This is my second title by the same author and I really enjoyed it! This was a solid 4.5 for me out of 5. I read this via eBook as part of an ARC opportunity through NetGalley. (That's Not My Name by the same author is still my favorite by her!)

This story was engaging from start to finish. It was a quick read with dual timelines, which I love as a reader. I truly thought I had it all figured out, but I did not! This had a major twist at the end that I didn't see coming and had me in a true WTF moment. This book gave me all the mean girl vibes and was hard to put down. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy fast-paced and twisty with strong female characters.

This was an amazing, fast paced thriller. My watch actually prompted me to relax LOL. There were so many enjoyable things about this book, mostly the journey. I could not put it down at all. However, the plot holes were insane and the reason I couldn’t justify 5 stars.

I enjoyed the Before and Now chapters helping me get to know more about the characters.

I loved Megan Lally’s first book and was so excited to read her second novel “Nothing Left to Hide,” as well. I LOVED this book. I have always enjoyed comically bad villains and if you enjoy a funny kind of evil, I totally recommend this book. This novel is not necessarily a mystery, but it was a thrilling read for me. You may guess the answers near the start, but the ride you venture on has twists and turns to keep your heart racing. A total page turner, and each sentence had me excited to see what was going to happen next.

I gave this one 4.75 stars!! The only reason why this book is not five stars is because I wish there was a little more meat to the villain’s reasonings, BUT I understand the reasoning why there is so little, as well.

I cannot wait to read more from Megan Lally in the future!

This was such a great book. I had a very hard time putting it down. I would definitely recommend this book to others if they like thrillers.

Like Megan Lally’s previous book this proved to be a fast engaging read that had plenty of twists and surprises towards the end. This book is told in past and present chapters and I was struggling to figure out if I was supposed to feel bad for the FMC. As we learn more about what happened in the past I couldn’t help but think about a recent case from the South involving a prominent lawyer family and an incident surrounding drunk driving and a boat.
Overall I enjoyed this one and it’s a solid YA thriller.

A little predictable but a fun wild ride. Love how the author made us feel sympathy for a certain character and then in the end see it differently.

Right off, I hated most off these characters between the culprit and the actual victim. The main story revolves around Brooke Goodwin who is the IT girl until 6 months before when a boating accident occurs and takes one of the lives of her classmate, Claire. Claire's brother blames Brooke for the accident. Plus, Brooke begins receiving calls from an unknown number, tires slashed, among other threats. Brooke's bff Jen invites her to a party citing that she's been lying low for quite some time with the promise of her crush attending the party. However, on the way home a car begins to tailgate them. Brooke then realizes she must do everything in her power to evade them, but will she?

I read Megan Lally first book earlier this month so I was excited when a friend mentioned that netgalley had a new book out by her. This book was not as good as her debut. this book didn't have original scenes. I think it was written more from the ya perspective. Rich people own a party house at a lake and the teenagers use the house for partying. Things go wrong someone dies.

I read and enjoyed [author: Megan Lally]’s debut novel [book: That’s Not My name] so went into this with high expectations.
Having worked as a high school counselor and having many students apply to the Ivy League colleges as well as other high selective colleges. I could associate with Brooke’s anticipation in waiting for notification so I immediately was sure I was going to like this story.
However, I soon struggled with Brooke - her foul language was getting to me. As I mentioned I worked with teens for years and yes! I know they use profanity but I also know they have a filter. I hung in there as often the end makes me glad I put up with the foul language.

I know I am not the target audience for this story but as a high school guidance counselor I always enjoy reading YA stories plus am I thriller fan.
However this really didn’t work for me.

I always enjoy reading the author’s Notes and/or Acknowledgement.
In this case, Ms. Lally tells us readers how difficult it is to write a second novel.
She tells us that this story is incredibly twisted and it is about what happens when bad decisions lead to consequences.
She tells us that that this is her - mean girl thriller!

Among her thanks to her many supporters, includes her husband Brady for tolerating her when she goes on ranting about characters who
don’t exist.

This made me laugh and although I didn’t love this story. Her acknowledgments had me round-up my rating!!!

Have to admit I will check out Megan Lally’s next novel!

Wow, if you enjoyed That’s Not My Name, then you will absolutely love No Place Left To Hide! I did not foresee the plot twist; it left me speechless… technically not speechless, I kept saying, “OMG.” I loved the characters, the plot, and the ending. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store next!

I requested this book because the book cover and title caught my attention. Overall, i really enjoyed reading this book. A little disappointed with the ending. I guess, the suspect deserved it but with thriller books i was expecting like a plot twist at the end. This book is a must read for fans of suspense thrillers.

I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in January. This was exciting. Honestly. Some parts I expected. Some I did not. Definitely a butt clencher story.

One of the perks of being a book reviewer is that we get to read books a few months before they are published and I had been excited to read this one especially as I loved her debut novel "That's Not My Name". I have to admit though if there is one thing that YA thrillers have taught me, it's that A) no one is invincible as you will always get caught, and B) your friends cannot be trusted as they may be the ones you have to be worried about. If you are a fan of authors like Natasha Preston, Karen M. McManus, and Natalie D. Richards, then Megan Lally is another author who will need to be added to your list as they are all very similar. The book starts with introducing us to Brooke, her life is being made a living hell by someone as a few months earlier - a girl lost her life at one of Brooke's famous parties. The incident was covered up and made to look like an accident, but the thing is that a few people including Brooke know the real truth and someone is taunting her and wanting to reveal the truth. In No Place Left to Hide, a car ride home for Brooke turns into a deadly game of Cat and Mouse as someone is chasing her, and determined to make her pay for what happened to Claire that night. They are determined to make "Little Miss Perfect Brooke" pay and bring her and her family down a few notches as this family is normally the ones doing anything to keep the perfect untarnished image. Can Brooke survive the night and figure out the identity of who else knows the truth or will she end up cutting her life short and going out the same way Claire did? I love a good mystery book. This book was a fun read. It was not too dark, and I appreciated that. Sometimes books get too dark and it is not as enjoyable. But this was a fairly light and fun book. The twists kept me engaged.

Loved the plot twist here! The ending was very satisfying. I didn’t like this quite as much as her first book but it was still an enjoyable read! I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for her books in the future.

A super-fast-paced, high stakes YA thriller.
Brooke is a golden child, her father is a judge in the PNW, and she just got into her dream college - Yale. Her friend Jena convinces her to go to a party at their classmate Beau's house to celebrate. Brooke doesn't want to go since she has been plagued by reminders of what happened at the beginning of the school year. A tragic death that still haunts her, and someone has been trying to make her never forget. However, she gives into Jena and goes to the party... this will not be a good decision.

The story goes back and forth between the past and present, so we eventually find out what happened that tragic night several months ago. The pace of the book made it easy to read and kept me wanting to read more. A great follow up to Megan Lally's debut book last year That's Not My Name.

Excuse me but.....wtf did I just read?! I was able to tell who was involved pretty fast BUT THE CURVE BALLS in this book were fantastic! I loved That's not my name and I will always be a Megan Lally fan. No Place Left to Hide is about Brooke, a senior who has to maintain the perfect image and perfect life. There was an accident at her lake house last summer and now she is being harassed via texts, vandalism, and clues left on her car. One night she decides to go to a party and on the way home she is being followed and the night takes a dark and twisted turn. I give this 3.5 stars! I really enjoyed it! Read this if you like YA thrillers, fast paced thrillers, Pretty Little Liars, or I Know What You Did Last Summer. It's release date is January 7,2025.

As a big fan of ‘That’s Not My Name’, I was excited to hear that Megan Lally had written book number two! I went in blind on this one, hadn’t read the synopsis and really had no idea what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! As with her first book, this one is also a YA thriller. It’s a page turner full of twists and turns, and characters you’ll love to hate. 5 stars from me!

Whoa. This one left me breathless- I didn’t even realize I was holding that breath. A slow burn in the beginning, that quickly amps up in pace, anxiety and tension.

Brooke is a high school senior at the exclusive Waldorf school and is the only child in a prominent family. Brooke has been accepted by Yale, and off to celebrate with her classmates at a beach house.

Claire has always been Brooke’s nemesis. That is until Claire’s father got fired, and the family was forced to move. But a boating incident on the lake has left Claire dead.

But Brooke has been plagued by “no caller id” calls and awful pranks. But now as Brooke and her BFF drive home from the beach party the “no caller id” has just raised the stakes.

You will not be able to put this one down. Told in alternating narratives of before and now was very effective way to build the tension while also telling the backstory.

Absolutely loved this one – HIGH RECOMMEND
