The Crash is another great read by Freida McFadden that is packed full of twists and turns. As is McFaddens style you are convinced you know what is happening and what will happen as you read this book. However things don’t always work out in the way you think. I was hooked on this book from the very beginning and read it in two sittings. This was a difficult book to stop reading when you finished a chapter as every chapter I was like OMG I can’t stop here. I’m not rehashing the book description in my review as that can all be read in the book blurb. If you’re a fan of fast and twisty reads then I can highly recommend this one.

This story is an amazing roller coaster ride through the life of Tegan. She has everything against her, except the love of her supportive brother. She finds herself in another difficult situation and has no one to call on.
This book was captivating and had me hooked right from the start, I felt the depth of each character and I found myself in a love/ hate relationship with some of them!
I loved the ease of the writing but the twists you never saw were what made it so enjoyable and engaging.

The Crash was another great read by Freida McFadden! I have read all of her books and this one did not disappoint! I loved all the twists and turns and I read it in two days! This is definitely one of my favorites of hers! I just couldn’t put it down and was dying to know how it was going to end. Once again I thought I knew what was going to happen, but Freida fooled me again!
Thank you to NetGalley, Mandy Chahal and Poisened Pen Press for this ARC!

Diving into The Crash I was a bit skeptical at first. I feel like the twists lately have been anticlimactic, so was surprised when I didn’t see the twists in this one. For a little while in the middle I felt like the story became repetitive, but then it ironed out and I was able to stay immersed wondering what was next! I hope Freida keeps this approach with her future books!

So, as per usual, I finished this in less than 24 hours. I’m not sure what it is with her writing but I just cannot get enough of Freida! This was a perfect release just in time for winter. The snowy, (not so cozy) winter cabin vibes was such a good choice and fit this story perfectly. This book was giving a bit of No Exit /Misery vibes and I was ALL HERE FOR IT. Loved the multiple POVs throughout, and really enjoyed the few unexpected turns towards the end. I did enjoy the ending, but I didn’t find it to be as much of a WOW factor as her previous books.
PS: Little Tuna lives rent free in my head now.

5⭐️ this is easily a top 5 Freida book. I loved the whole thing. It was like the surrogate mother but definitely took a different twist to it. It kept me on my toes and I genuinely had no clue how it was going to go. The amount of times I sat up and gasped like WHAT was crazy. There were absolutely no loose ends and it was such a great put together winter thriller. (Glad the ending didn’t have a cliffhanger this time cause we know we ain’t getting a sequel lol.) Freida did it again and did not disappoint.

Wow! I finished this book in two days because I was determined to see if my theories were right. Some of them ended up being correct and the others the author did a great job of redirecting and surprising. But what’s nice is, the clues were there. I just didn’t put everything together until the ‘twist’ was revealed. As you all know, this author is extremely hit or miss for me. I thought this book was a hit. It was well written in that it had a good flow. The pacing could have been a bit stronger since some parts felt a little repetitive but I did also read it nonstop, so if broken up it might not have been so obnoxious at points. While the story is basic and can be predictable at times I didn’t let that bother me. Instead I just focused on the fact that this is a fictionalized story and maybe in this universe anything could happen. Thinking that way allowed me to enjoy the story because I was able to not overthink every little detail. Overall, I thought this story was solid. I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish.

Thank you Poisoned Press publishing, Freida McFadden and Mandy Chatham for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
“Tegan is eight months pregnant, alone, and desperately wants to put her crumbling life in the rearview mirror. So she hits the road, planning to stay with her brother until she can figure out her next move. But she doesn't realize she's heading straight into a blizzard.
She never arrives at her destination.
Stranded in rural Maine with a dead car and broken ankle, Tegan worries she's made a terrible mistake. Then a miracle occurs: she is rescued by a couple who offers her a room in their warm cabin until the snow clears.
But something isn't right. Tegan believed she was waiting out the storm, but as time ticks by, she comes to realize she is in grave danger. This safe haven isn't what she thought it was, and staying here may have been her most deadly mistake yet.
And now she must do whatever it takes to save herself—and her unborn child.”
Another twisty tale that leaves you on the edge of your seat! Once I started it I couldn’t put it down. So emotions involved it will probably make you want to scream and throw your phone, kindle, book maybe even your headphones. 5/5 she did it again!

Freida has done it again! I was hooked from the beginning and every page turn left me wondering what would happen next. It’s not as “twisty” as some of her other works, but it does keep you guessing and does still include a few surprises, which I’m a sucker for! You will not be able to put The Crash down.

This was an engaging and suspenseful read. There was a twist that I did not see coming. I have enjoyed reading other books by the author and this book did not disappoint! If someone is looking for a suspenseful thriller set in winter, then this book is for you! Can't wait to read another book by this author.

I’m pretty sure I stopped breathing with anticipation. This was WILD. In typical Freida fashion, I could not predict this no matter how hard I tried. Demolished this in one day because I simply NEEDED to know!

She did it again this book was very good and I never saw the ending coming! I highly recommend this book!

Freida has done it yet AGAIN! I could not put the dang book down. a TRUE page turner. I loved the different characters POV and truly found myself trying to catch my breath at times. Personally i think this was Freida’s scariest book yet (but that could be in part of finding the scenario Teagan was in truly TERRIFYING). It’s the perfect winter read and it’s a read i would suggest to anyone who’s currently in a reading slump.

One of the standout aspects of this book is McFadden's ability to weave intricate plot twists that keep you guessing until the very end. Just when you think you have it all figured out, another shocking revelation turns everything upside down.
Overall, *The Crash* is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers. Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pens Press for the ARC.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book! The book is told from two POVs, and was easy to follow along. The twist was not one I saw coming, which I loved. I did not like the repetitiveness from the main characters, and it kind of made me extremely frustrated. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this book if you are a Freida readah, and would give it 3.5/5.

When Tegan, eight months pregnant decides to visit her brother her life changes forever. She doesnt make it before the snow hits, and she gets in an accident. Hank finds her, and brings her to the home he shares with his nurse wife Polly. Polly keeps her hostage for days! Does the baby daddy find her? Why did she get in an accident to begin with? Does she live? Does the baby? And, what is with the neighbors? In this story told as only Freida McFadden can, we are ourselves held hostage as the tale unfolds!

I gave this book 5 stars! I was hooked from the beginning! I even went so far as to read this while working! As per usual because I am a huge fan of Freida's, I thought that I had correct theories about what was really happening. I was wrong. I did not find out until the end that I was way off. Freida is a master story teller and pulls out all the stops. She is very creative and sneaks in the real villian. You will not regret reading just make sure you have the time to do so or else you will find yourself sneaking!

This book was intense from start to finish. It was fast paced and definitely has you sitting on the edge of your seat. 4.5 stars, almost 5 for me except for one thing.

What's to really say? Freida is a genius when it comes to twists and turns. When you really are convinced you've figured it out, bam, you're wrong. Don't skip this new edition of twists and turns. You will be grateful that Freida has taken her writing full time! Thank you for another wonderful suspenseful thriller! Keep them coming!

Since I started reading McFadden I can't get enough! I highly recommend this book for those who want a fast paced thriller.
