This was a page-turner with some smaller twists, then a pretty big twist. I actually formed a new theory when one of the bigger twists came about, and I wish the reason for *spoiler* her attempted murder would have been due to the attempted killer's involvement in the pregnancy, though that would have made it pretty dark. I just think the motive would make so much more sense.
But overall, I liked the redemption arc, the character development, and the psychological terror of Tegan's kidnapping.
Freida McFadden writes great mysteries, and readers will be very satisfied with this one.

The Crash is a gripping, snowbound thriller that had me turning pages faster than ever. From the very first chapter, I was completely invested in Tegan’s desperate escape from multiple oppressors, and the tension only built from there.
The pacing was perfect—there was never a dull moment, yet the suspense was stretched just enough to keep me on edge. Tegan was a likable and compelling main character, and the dual points of view enhanced the storytelling, giving me a full picture of the unfolding nightmare.
McFadden’s signature writing style is all over this book, but I have to say, the ending was more satisfying than some of her previous titles. It was an enjoyable and well-executed read.
This was one of the best McFadden books I’ve read, and I flew through it in record time! Huge thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC—I’m so grateful to have been part of the early reader team for this one!

The book is pretty fast paced-thriller. The epilogue was great and brought me right in. I wish we could have seen some of the chapters in his view too. Great twists, some of them were easy to guess. I wanted to learn more about the lawyer and tegans brother. More on the relationship between him and Simon. Over all an easy and good read! I absolutely love your books.

{Early Reader copy} Crash by Freida McFadden is a heart-pounding, unputdownable thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The story centers around a pregnant woman who finds herself in a life-altering situation after a catastrophic car accident during a snow storm. In typical Freida fashion the story hooks you from page one. 👏🏻👏🏻

This book did not captivate me in the same way that some others have, yet I still found it an entertaining read. Each character possessed flaws that were somewhat irritating, but they didn't reach a level that made me want to discard the book. I have consistently enjoyed Freida's works, as they often feature a surprising twist at the conclusion that catches me off guard. Although I did not anticipate the twists in this particular story, I felt they were well-integrated into the narrative, making them less jarring. Was this my favorite book by Freida? No. Was it my least favorite? Also no.

I'm a big fan of Frieda's. Poor Tegan and her pregnancy brain. The twists are good, maybe even a little predictable. I found the most likable character to be Hank and quite frankly was more afraid of something happening to him than Tegan. Overall, enjoyed the story about a young lady who starts to vividly recall the night of her one night stand with a wealthy businessman. Tegan finds herself pregnant at 23 years old without much money or family for support. Things start to escalate when her brakes give out during a snow storm. Tegan begins to find herself in one precarious situation after another in The Crash.

Freida does it again!! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and couldn't figure out the plot twist. Highly recommend!

Wow, this was intense and I don't even care that it focused so heavily on pregnancy, In typical Freida fashion I was so sure I had the twists figured out and knew who the bad guy was and then she threw me for a loop. I finished this book in less than 24 hours, it was engaging throughout and not once did I find myself bored or skimming. Weirdly enough my favorite character was Hank, I couldn't stand Polly or Tegan for multiple reasons, even at the end. This is the perfect book to read when it's freezing and snowy outside, just make sure you're not going to drive anywhere.

This was my first real “suspense/thiller” novel that I have read, and for what it is I liked it. I tend to lean towards fantasy and dark romance, but I enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone for a bit with this one and would definitely like to read more of the author’s work..

Freida is back with another edge-of-your-seat thriller, THE CRASH, arriving January 28th!
McFaddens short chapters keep the pace incredibly fast and make it impossible to put the book down. I love the suspense and the constant wondering about what will happen next. The main characters in this book drove me crazy with all their misjudgments. There were definitely some unexpected twists, and one of them completely shocked me. The full truth never comes to light, but maybe that's for the best.
Freida has crafted yet another captivating suspense novel that will leave readers breathless. This is a book to savor alone, as the twists and turns will demand your undivided attention.

Oh, my. This is going to be a tough one.
Let me start by saying the easiest thing I have to say about this book. If you are a fan of Daniel Hurst but haven’t read any books by McF yet, what are you waiting for? You will love this one!
And now, the not-so-easy part.
The book has a very, very distinct McF voice. If you have read more than one book by her, you might know what I’m talking about here. You read a paragraph and you know that’s her. The way she uses words, and the way she constructs her sentences. It’s all there.
The storyline feels like a Temu version of Misery, and then it slowly morphs into The Shining, all while taking place in Maine and even referencing The Shining once in the text. To me, it looks like McF has created a tribute to Stephen King here—he lives in Maine, and the spirits of two of his books live in The Crash now.
The ending isn’t sugar-sweet. It’s stevia-sweet, and stevia is 200-400 times sweeter than sugar and I’m deadly allergic to stevia.
If I had to guess the book's title and the author, I’d say this one should be called The Misery Shining by Fred McFadden.
I know McF has a close to religious cult following. I know. I know she has allthefans and everyone loves her. But I guess it’s time I admit to myself that nope, this thing – me and McF’s books – this isn’t going to work, this isn’t going to happen. I want books that are MORE. That go deeper. I’m not interested in small talk and chitchat, and I’m not interested in simplified, watered-down Temu versions of other books I have read before.

I ate this book up! It’s got everything you could want in a dark romance. If you’re into spicy romance, this book is for you. Prefer a thriller instead, also for you. Are you Into murder mysteries, missing persons, or psychological thrillers? Yep, still got you covered!
"Hunting Pretty" by Sienna Blake is a dark, twisted ride that will have you questioning everyone! 😈 Ava's investigation into her missing friend throws her into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a mysterious stalker. The Shadow is everything I crave in a dark romance hero - possessive, dangerous, and utterly obsessed.
I’ve devoured a ton of dark romance novels, and I absolutely adore them. But there’s always this delightful twist - the spicy parts are way more captivating than the actual plot. Don’t get me wrong, the plots in these books are fantastic, but they tend to take a backseat to the steamy scenes. With Sienna Blake’s Hunting Pretty, I kept forgetting I was reading a Dark romance book until I’d get to the spicier scenes. Now, don’t think because of that statement that there’s lack of spicy scenes in this book because let me tell you, there’s not and those scenes were damn good!! Definitely check trigger warnings. I couldn’t put the book down! But then, the ending? I was so confused, I mean, what the heck, leaving a cliff hanger like that! The way I rushed to get the second book! I highly highly absolutely 1000 percent recommend this book to everyone!

SUCH a great read!! Like every other Freida book I was hooked right from the beginning!! I really liked the one of the main female characters, and thought she was easy to relate to in ways! Only reason it didn’t get 5/5 stars is because it did take me 4 days to finish it, I felt as though the middle of the book dragged just a bit!

Freida does it again. You think you know exactly what’s going on and can be pretty sure that you are able to predict the ending but somehow it all turns around on itself. I have finished it in less than 24 hours and can’t wait until the next book.

I received this as an ARC (thanks Frieda, Mandy, and NetGalley!!) and I sat down and read it in just over two hours! This was a solid four stars... Not my favorite, but definitely an entertaining popcorn read. Frieda's books are great palate cleansers; a quick read and a treat for your imagination. If you like Frieda, you'll like this.

The Crash by Freida McFadden is an absolute page-turner! From the very first chapter, the suspense grips you and doesn’t let go. McFadden masterfully crafts a thrilling plot filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making it easy to become invested in their fates. The writing is crisp and engaging, making it hard to put the book down. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers and Freida McFadden, The Crash' is a must-read. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will leave you breathless and eager for more from this talented author.

This is my first ARC and it did not disappoint. In true Freida fashion, there were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Just when I thought that maybe I had it figured out….surprise! Another twist. I thought the character development was incredible and the descriptions of the setting along with the storyline allowed me to visualize what was happening. This is definitely in my top 3 Freida McFadden Books! Thank you Freida for another nail-biter of a book!

This book was addicting! I just couldn't put it down, I just kept wanting to know what happens! The ending was a shock and like all of her books you never know the twist even though you know it's coming!! Highly recommend this book - it's a great read!! Thank you Freida, for another great book!

As a huge Freida McFadden fan, I was very much looking forward to The Crash! It is a quick read - I finished it on a snowy afternoon (a perfect backdrop for this book!)
While I was pleased with the pacing and plot progression, there were a few plot points that required quite a stretch of imagination. This book wouldn't be the first I’d recommend of Frieda’s books, but I was satisfied with the ending overall.
