I always read Freida's book so fast and it was also the case with this one.
I was glued to my kindle from start to finish and if I hadn't started it at 8pm I would've finished it in one sitting.
Now i can't wait for The Tenant in may ;)

I absolutely ravished this book! This was one of the best thrillers I have read yet. I thoroughly enjoyed the all the plot twists and turns. Just when I thought I had the story figured out, Frieda proved me wrong! This book did not end up how I thought it would and I love every minute of it. It is definitely one of those that you just cannot put down and it had me glued the whole way. Thank you for this amazing experience!

I received an advanced copy of this book and couldn't wait to dive in. It was a little repetitive in some areas but I truly enjoyed reading it. In classic Freida McFadden fashion, the twists and turns of "The Crash" kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, she throws in a revelation that had me second guessing everything. The Crash is a rollercoaster of emotions and full of unexpected moments that will leave you breathless. It’s the kind of book you won’t be able to put down until you’ve turned the final page.

Thank you Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC . This wasn’t my favorite but I continue to like Freida McFadden’s writing style, as I blew through this book in 2 days. I did find some parts of the book repetitive and wanted things to get moving. I would say that I do know she puts trigger warnings on her website and would say that infertility is a huge trigger warning for this book.

I loved this one, as always. It gives off misery vibes. It's fast paced and I was hooked from the beginning. I finished it quickly and enjoyed it

After reading this book, I could figure out what was up with Polly. When Tegan went to the hospital, I didn’t see what was coming next with the brother that twist was good. I like how she put mental health in this book to keep people aware of how important it is, the book Was suspenseful Although it wasn’t my favorite of her books, but it was Just OK I kinda got tired of the back-and-forth when she was at Polly’s house and I wanted it to not linger on anymore. For sure I thought Polly was a bad person didn’t see that twist either although it lingered on too much. The book wasn’t half bad.

The Crash by Freida McFadden;

Tegan is eight months pregnant, traumatized and desperate to leave her failing life behind. So she starts driving, unaware that she is about to enter a blizzard. Hours later, Tegan is trapped in rural Maine with a dead car and a fractured ankle, and she fears she has made a terrible mistake.Then a miracle happens: she is saved by a man, but Tegan is unsure if she can trust this man the man insist on bringing Tegan to his house instead of the hospital because of how bad the roads are. Tegan is thankful for being saved but scared she might have just got herself into an even worse situation that is until the man tells her that his wife is a nurse. The second she hears the word wife every part of Tegan’s body relaxes. The couple soon offers her a room in their heated cabin till the snow clears. But something just seems off.

This book possesses everything a good book should provide. It includes romance, villains, a golden boy, and suspicions. Every time I thought I know what was going to happen, it generally never happens, but with this book, I can honestly say I was more on theme. The character building is one of the things that stand out the most to me. I feel like we got a glimpse of everyone’s life before the crash, during the crash as well as after the crash. We got to see how untreated mental illness or even depression can affect our daily living and how the effects of leaving it untreated has on someone’s environment. We saw first hand how money can change the people we love and how it can turn them into someone we don’t recognize.

This book begins slowly, but the burn is well worth it. It also features a different writing style compared to other Frieda McFadden books. I really enjoyed it, especially the ending!!! I don't want to say too much right now since I don't want to reveal anything that may be a spoiler. but if your thinking about buying this book I would say BUY THE BOOK!!

Book Review: The Crash by Freida McFadden

Freida McFadden’s The Crash is an entertaining psychological thriller with plenty of twists and suspense. The story begins with a car accident that strands the protagonist with strangers, and as secrets unravel, the tension builds steadily.

While the fast-paced writing and shocking ending were enjoyable, the book didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The twists, though clever, felt a bit predictable at times, and the characters didn’t leave a lasting impression. It’s a good read, but not one of my favorites.

I went back and forth on what I wanted to rate this one, so I ended up going for a happy medium and choosing 4 stars. I love Freida, and this one was very different from her usual style in my opinion. Not bad, different, but different, so I'm going to lay out what I loved and didn't love.

The best parts of this book were the setup she gave us as readers. We start with some tension that escalates, and things just sort of start spiraling. There were characters I liked from the start and some I didn't like from the start, which I think is her purpose. The dual points of view was great. A lot of assumptions were made by both that just added to the tension and deepened the plot. I was literally questioning who I trusted more of the two main characters, and I loved that I had to try and decipher who was the reliable narrator (or decide if either was reliable). Freida being Freida, the suspense was of course there and on point, so overall, there was a LOT to love.

Now for the parts I wasn't crazy about. There were a few plot inconsistencies which I think can and will happen in any book, but there were a couple of very noticeable ones to me. The main thing I disliked was that, although I get this is fiction, I feel like there were a few things so out there that they just didn't create a believable situation, which is needed to really feel the build of tension. One example was a weapon being taken into the hospital, and it mentions the character walking past the guard. Usually if there is a guard, there are metal detectors and such. I don't want to add spoilers, so I can't go into a lot of details with this one, but in order for me to get the thrill from the tension, the situation needs to be realistic enough that I could see it actually happening.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book. This one did have quite a few twists. I saw a couple of them coming, and some I did not see at all. It kept me flipping pages, and I didn't want to put it down, so it did its job, and I highly recommend you check it out if you enjoy thriller and suspense novels.

Overall solid read and I finished it quickly! There was a certain element that kind of mirrored a specific part of "do not disturb" by Freida that I recently read, but it was pretty unexpected in the context of this book. Overall really enjoyable quick read!

This was so good! I always love the two POV as well as all the twists and turns. This one kept me guessing until the very last page. As always, I had an idea of what was going on but didn’t have it right once. Perfect wrap up at the end!

I received an early copy of THE CRASH and was so excited to dive in. I have read almost all of Freida's books and the twists never seize to amaze me! This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I couldn't put it down! Many surprising moments, especially at the end! I also love how accurate the medical terms and situations are, given Freida is a physician. This book will not disappoint!

Another winner by Freida McFadden! I was immediately sucked into the thrilling story of kidnapping, deception, and longing. The short chapters and multiple points-of-view moved the story along quickly and really kept my interest. Add in a harrowing blizzard and it has all the elements of a great story. There weren’t the trademark twists that I am used to with McFadden’s stories (or I just figured them out this time) but the character development more than made up for it for me. Looking forward to more by this author!

McFadden definitely fed me fake story lines that I initially fell for.
I yelled at Tegan quite a bit at the beginning of the book because she had mired herself into a fine kettle of fish, given her penchant for tuna.
But as the action intensified the villains fluctuated from chapter to chapter. The most obvious one turned out to be one of the good people.
There is a scene that was so stressful I did gasp out loud.
The ending threw me for a loop because I never saw the ultimate betrayal coming.
I figured out one major plot angle about Polly’s family dilemma.
I also applaud what the good person did at the end to ensure two people’s safety.
Another hit it out of the ballpark read!

Another great read by FM that had me trying to guess the inevitable twist and anticipating how it might all end. Characters were well developed, and at times, I felt like I was crouching in a basement corner, watching it all unfold. The plot moved at a comfortable pace, although later chapters became somewhat repetitive and and character decisions didn't really seem logical. Very much has the "snowed in" vibes, and reading it while it was, in fact, snowing outside made it that much more enjoyable.

Highly recommend this for fans of McFadden!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of ‘The Crash’ by Freida McFadden. She is known for her plot twists and causing readers to think they know what’s going on then totally taking them by surprise at the last minute and this book is no different. You’re taken on a journey from loving to hating the characters and being not quite sure who to trust. It is a thrilling book with lots of twists and turns and will leave you wanting if to keep you turning the pages. You start off really not liking the main character Polly but by the end of the book you actually end up having quite a soft spot for her. If you read any Freida book this year then make it this one! Easily my first 5 stars of the year

This book had my jaw on the floor from chapter 1. The heartwretching situations young Tegan goes through makes you devour the book to find out what happens in the end. If you've ever suffered loss or infertility then your heart aches for Polly and everything she goes
through as well. Just wow. Also this book kinda gives
Misery vibes.

This was actually my first Frieda McFadden novel. I was not as impressed as I thought I'd be. First of all, although the story is propulsive, I felt the need to keep reading in order to get through it. Secondly, it feels like it was modeled on Stephen King's Misery, even down to one of the characters about to hobble the other.
Tegan is unmarried and pregnant and up to her eyeballs in debt. She is about to make a huge deal with the father of her baby, (a 1-night stand) that will definitely help get her out of dire straights. However, once Tegan actually meets with the jerk, she is reminded that this one-night stand did not happen mutually and the deal is off.
Tegan decides to meet her brother, Dennis, a ski instructor, for the weekend to relax and unwind. However, a blizzard is forecast and Tegan, of course, gets into an accident. A good Samaritan named Hank stops on his way home and brings Tegan, broken ankle and all, back to his home. Tegan is forced to stay with Hank and his wife Polly WAY longer than anticipated. Even the conclusion was easy to guess at.

I’m a fan of Freida’s work, but there was something about this particular book that didn’t quite resonate with me (and it wasn’t the content warnings). I didn’t predict the two significant plot twists at the end, so she certainly succeeded in delivering those, but the rest of the story was just average for me. I hope others will enjoy it more!
