This was a good book! Was it her best book? Not even close. It had a good story line but I feel as though the entire book was almost rushed? Tegan immediately was terrified and made assumptions too quickly without evidence. I enjoyed reading it, I just wish it developed a little differently. I also thought there was real climatic excitement. It was all very anticlimactic. Overall, I rated this book 3/5 stars.

Frieda has done it once again. I was lucky enough to receive and ARC of this and read it in one setting. The characters drew me in from the beginning and left me wanting more each chapter. The twists and turns kept me guessing. The ending left me in awe. My first 5 star read of 2025.

I absolutely could not put this down. I was fully involved with this. Loved it! Freida Mcfadden has done it yet again!

Instant 4.5 stars — this book kept me on my toes. There was so much happening with the dual perspectives. Though both characters really were terrible and made me so angry, I couldn’t stop reading. Super fast paced read and full of the typical twists and turns from Frieda. I did guess one of the twists, but it didn’t ruin the story for me. I will say out of the books I’ve read from her, this isn’t my favorite. It’s less psychological thriller, more horror given the kidnapping. But I thoroughly enjoyed it!

(ARC review) Wow wow wow. First and foremost I HOPE this will turn into a movie. This is honestly my favorite Freida ending yet. Yes even what happened to Mitch(I said what I said io)
There was so many twists and turns and things that I did NOT see coming. I found myself getting so frustrated whenever Teagan thought everything was Hanks doing, when in reality he's a big ole teddy bear!
I can not recommend this one enough! So excited to get my physical copy too

🙏Thank you to Mandy Chahal with PoisonedPenpress and of course
Freida McFadden for the ARC of The Crash.
The Crash was definitely 4.5 out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me.
I am a big Freida fan but I don't think I have ever finished a book in 24 hours until this one. I admit I have not read all of Freida's Books ( the ones I have read are The Locked Door, The Teacher, The Housemaid Series and The Boyfriend). I think this is my favorite one I have read so far.
Let's be honest, Freida's books are super easy reads, fast-paced, popcorn thriller books and this one did not disappoint. It had twists and turns that I didn't see coming and I did not predict the ending ( unlike the Boyfriend). You don't know which characters you should like or suspect, and it keeps you questioning everything going on in those pages as they fly by!

ARC provided by Poisoned Pen Press in exchange for an honest review.
Freida McFadden has outdone herself with The Crash, and without a doubt, this is my favorite book of hers to date. As someone who has followed her work for a while, I can confidently say that this one takes the cake. From the very first page, McFadden draws you into an unforgettable psychological thriller that will have you questioning everything and everyone around you.
The plot is fast-paced and unpredictable, a true testament to McFadden’s talent for weaving suspenseful, twisting narratives. What I love most about The Crash is how expertly McFadden keeps you on your toes—each twist feels earned, never contrived. The pacing is perfect, with just the right balance of tension and revelation. By the time the final twist is revealed, you’ll be reeling, stunned by the complexity of the story.
The characters are intricately developed, and McFadden has an uncanny ability to make you both sympathize with and distrust them in equal measure. The emotional depth of the story is what really sets it apart. Every page is drenched in atmosphere and tension, and the more you read, the more the mystery unfolds, layer by layer. I found myself constantly questioning who was telling the truth, what motives lurked beneath the surface, and what secrets were yet to be uncovered.
As a huge fan of psychological thrillers, The Crash hit all the right notes for me. It is, without a doubt, my favorite Freida McFadden book. This gripping story stays with you long after you’ve finished reading, making it impossible to put down once you’ve started.
Poison Pen Press has done an excellent job bringing McFadden’s vision to life, and this book is proof that they know how to deliver high-quality thrillers. If you enjoy twisty, dark, and emotionally charged stories, The Crash is an absolute must-read. It’s a true masterpiece of the genre, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Holy Crap!! Freida once again you out do yourself each and every time I read a new book of yours. This makes number 14 of yours I have read since I found you! And this one is now officially ranked my favorite!
This one had me on the edge of my seat, heart racing, I was STRESSED. I was worried for the characters and I couldn’t put it down. This book goes far beyond five stars.
I absolutely loved and hated the characters, the plot twist was not what I was expecting at all for ANY of them. They just kept coming. This book was phenomenal!! I full on cheered at the end of it, it was a wonderful book to read and I enjoyed every minute of reading it. This one definitely had me squirming at tense moments! I love books that can give me the very surreal feeling of being in whatever I’m reading, it’s like I’m right there in the room with these characters and ooh do some of them make me angry.
I full heartedly recommend this book to Freida fan, and beyond!
I’m so so grateful I got a chance to have the ARC of this book! Thank you Frieda for another wonderful, fun read!

This book had me on the edge of my seat! it was so fast paced and so good i couldn’t put it down. so thankful for the chance to read it!

I always love that I never know where Freida’s books are going! I think I have it figured out and she always has me fooled! This was a great read as always however I did get a tad antsy around 65-75%. I felt like there was no way it could go on the way it was and then finally “it” happened. I loved the wrap up at the end. A little different than her work I’ve previously read but of course in a good way. 3.75/5 star read for me for sure. Thank you Freida and Poisoned Pen Press for the chance to read this early!

Another twisty read from Freida! A fun ride with interesting characters and a plot twist i didn't see coming!

I enjoyed this new Frieda book, it kept me wanting to know more every time I picked it up. In true Frieda fashion, there is a twist but my 4/5 stars is due to the twist not being as twisted as some of her other books. This one seemed a little more tame than the others but it was still great and I would recommend.
I received this early copy of The Crash from NetGalley.

I read this book in a day and a half, I couldn't stop. With each twist came another page that I needed to turn.
I WAS NOT expecting the ending.
My only critic is that there seems to be a lot happening in each day that made me question the timeline for a second but it didn't prevent me from turning to the next page.

If you love Freida’s books you will love her latest.
I was engaged the whole way through.
The book was suspenseful and had many twists!
She is the queen for her twisty rides.
Loved getting to read from multiple characters point of view.
The epilogue had me yelling, WHAT?!!!
Many thanks to Poisoned Pen Press for the Advanced Readers copy

I received this as an ARC from Freida, Poisoned Pen Press, and Mandy and my. mouth. dropped.
I swore I knew what was coming next, I was wrong.
Every single time, wrong.
But, oh. so. good.
FREIDA, I DONT KNOW HOW YOU DO IT GORL BUT PLS KEEP DOIN IT

This book had me hooked from the beginning. Every time I thought I knew what was going on I was wrong. The twist in this book made my mouth drop open every time.

Fantastic book!! Couldn't put it down. Had to find out what was going to happen. Stayed home all day to read this book. Would've liked to have stretched it out but couldn't stop reading so I finished it in a couple of days.

Freida does it again! Another great twisty thriller! I was hooked from the beginning and finished the book in two days. 5 stars!

Tegan a twenty - three year old, eight and half months pregnant by a rich business man, whom she had never met, is now in negotiations for a vast deal of money to never disclose that he is the father. Jackson is the lawyer for this jerk, handling Tegan to get this non disclosure settled. After an explosive argument, being so upset, her brother a ski instructor tells her to come to him to be taken care of for the remainder of her pregnancy and she does need some help! She takes off late at night in a snow storm to visit her brother, but her dilapidated car is a danger in itself, much less her poor decisions, didn't she Google for the weather conditions? She has no food, no water, no extra blankets, when the crash happens, she doesn't make certain that she has her phone, or her Pepper Spray, poor decisions, she takes a dark, isolated, back road instead of the main heavily traveled road! Then, being rescued, is when the troubles begin! There are suspenseful moments that you see coming and some you don't. This is not a page turner, scary ,keep you up at night story, it is a psychological thriller, and there is a difference. Due to not revealing spoilers, I can't say what I would like about the couple who rescue her. I tried to give it a 3.5
Thank you #Netgalley, #TheCrash, FriedaMcFadden, #PoisonedPenPress

Frieda did it an again. This is quick read because you aren’t going to put it down. The twist in the book keep it interesting and you want to know what happens to Teagan.
