I loved this book! I read most it on one sitting. It was so good. Kept me guessing until the end. Definitely recommend this book!

Freida McFadden is one of my favorite authors for a reason! I haven't read one book yet that I did not like. She knows how to draw you in and keep you there from beginning to end! I felt all the emotions with this one. A lot of anger and annoyance. Also irritation. But like...in a good way

I received an ARC of The Crash, Freida McFadden’s newest thriller, and it did not disappoint! Freida masterfully tells the story from multiple perspectives, allowing readers to dive into the internal thoughts and emotions of the three main characters—Teegan, Polly, and Hank. The plot was compelling and kept me hooked, always wondering what would happen next. While a few of the basement scenes felt slightly repetitive and caused me to skim at times, the overall story was engaging and well-crafted. Another fantastic read from Freida McFadden!

Another amazing book that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Twist at the end. Have already recommended to multiple people and will buy a paper copy to add to my shelf.

Really enjoyed Freida's new book "The Crash." There were some predictable parts but also some parts I didn't see coming. Fun, intense read.

The Crash was a quick and fun read. I love books with short chapters and different view points, and this book has both! Freida always has great twists, and she had another in this book. I will read anything Freida writes!

Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick sick sick
I like how it all came together in the end! No loose ends to worry about

I have read several Freida McFadden books and just like the others, this one did not disappoint. It pulled me in and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I really enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more of Freida’s books in the future. If you’re looking for a thriller that will keep you hooked from start to finish, I highly recommend The Crash!

First, I would like to thank Poisoned Pen Press, NetGalley, and Mandy Chahal for an advance copy to read! Second, I should mention I will read anything Freida writes! I actually read this book all in one day, but I waited to write the review to see if it stuck with me or not. While reading this story, I felt like I was watching a Lifetime movie. Tegan was a good main character. Even after a car crash and not knowing who to trust, she still showed determination and bravery. It was refreshing to see a slightly different style from Freida! I was not left finding myself thinking about the characters or plot after finishing, so I wouldn’t consider it a five star read for me.

Tegan is 8 months pregnant and headed to see her brother during a blizzard, when she loses control of her car, crashes and seriously injures herself. To her rescue comes Hank who takes her to his home with his wife Polly, where things quickly take a turn, and Tegan soon has to determine who she can trust and how she will save herself and her unborn child.
The Crash is a forced captivity, tense read with some unexpected twists that made this an enjoyable read!! The middle of the book does have a moment where things feel slightly repetitive but it does move along. In my opinion, a really good suspense/psychological thriller should keep you guessing, and you shouldn't see something coming (I don't want to be able to predict what's happening). Freida McFadden delivered that with The Crash.
** Thank you Freida McFadden, NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. **

Thank you so much to Poisoned Pen Press for my early copy. I was so excited when I won!
I have read several Freida books so far (but still have a lot more to go!) This is getting rave reviews so I think I'm in the minority, but this has been my least favorite so far. Don't get me wrong, I was still totally invested and I read it in a day or two in true Freida fashion. It was just lacking suspense and excitement for me. The whole time you know what's happening because you hear the hostage and the hostage taker's POV. There was kind of a twist at the end in which two characters do something totally out of character. Although those events were surprising, they weren't huge shocking twists like in some of Freida's other books. I do think this was a good Winter read and Freida fans will like it. However, if you've never read Freida before, I would not start with this one.

Let’s be honest, if Freida writes it, I’m going to read it. Seemed fitting to read this during a snowstorm, made the experience just that much more real. Huge thanks to Poisoned Pen Press for an E-ARC of this novel.
There’s just something about Freida’s writing style that draws me in and hold me captive for the length of the book. And as always, as soon as I’m finished I am ready for more.

WOW! Another amazing story by Frieda . It starts out crazy.. like literally page one I’m like… whaaaat?!
I loved the FMC. She had been thru a lot but remained so strong. The story was absolutely crazy and full of twists (in true Frieda fashion)
I loved how it ended . Hank may be my new favorite MMC. (Jackson being a close second !)
Trigger warning :story includes infertility

While this one had me guessing at times, the beginning gave it a slow start for me. It was more of a slow built up tension and I thought I would be able to guess what was coming for the first time in a Freida McFadden book. However, in true Freida fashion the twisty end got me again! Overall It’s a solid, quick read that I enjoyed. I always plow through Freida's books and this was no exception. Once I started, I couldn't put it down and read it in less than 24 hours. I agree with other reviews that this one had a lot of repetition early on with a bit of a lull, but it is worth the wait!
*I was gifted this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you!

I would like to thank NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for allowing me to read an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
The Crash is the latest Freida McFadden psychological thriller, and this one gave me Misery vibes a la Stephen King! I could not put it down!
Tegan is 8-months pregnant and decides to drive to visit her brother, and due to an incoming storm, gets into a crash. She is rescued by a big burly stranger named Hank who takes her to his house instead of the hospital even though she is badly injured. His wife, who is a nurse, takes care of her until the storm clears. But as time goes on, Tegan begins to worry that the couple’s intentions aren’t good and she may not get out of there alive.
I thought I had this one figured out, but the twists and turns in the book really got me! The true villain(s) aren’t always who they seem! The most annoying part of this book was definitely Tegan referring to her unborn child as “Baby Tuna”. Like an unnaturally irritating number of times. Other than that, no complaints. The book was very good. I still highly recommend!

I was so excited when I received this ARC, especially since it was my first read of the year- and it definitely didn’t disappoint! True to Freida’s style, this book had me hooked from the start with its fast-paced plot and unexpected twists that keep you guessing.
It has similar vibes to The Housemaid but with a winter setting that adds to the suspense. The short chapters and different POVs made it a quick and enjoyable read I couldn't put down. I’m looking forward to Freida's next release!

Freida has done it again! Pregnant Tegan finds herself captive in a stranger’s basement after a snowy car crash left her stranded. The pacing was wonderful and really kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. I loved that the FMC was strong and advocated for herself, and as always, a twist I did not guess! Thank you so much to the publisher for the advance copy!

*Freida McFadden’s "The Crash" is an absolutely thrilling ride from start to finish. This book grabbed me immediately with its gripping premise—a deadly car accident that sets off a chain of events no one could have predicted. McFadden masterfully weaves suspense, mystery, and psychological tension into every page, keeping you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
The plot is full of unexpected twists and turns, each one more jaw-dropping than the last. The characters are complex and believable, with secrets and motivations that slowly unravel as the story progresses. McFadden has a knack for creating characters that feel real, and even when you think you’ve figured out the direction the book is heading, she surprises you with a new revelation that leaves you reeling.
What stands out is McFadden’s ability to blend heart-pounding suspense with emotional depth. This isn’t just a thriller—it’s a story about loss, guilt, and the dark corners of the human mind. The pacing is spot-on, and the tension never lets up.
By the time you reach the stunning conclusion, you’ll be left breathless and thinking about the story long after you turn the last page. *The Crash* is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers—it’s an unputdownable, five-star experience that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Thank you Freida McFadden and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this early! Unfortunately, this was not one of my favorite books by Freida. It was repetitive, and the ending was anticlimactic.

One part that was confused my visualization during reading is that it described the main character as wearing leggings and then suddenly sweatpants in the next sentence. The former is tight and can be sexy pants, while the latter is baggy.
The middle section in the house was a bit slow compared to her other books that I like. There could have been either more fast action or simply cut down.
Simon was an interesting character who could have had more twists and punishment. I would have liked to have read more surprises about him. Overall, I love Freida’s books!
