A practical habit journal to help you start, stop, or change behaviors through tracking. More than just a tracker, the author provides information that helps you understand why and how it’s important to create habits, and tips to help you through the process.

This is a basic journal tracker that gives some information about how to be successful with ingraining habits and then has daily and weekly check ins. It is rather psychology based and pretty standard. It is entirely in black and white with no illustrations or design, so it’s better suited to someone who wants just a basic check in.

I read a digital ARC of this book for review.

The Easy Habits Journal by Psychologist Dr. Hayden Finch is a self-help workbook intended to help individuals build new good habits and break old bad ones. Dr. Finch uses habit trackers, writing prompts and psychoeducation for readers to use as they work through this book over the course of 12 weeks.

As a therapist and human being who also is on a self-improvement journey, I am drawn to books like this because they are potential tools for myself and possibly my clients as well. Overall this is a solid workbook. It delivers research-based information about building habits, motivation, and goals. It’s not too lengthy but is long enough to feel substantial and not just like a tracker. For those that enjoy journaling, it includes a daily tracker and writing prompts to explore what’s important to you.

You track your habit everyday, evaluate it . It is like having therapy sessions with the doctor herself. It's a step by step approach to help you get new habits and stick to them to live better emotionally, socially speaking. The approach makes you reflect at the end of each week on your habit journey and this self evaluating approach can only help go further to reach our goal(s).
It will be nice to have a similar habit journal for young people !

Excited to try the techniques over the next 12 weeks. I appreciated the length of part 1 and the resources towards the end of the book.
