I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

No Place Left to Hide follows Brooke Goodwin, an image obsessed student at a prestigious private high school harboring secrets about an incident that ended her classmate's life. Brooke is receiving threats from someone who wants her to confess the truth, and the more she ignores them, the more serious they get.

Brooke felt unlikeable from the beginning, but so did all of the other characters as they all seemed very two dimensional. The plot was fast paced and easy to read, but it felt predictable and surface level. This is an enjoyable enough popcorn read if you gravitate toward YA thrillers, but it isn't something I would go out of my way to recommend. 2 stars⭐️

oh my god? This was so creepy! I really like how she writes her books. It‘s not a crazy plot twist that comes out of nowhere. You get to figure things out as you read along and thats just so good.
Loved the academic setting, the friendships and the past and present chapters were perfect!
I‘m really excited to get my hands on a physical copy next year & I can not wait for more books from this author! I love how fast paced they are! The way she writes just keeps me on the edge of my seat!! The biggest thanks to netgalley and the publisher that I got to read the arc for this!

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I started this around 7:00pm and finished it by 10:45pm. I could not put it down. The plot is fantastic, with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Overall, it's a fast paced story that you will remember long after the last page is turned, making it a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers. I truly enjoyed this book and I am so grateful to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC copy! After reading two of Megan’s books, I can easily say I will read any future books she writes!

Loved Megan Lally's debut YA mystery and this one was really good as well! I can't wait for the audiobook and I really hope it's the same narrator as that narrator did such a fabulous job really getting you into the story and all the twists and turns! Would definitely recommend for those who liked "A Good Girls Guide to Murder" series.

I really enjoyed this one! I loved the author’s first book and her second one lived up to the hype for me too. Such a fun thriller with twist after twist. Honestly, I didn’t see a lot of it coming. It was a perfect vacation read for me!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for the eARC.

I really enjoyed Megan Lally's first novel, and was so excited to be approved for this one. The length of this was just right. The tension in the current timeline was just right. However, the storyline, the characters, the twists, none of it was for me. Perhaps I was not the target audience is relevant to this, but I really just found myself so not into any of it.

I was a huge fan of Megan Lally’s debut novel and could not wait for her second one! It did not disappoint! I was completely shocked with the twist!

This is my second book by Megan Lally and this was just as amazing as the first one. I was hooked instantly and would read this every second I got a chance, cooking cleaning, rocking my baby to sleep, I couldn't put it down!

wow, megan lally does it again! this book was good. it’s told in two timelines, past and present, and builds up to a very twisted ending. this book kept me on edge the entire time. each chapter leads with anticipation and reveals crucial evidence for the big ending. the writing is very addicting and twisty, you can’t help but to come up with your own theories and guess the next move. although it’s a suspenseful thriller, it was actually quite fun and very hard to put down!

the fmc was insufferable and while i was on her side for a short while, i grew to hate her by the end. some character details were a bit redundant but it further emphasized their personalities, so it didn’t bother me too much.

with the many twists and turns of the plot, i liked the sprinkle of details that slowly reveal who brooke’s stalker is. although it was easy to scope out those details, it made the revelations twice as exciting.

i thought the way the book closed was very unique and i liked the formatting of it! i wish there was also a more detailed pov from any of the characters. an epilogue, maybe?

overall, i really enjoyed this book! i’d highly recommend to thriller lovers and even those who are just starting to get into the genre.

thank you to sourcebooks fire, netgalley, and megan lally for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest review!

4.5/5 stars

Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for an advanced e-arc of this book. This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2025 and it DID NOT disappoint.

General Description: Brooke Goodwin is on her redemption arc. After an accident at her party in September, she's finally going to make her parents proud by getting into Yale. Of course, she has to celebrate with her friends. And of course, she lies to her parents about the party. It doesn't matter that someone has been harassing her about the accident over the past few months, Brooke deserves a break. On the way home from the party, after a scary encounter at said party, it seems the harasser is finally ready to actually pressure Brooke to make a decision: tell the truth about the accident, or die. What will Brooke do, especially with her best friend in the passenger seat, going 90 miles an hour in the dark, and with no cell service. Will Brooke walk away alive?

The goods:
- I was actually scared during some of the scenes, which I feel like hasn't happened in a thriller in a while.
- I did not see any of the twists coming at all. The characters have you on your toes the entire time.
- I feel like this was a departure from That's Not My Name in the best way. It wasn't a recycled story line and felt unique. I don't think I've read a thriller like this in a minute.
- This was an extremely fast paced read that I wish did not end.

The loss of a half-star:
- I just wish it wrapped up a bit better. I feel like I still had questions at the end. I thought the ending was creative, but I wish it was just a bit clearer.

Overall, if you're looking for a fast-paced, heart-pounding, and twisty thriller, this should definitely be on your 2025 TBR.

Lally's first book was going to be tough to top. While I didn't love this one AS much, it was still really well done. A wonderful sophomore read. The story kept me on my toes-I loved the build up! Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

3.5/4stars.

Thank you to Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read this as an ARC book. I was so excited when I got accepted for this as I loved That's not my name. This book was great it was really creepy and I think it has a great story line, as a second book I think Megan Lally did a really great job with it and defiantly worth a read!
I didn't think it was AS good as That's Not My Name however I think it is a really tough book to top as it was 10/10! This was still a great book and I did really enjoy it.

I loved the storyline more as it progressed and the wild chase was so good! I do personally wish it was a little more shocking as I could see how it would all end up from a mileee away. For me, it was very obvious what was going to happen right by the beginning and nothing really surprised me at all, however being said it is still a great book that I think will surprise a lot of people, I think it is a great YA thriller! Great Job!

This book is a solid sophomores novel! Suspenseful, atmospheric, chugging along to a fantastic conclusion.

That said, the first part of this book is SLOW. And I think there was room for some character development because not all the characters are introduced in a way that makes sense. The middle is a lot faster paced and much more horror than the beginning.

I will say, this is a cast of petty, unlikeable characters! If that's your jam, you're going to love this!

This was definitely a thriller that kept me on my toes the entire time reading. I am not normally a thriller reader and several moments in the book did give me an ishy feeling in my stomach at times, but it was still a solid read. I do have to say the characters were very unlikable and, at times, the plot felt unrealistic, but I think some thrillers can naturally gravitate that way. I would still recommend it to people who enjoy thrillers and fast reads.

What happens when your family is like royalty in your county? Well just ask Brooke Goodwin.

Brooke comes from the prominent Goodwin family, mom is principal of the prestigious Waldorf where Brooke attends and her dad is a lawyer who is due to be chosen for a judge position on the state Supreme Court. Brooke was involved in a tragic boating accident to start her senior year, but everyone believes the case is closed and shut for good & none of it was Brookes fault. But when Brooke begins to get her tires slashed, reminders of Claire's death and repeated called from an unknown number, the real truth of the night Claire died might be revealed.

The whole dynamics between the characters were so interesting, and really played well into themes that many high schoolers go through on a daily basis. I mean who hasn't fought over a cute boy with one of their friends in high school?

This book provided a fast pace, heart rate inducing thrill! This was gripping and if you were into the Murdaugh case in South Carolina, I think you'll enjoy this one. While the FMC wasn't that likable, I really think this book was great & would highly recommend if you're looking to read a great thriller.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, and Megan Lally for this ARC! No Place Left to Hide is set to publish on Jan 7th, 2025!

No Place Left to Hide ⋆˙⟡

She’s in too deep, and the only way out is through the truth.

Brooke’s life looks flawless from the outside, top grades, acceptance into her dream school, and a polished reputation thanks to her family.
But when an unknown driver begins stalking her, she is forced to confront the truth she’s been hiding, a truth someone is determined to bring into the light no matter the cost. 👀

While some clues towards the plot twists were a bit easy to guess, I was shocked when they all started unraveling.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chapters between past & present. Kept me engaged and I devoured it 🙌🏼

After loving Megan’s first book, my hopes were so high and I was not disappointed! ✨
So grateful and appreciative to receive this ARC.
Thank you NetGallery & Sourcebooks Fire

"No Place Left to Hide" feels like your worst urban legend driven fear come to life. Brooke Goodwin is the kind of girl everyone admires (or loves to hate)—she’s beautiful, gets good grades, and is super involved in all kinds of activities. Everything changed for her six months ago though after a terrible incident during a party at her parents’ summer house. A boat accident led to the death of Claire, one of her classmates and biggest rivals.

Claire's brother is on a mission to make sure Brooke takes the blame for what happened. He’s been publicly threatening her. To make things worse, a mystery person has been calling her every day, slashing her car tires, and leaving creepy newspaper articles about the accident on her car.

All Brooke wants is to move on and start college, leaving the nightmare behind. For the past six months, she’s been avoiding being the center of attention. Her best friend Jen finally convinces her to go to a party after she promises they won't drink or do anything else to get into trouble.

After the party, when a Bronco starts tailgating them and the mysterious caller intensifies their threats, Brooke realizes it’s time to take control of her life. She’s determined to fight back and outsmart whoever is trying to mess with her.

This book was like a roller coaster. It started off slow to climb for perhaps a bit too long. Then it had a big drop/loop combo that you aren't expecting, but it finishes rather slowly.

The initial climb is slow for a couple of reasons. Not all of the characters are well introduced. I was left wondering who the heck Beau was pretty much the whole book. It also began with Gossip Girl vibes - it was less thriller and more petty, catty, privileged drama.

However. Halfway through, it got real. It became a horror book! I was forced to the edge of my seat! The catty drama evolved to seriously life-threatening danger. The middle of the book was exceptional.

The ending was satisfying but also predictable. It slowed down substantially near the end, and just like a good roller coaster - I was left craving more. It was a short, easy read and the good outweighed the bad. I want to ride again!

NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE by Megan Lally
Thank you Netgalley and SourcebooksFire for the EARC (Jan 7)

Review:
5⭐
I remember when I read Megan Lally's debut novel and couldn't wait to read more because the thrills and plot twists that came with that one was just perfect. Going into NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE, my expectations were extremely high---like through the roof. I was so afraid that this wouldn't live up to the glamor and greatness that was in my mind. Super happy to report that this sophomore novel EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS.
NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE is a dual pov novel. In the Now pov, Brooke is being stalked and threatened all while college acceptances are looming and the prospect of finally getting to be with her crush. In the Before, we learn the story of Claire Heck, and what happened to her.
This book was amazing. Hands down one of my favorite reads of the year, and I've read a lot of really great books this year. Lally was able to deliver another high-stakes novel that kept me hooked from page one, and I easily devoured NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE in a few short sittings. NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE is an edge-of-your-seat thriller. There's not a minute that this book didn't leave my mind boggled and my heart racing. This book was just so thrilling and so wild. Not to mention how twisted it was as the whodunnit was close to being solved, the confession, etc. Yes, I called part of that equation, but OMG that twist and then that other one...what are read.
If you loved Lally's THAT'S NOT MY NAME, you'll absolutely love NO PLACE LEFT TO HIDE. Not only does it deliver on the pulse-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thrills, but Lally throws twists that the reader may or may not see coming. 10/10 would recommend, and I can't wait to do a reread and read whatever Lally writes next.

Megan Lally does it again. I might have enjoyed this even more than her debut, which is a high bar. I absolutely LOVED the main character and being in her head was such a wild ride. That probably says something less than ideal about my mental state, but not going to worry about that. Just going to eagerly await the next Megan Lally thriller.
