Frieda nails it again! The Crash had more twists than I was ready for and was shocked when each was revealed. Each page kept me guessing as to what the characters were going to expose next. The ending was fantastic and I did not see it coming.

Thank you, #NetGalley #FreidaMcFadden and #PoisonedPenPress for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of The Crash.

Love a quick Frieda read! I really enjoyed this book overall despite the whiny/moronic main character. The twist in this book was easy to predict unlike many of her others. Anyone who loves Frieda and her writing, will enjoy this book.

I have read 14 other Freida McFadden books. I adore her work and love that I can never correctly guess the endings to her book. My jaw has dropped to the floor several times at twists in her stories.

I was grateful to have been chosen to receive an ARC copy of The Crash. This book (like most of her other books) is told through the eyes of several characters. Each chapter is quite short which makes it easy to take this book chapter by chapter. I will admit that it was a slow start to the book but, just like every other of her books, takes a twist about 3/4 of the way through. Once I got to that point of the book, I had to finish it.

This book is filled with relatable content and has a mix of joyous and sorrowful parts. There are many aspects of this book that readers could connect with.

Ultimately, I rated this a 4.5/5 stars. This book did not disappoint! As stated earlier, it felt slow at times and took me a little longer than usual to become hooked. But, the smaller chapters made this book manageable and easy to read.

ARC review: This book was different than a lot of Freida books! There are absolutely Freida fashion twists in the end, but you actually do know the end a little bit before it gets there. It makes the ending better! The way this one ends was different and I think that's what the fans will like! It could be considered a slower read for some. There is some repetition with certain statements, but its really nothing to lose your mind over. Overall, I just keep coming back to how different it is from her usual and that's really what made this a cool read for me. I enjoyed the story... even if I did want to punch a character or two for not saying what I would say in that moment. It's not really unrealistic because people are CRAZY, but it's easy to put yourself in her books and say what you would do in the situation. Some small plot holes, but it's really easy to miss them when you're thinking about how many people are going to read this and love it. That's why I give it 4 stars.

This is the first time I’ve been offered one of Freida’s ARC. I was looking forward to this one, but wasn’t sure what to expect, as I loved her books until the last two, and I was afraid I had outgrown the author. Happy to say I really enjoyed this one & am so thankful for the opportunity to read it early. I read it in one sitting. I liked that it was an original storyline & she did a great job at the balance between various character perspectives to allow the story to unfold. I liked the ending of the book & in true Freida style, there were several twists at the end.

Another epic read from Freida! Full of the usual twists and turns and the different character views are really well entwined! Highly recommended

Freida...girl, get some sleep! 😂 How in the world are you releasing banger after banger?

This book follows Tegan, who is 8 months pregnant. She is on a road trip during a blizzard and as the title predicts, there is a crash. As the story goes along you also get the pov of a woman named Polly.

All I can say about this book without giving something away is Tegan is in for an adventure.

I gave this book four stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The only reason this wasn't a five star read for me is because the middle was a little slow and repetitive. Plus, the use of the nickname Tuna in every other paragraph was more than enough for me. 🐟

Thanks to Freida and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC.

McFadden is back with another twisty psychological thriller. The Crash centers around Tegan who is eight months pregnant and looking for an escape from her life. When her brother suggests a visit, she immediately starts driving to his house. As the weather gets worse and the snow comes down harder, Tegan ends up stranded on the side of the road with a broken ankle and a crashed car. She will never get to her brother’s house…

Some of the characters in the story had unexpected redeeming qualities and all were fully developed. A fun, fast-paced read with surprises to the very end. I couldn’t put down The Crash.

Thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the ARC.

Lucky enough to get an AR of this and I was so tickled!!
As an avid reader I am always surprised when an author can hold my attention with each book(as some tend to blend together).
Freida's latest is a prime example of something that kept me guessing till the end! I kept telling myself "one more page, then bed" well I finished the book around 2:20am and have no regrets!
Twisty and exhilarating, just like a curvy mountain road you pray not to crash on.

I'm starting to figure out McFadden! I accurately predicted ALL of the twists this time, which I haven't really been able to do before. It was disturbing reading from Polly's point of view and learning her motivations. I enjoyed the ending, but it wasn't my favorite McFadden book.

This was a quick read, same as I usually find Freidas books. However, it was a different read than her usual I found, maybe it was the subject of the book or majority of the book being based in one location, I'm not really sure, but I did find the style was a little different. This book kept me guessing throughout but it also felt dragged out at times. We really needed to leave that one location at times for a break of the repetition. Overall, it was a great quick read and what I would call a palette cleanser.

Another incredible book by Freida! She really is the master of unsuspecting twists! The dual perspectives of this book make the reader root for all the characters at some point.

As always, the twists and turns of this book took me by surprise. I was totally not expecting that major plot twist. The basement interactions were nerve wrecking. Polly was a very frustrating character that needed a lot of professional help and Hank needed more of a back bone in my perspective. Overall a great Thriller that kept me on edge.

First and foremost, thank you Freida for all the opportunities you give your readers for a chance to win ARC copies. I was honored to be one of the many McFans who received an advanced copy of “The Crash!”💥 Thank you and special shout to Mandy and Poisoned Pen Press as well for the opportunity. We love you all! 💕

This novel is highly anticipated and Frieda never misses the mark. Frieda has done it again, mind blown!

Meet Tegan, a young woman in her twenties who is pregnant. As most young mothers, she’s struggling. Money is tight, and her luck is wearing thin, but Tegan presses on and there are better days on the horizon. However, don’t let the smokescreen fool you, everything is not always as it appears. While down on her luck, Tegan sets out on the road, and a winter storm is rapidly approaching. Tegan is longing to visit her brother. However, before Tegan reaches her destination, she crashes! 💥Is there any hope for Tegan!? This novel is a story of hope, fear, and a mother’s heart.

In a novel that is full of smokescreens where nothing appears as it seems, and the people you think you know, you don’t. Another five-star read from Freida! Mind-blown! 🤯

Run! 🏃‍♀️ Preorder your copy now! Release date is January 28, 2025!

5/5 Stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Freida McFadden did it again. I FINALLY received an early copy of one of Freida's books! Totally started my morning off right! Freida McFadden has a knack for creating twists and turns you don't ever expect. I found "The Crash" to be riveting, un-put-downable. I was so interested in the story, that I forgot to think about or try to figure out the twist(s). This book is about a pregnant woman who crashes her car and is stranded when a couple comes to her rescue in the middle of a snowstorm. Is she safe? Are they going to hurt her? Does anyone even know she is missing? I am a fan of Freida McFadden and would recommend almost all of her books but this one is worth the wait...only I didn't have to wait :0)

I wasn’t sure about this one at first. It seemed different than some of her other books but man was I wrong. The ending got me.

True Frieda tale, but a bit more predictable than the others. I think she may have planned it that way though… Nothing special about this one, but per usual, a quick read that held my attention. Love you Frieda, but I think I need to pause on you for a bit. Binged too many at once.

This was a classic Freida book with all the same twists and turns. This is one of the first books where I semi figured out some twists that were coming. It was still enjoyable

A must-Read!! Very different than any Freida McFadden book that I’ve read. Always expect the unexpected with Freida’s book!
