Brady Spade, the eldest and grumpiest of the brothers, finds his life turned upside down when he meets Lily. Running from a troubled past, Lily captures Brady's attention from the moment he lays eyes on her. Driven by an overwhelming obsession, Brady sets out to protect and possess her.

Mann portrays Brady's intense feelings, capturing the raw emotions and complexities of an obsessed man. His protectiveness and unwavering determination to keep Lily safe are both alluring and unsettling.

Lily, on the other hand, is a complex and well-developed character. Her vulnerability and resilience make her both relatable and sympathetic. As she navigates the challenges of her past, Brady becomes her unwavering support, offering her a sense of security and belonging.

The chemistry between Brady and Lily is undeniable. Their interactions are both passionate and tender, creating a palpable tension that will leave you sweating. Marni's writing is both sexy and evocative, capturing the intimate moments between the Brady and Lily.

Beyond the central romance, 'The Sinner' also delves into themes of redemption and forgiveness. Brady's past actions weigh heavily on him, but his love for Lily gives him the strength to confront his demons and seek atonement.

The narrators both did an amazing job bringing to live the main characters. Overall, Marni Mann's 'The Sinner' is an emotionally charged read that will keep you captivated from beginning to end. With its well-developed characters, intense chemistry, and spicy scenes, this novel is a must-read for fans of touch her and die, millionaire mmc, a bit of suspense and sexy talk.

Let me tell you this book, pure perfection. The audio also flawless!

This story follows Brady, and Lilly. They briefly meet in passing and immediately there is sparks. Lilly has a pretty traumatic last history which adds a level of suspense to this book.

Brady is one of my top book boyfriends officially, he is the COMMUNICATION KING. One of my favorite parts of this book was the strong form of communication between them.

I loved seeing Lilly find her worth, and how Brady complements and supports her perfectly. As always the spice is unmatched, and the connections between the Spades and the Daltons series is also amazing.

All the praise for Marni, and hats off to Ava Erickson & Tor Thom for bringing these characters to life in the audio, I was melting. 🫠

“Because I never felt more beautiful or more wanted than when Brady was looking at me.”

“I'm turning you into the sinner...
I was one long before you,
baby.”

“I don't know whether I want to kill you or if I'm completely in love with you.”

“There was no one in this world I would beg for. That I would get on my fucking knees for. But her.”

Book three in the Spade Hotel series- which is a spinoff of The Dalton Family, which spun off from The Agency...
Works as a stand alone, but characters from the other books do appear as minor characters
Format- Audiobook- listening speed 1.5
Dual POV

Brady Spade is a one and done kind of guy. No repeats when it comes to women. Then he sees Lily in the airport. He is instantly attracted. Once boarding the plan, he finds out she happens to be the flight attendant assigned to him. They have his one night, but he can't stop thinking about her. He wants to break all of his rules. But Lily's life is being controlled by a crazy ex and she is not willing to risk another person she cares about getting hurt.

I enjoyed this more and more as the book went on. But, it started rough for me. I can usually ignore the misogynistic alpha male in the beginning, but it was harder this time. Part of the problem, I think, was the audiobook narrator for Brady. Tor Thom narrates Brady's POV and he is not my favorite. He comes off so arrogant. I hated Brady. Brady got better but the narration still killed me. (Though, as I said, Tor Thom is not my favorite for spicy romance. Just a personal preference.)

I did like how Brady evolved through the story. I liked that there wasn't a third act breakup.

Ava Erickson narrates Lily's POV and does wonderful as always. I usually complain when only one narrator is used for dual POV books. This is the first exception. I wish Ava Erickson had narrated the whole thing.

I received an advance audio book in exchange for an honest review.

Had a little suspense plot that I was not expecting and was executed in such a dramatic ending. Big alpha protector vibes and very spicy scenes. A great quick read.

I’d give this 6 stars if I could. I loved every moment of Lily and Brady. As always, the spice was SPICING. But the suspense in this one kept me hooked. I needed to know what was happening with Lily and watching Brady seamlessly step into this protective and loving man for her was just too much fun to put down.

I listened to this on audio. Tor and Ava do a phenomenal job as Brady and Lily. They both bring all of the emotion to their characters and I love them even more a second time. I will listen to this over and over and over again as a comfort listen.

This is my first time reading this author and phew I definitely need to read her backlist because this was smoking hot!

I loved everything about this: the hot hook-up, billionaire alpha, protective hero, heroine in danger, and a man who treats his woman like a queen. It had everything I could want in a steamy romantic suspense. Brady and Lily had out-of-this-world chemistry that developed into love. I really liked how Mann wrote their relationship. Brady may be an alpha type but he's not controlling. He was the perfect kind of alpha male. I also liked Lily a lot. She has a tragic backstory so she has a hard time trusting people but she slowly finds safety in her relationship with Brady which I thought was really sweet. Brady & Lily were sweet & hot.

Narrators Ava Erickson & Tor Thom knocked it out of the park with this one! Their voices captured Brady & Lily perfectly.

A truly awesome book that I will be recommending to everyone!

The Sinner is the third book of the Spade Hotels series of interconnected standalones. Another great read by Marni Mann! I couldn’t wait for Brady’s story and boy was it worth the wait! Brady is happy having a new woman every night. That is until he meets Lily and shares a night with her. He can’t stop thinking about her. And when he sees her again six months later he vows to not let her go. But Lily’s ex refuses to let her go also. I love how protective Brady is of Lily and he will do anything to protect her and keep her safe. These two had chemistry from the beginning and are open with each other. I am loving this series and can’t wait for more of it!

I listened to the audiobook of this and Tor Thom and Ava Erickson both did an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. I could feel their emotions and they made this story even more enjoyable.

Another satisfying Spade Hotel novel in the Dalton brothers universe. This super SPICY dual POV billionaire romance between Brady and flight attendant Lily who has a dark past she's trying to run from. I loved the he falls first, touch her and die vibe of this book and the way the author does a great job depicting how scary an emotionally abusive, stalker ex can be. Great on audio and perfect for fans of Meghan Quinn. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
