Alpha billionaire egregious playboy changes his ways instantly and rescues damsel in distress. Add in a few minor tropes and a huge helping of spice and you'll end up with a hot and interesting story.
This round you get a touch of danger and mystery added in. The MFC has a dangerous ex she's been running from. I made it through this story in just a few days despite a busy schedule otherwise. The heat alone kept me coming back.

I love both narrators and they really add to the story.

The spice was absolutely amazing in this, like right off bat we were getting hot & heavy 😮‍💨😮‍💨. I also love a flight-attendant romance plot since I feel like we don’t see as many of those. I enjoyed the tension that Lily’s past brought, but just didn’t really vibe with the actual plot; it fell through for me here 😕 I found myself a bit bored if I’m being honest

I do think Tor Thom & Ava Erickson did an amazing job narrating this one! Tor’s voice doesn’t even sound real to me & just does things to me 🤪

Oh lord this book is spicy. Brady is a billionaire hotel chain owner, and perpetual bachelor, in fact he only does one night stands. Lily is a flight attendant who is definitely hiding something. And one night couldn’t possibly be enough. There is no slow burn in this one. They are positively incendiary.

I listened to this one, and Ava Erickson and Tor Thom are magnificent. This book features wonderfully grumpy and sunshine MCs, is deliciously dirty, and caused me to wonder if I’ve been drinking wine wrong this whole time (IYKYK). And because Brady and Ava are being haunted by her past, (hunted?) There’s also a lot of tension and mystery surrounding Lily’s past, and Marni Mann does an excellent job building up that suspense. This is book can be read on its own, but it is part of an interconnected series. And you should DEFINITELY check out the rest of the series.

THIS. MAN. 😮‍💨 The way that Brady literally goes to the end of the earth and back for Lily, I CANNOT. I love them so much. Marni’s men just get more and more delicious with each book. I’ve said it multiple times and I’ll say it here again, no one rights spice like Marni. It is so toe-curling hot. I really enjoyed the suspense elements of this book, it added so much depth to the plot and I ate it up. If Marni writes it, I’m going to read it either way but the Spade series has me hooked. 5/5 stars!

The Sinner by Marni Mann is book 3 in the Spade Hotel series. I have not listened or read the other 2 books in this series however, this one can be read as a stand alone book. Brady Spade is the only one left out of his brothers and friends to settle down. He is not that kind of guy until he meets Lily the first class flight attendant on his flight to Scotland. Once Brady gets his mind on something on his mind he does not give up. He wants Lily in his bed for one night and one night only. Six months later Brady is on a private jet his his brothers and friends on their way to Tampa for some fun. To Brady's surprise the flight attendant on this flight is Lily. He hasn't seen her since she left a note and his bed before he woke up. Is this the one woman that will make Brady forget all of his own rules?

The Sinner is the third book in the Spade Hotel romance series. Lily is trying to outrun her last and has been spending as much time in the air as possible as a flight attendant. When she meets Brady Spade on a flight there is instant chemistry, but it can only ever be a one night thing. The demons in her past will get in the way if something goes farther, but when Brady and Lily meet again there is no keeping them apart. Brady has finally found the one he’s been looking for in Lily and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even take on her crazy and controlling ex. Will Brady and Lily be able to make their relationship work? And how will they escape Lily’s last to find that elusive happily ever after?

I am always a fan of Marni Mann’s work and I enjoy the Spade Hotel series, but the more I’ve been reading this type of book lately the more I’m not in the mods for it. As always, the writing and storytelling in this book was great and so were the characters. This romance is full of spicy scenes and great for somebody looking for that, which used to be me but lately I want something with a little more substance and less spice. The storyline in this book was well laid out and executed, but I am not a huge fan of the domineering ex trope and wished this story would have played out differently. Overall this was a good romance read with lots of spice and would be perfect for someone looking for that. If you are a fan of Marni Mann’s other work this book hits the mark and is worth picking up.

3.5 stars!

A perfect combination of spice, suspense and an alpha "touch-her-and-die" billionaire MMC. 🔥

Love Ava Erickson as the female narrator, Tor Thom was great for the male narration but his reading of the FMC parts was a tiny bit cringey.

I actually listened to this without listening/reading the rest of the Spade Hotel series, so it definitely works as a standalone but I'm intrigued by the rest of the characters enough to want to go back and read their stories!
