This was a wonderful novel about a child struggling with a medical diagnosis and the consequences of family dynamics and long kept secrets! I thought the beginning of the novel was slightly confusing as the story is told by three main characters with flashbacks to different years. However, do not stop reading as I could not put the book down once I read the first few chapters!! As a mom of a child with significant medical issues and a learning disability, I was to really able relate to the struggles and emotions of the two main characters as they dealt with a life time of secrets and medical issues. I loved the journey the characters took to resolve the family issues and the positive resolution and conclusion of the novel.
I was so engrossed in this book that I can't stop talking about it. I was so caught up in not just the main characters but the Ladies of Edgevale House. This book is so good at making you see things from someone else's point of view. I want so badly to read it again already. I like how the chapters are set of this book so if I feel I want to revisit a certain situation they are easy to find. I love that I want to discuss this book with others and also want to keep it as a treasure. Do yourself a favour and read this book with friends.
This book had me from the start. I was up all night reading, once I started I couldn't put it down. I feel like these characters are so relatable and genuine. It's like reading Louisa May Alcott or Jodi Picoult, the characters are timeless and the settings so vivid. The themes of the book are so current and poignant. This book will leave you wanting to reach for it again. I feel like these characters will be with me forever.
See ~ Saw was a beautifully written novel. The characters were heartwarming and real and I felt like I really got to know them through the story and I was sad when it ended, although I loved the ending too! I was drawn in to the main character, Charlie's, world which was rapidly changing throughout the story and I felt lost with her, but also felt found with her. The author paints vivid scenes and emotions with her words and the chapters end in a way that makes you want to keep reading to know more. I really hope there's a sequel coming soon!!
