How will Davina handle her first assignment as a nanny?

Davina's mission as a nanny is to protect her charge, a principle she learned at the Elite Nanny Academy. Her first client is Gabriel Angelini, a Venetian underboss, who hires her to look after his son, Mikey. Davina sees this job as an opportunity to uncover the truth about her past, but she soon discovers that nothing with the Angelinis is quite what it seems.

Whenever I watched anything on YouTube, I kept seeing this book advertised. Intrigued by all the buzz, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I absolutely loved it. The fantastic plot kept me on the edge of my seat, and the characters were so well-developed that I found myself deeply invested in their journeys. I'm definitely going to read more from this author.

The protagonist, Davina, was incredibly kindhearted and always strived to do what was best for those around her. I admired her determination and compassion, which made her an inspiring character. Her grace in navigating challenges added layers to her personality, and I also really appreciated her distinct character design—her unique style brought her to life in my imagination.
Gabriel was another standout character. He was shrouded in mystery, with an enigmatic aura that piqued my curiosity. His mood swings added fascinating tension to the story, making every interaction with him feel unpredictable and exciting.
Then there was Mikey, who brought a different dynamic to the mix. Although he was a bit of a spoiled brat, his antics often made me laugh. Mikey added a lighthearted element to the narrative, showcasing the contrast between him and the more serious characters.

Overall, the blend of engaging plot twists and rich characterization made this book a delightful read. I can't wait to read the next installment!

Happy Reading, Paige ❤️ 📚

The Mafia Nanny, Vol. 1 is a fun mafia romance graphic novel by SH00 and Violet Matter.

I really enjoyed reading this graphic novel! I inhaled it in one sitting while cuddling on the couch with Catbus.

Davina's entire family was murdered when she was a girl, only to be saved by her nanny. Years later, she is about to graduate from the most elite nanny academy. When the underboss to the Angelini crime family requests her specifically to protect his four-year old son, she decides to take the position to also learn what really happened to her parents all those years ago.

I really loved the art in this book! I especially loved the angles they used when different characters were in the same frame. The framing between Davinia and Gabriel is particularly well done, and I also really love their banter.

Mickey is a little angel demon and I love him so much. I really want to jump over to Webtoon and get caught up but I think I'll force myself to wait for the next volume!

This would be such a fun anime to watch! Some of the side characters give me big Cowboy Bebop vibes.

Okay, I am a Webtoonz girlie, and I ABSOLUTELY love my comics getting the red-carpet, virtual and print edition makeover. I am used to scrolling through the story chapter by chapter on my small phone screen, but blown up pictures, colors, and actions make me super excited to start this story again. The art is beautiful and the paneling choices add to the action and intensity, and I definitely forgot how this story began, so I am on the train again for this!
Storywise, the second in command of this mafia family has hired a nanny for his son after a suspicious death in the close family. Very few can be trusted with the safety of the underboss' only physical weakness, his son, and this nanny isn't your everyday babysitter, so strap in as the nanny who cares too much and is told too little comes head-to-head with constantly looming threats while fighting to decipher friend from foe for the sake of her charge who is 'just a child' and who can still hopefully grow up to make a different choice than the mob.

Thank you Sh00 + Violet Matter + Rouusuu + Drawniels, Wattpad Webtoon, and NetGalley for this ARC!

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This was an interesting read. It was not what I expected in a good way. The characters are interesting and the first volume leaves you with more questions than answers, something I enjoy that helps keep the reader hooked.

The art is well done. It is not my typical style, however, it is still well done and easy to follow the action sequences for the most part.

So much love for this one. I'm currently reading it as it comes out as well, but was so excited to see it was coming out with a print copy! The characters are so loveable (little Mikey being my favourite) and I'm hooked. I cannot wait to see what happens next as we learn more about Davina's past and her connections to the mob. The artwork is just beautiful as well! Thank you Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group

I am so invested. I need more ASAP! I loved the artwork for The Mafia Nanny, the colors and clarity are fantastic. The characters are well developed and pulled me right into the story, which flowed well throughout. I can't wait to read more about Gabriel's background and what happened to his wife. Especially with how this volume ends! Each of the main characters have distinct personalities and drives, which I love to see. Plus Gabriel, Davina, and Mikey are all very intelligent, making this story even more interesting and keeping me invested the whole read through. I think this is a great start to a series and easily made it one that anyone who reads will want to continue with. I can't wait for volume 2!

Thank you Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for the drc via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

*Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher/author for providing me with an E-Arc of this book. The following is my honest opinion *

4.3⭐ out 5

This is the first 12 chapters of the online comic/toon that is available on WEBToon. I had actually seen this when browsing and reading other works on the app, but I was never pulled towards it for some reason. And then I saw it on NetGalley and thought I'd give it a try.

Story-line wise: I think the author gives you just enough crumbs of the 2 plots that are going on in the story that it makes you curious for the rest. It will be interesting enough to see if the they converge into 1 and how it would happen.
Art work wise: This is pretty standard artwork, in my opinion. I really like the vibrancy and sort of how colorful it is despite it being dark themed.

I would definitely recommend this to friends and to people who might not be aware of the app. Or are curious to see the type of comics that are available.

The Mafia Nanny, Vol. 1 by SH00 was an interesting story premise about a mysterious mob boss father (with I'm guessing a hidden soft side) who hires an expert nanny for security who is also mysterious and has her own agenda for taking the job. The kid is endearing and I can easily see this becoming a found family situation with also lots of action and mystery and drama. Recommend to fans of webtoons with any of these themes. I found it pretty satisfying for a first volume.

I was not familiar with this title from Webtoon, but the title intrigued me. Thank you to the publishers for this ARC. I loved it. When I read the last page the first words I said were, "I want more!"
Vibrant and colorful graphics, great character development, and interesting twist on orphan raised by a shadowy organization trope.
Eagerly awaiting the continuation.

Grab yourself a little treat and settle on to read The Mafia Nanny. You are not going to want to put this one down! After finishing this first volume, I feel the need to go to Webtoon and just devour the rest of the series!

This webtoon is a hot mob boss, single dad, and his crabby little suit wearing boy, meet an elite trained nanny that is no Mary Poppins.

Davina, on her first assignment out of the Elite Nanny Academy, is tasked with watching over the young son of notorious mafia underboss, Gabriel Angelini.
Being an Elite Nanny is simple: protect the charge, obey the principle, and don’t get emotionally attached.
This is easier said than done when Davina’s first client is a dangerously compelling Venetian underboss who’s determined to get under her skin. But Davina has motives of her own and a mystery to solve about her own past.
Davina might get answers if she digs deep enough, but her challenges will be protecting Mikey from his father’s ambitions and keeping her heart from getting tangled up in their treacherous web.

The comedy, banter, and action in this first volume are great! Not to mention the sexual tension! I mean, have you seen Gabriel?!

Trust me, if you love Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies, you should definitely check this one out!
Volume 1 is episodes 1-12. All in gorgeous full color.

A huge thank you again to Wattpadbooks and Webtoonofficial for my beautiful physical copy. This review is my own opinion.

Much like some of my other favorite Webtoons, Lore Olympus and Suitor Armor, The Mafia Nanny is getting physical prints! I am over the moon that one of my favorite graphic novels is getting physical prints, and even more overjoyed that I was chosen to have early access to this graphic novel!
The Mafia Nanny follows Daviana on her first assignment after graduating out of the Elite Nanny Academy: Protecting Venetian Underboss Gabriel Angelini's son Mikey. Daviana is dragged into the world of organized crime, a world she thought she left behind. She takes the opportunity to investigate her past, but can't help but find herself entangled in the Angelini Family's web.

I absolutely love this series and have been following the weekly chapter releases on Webtoon diligently. Highly highly recommend Highly recommend for fans of Spy x Family and anyone who enjoys a good high-action, slow-burn romance!

Thoughts:
The Mafia Nanny, Vol. 1 is a lighthearted romance webtoon with romcom elements, heartwarming family moments, and suspense.

At this point, the romance between Davina and Gabriel is starting to build. The connection is there, and the budding tension is lovely. Davina’s persistence in pursuing her own agenda is satisfying to read, and I love the way Gabriel’s gruff and ruthless personality is shown. Both characters are very independent and strong, which makes their dynamic so interesting. The involvement of Mikey is also very sweet, and I appreciate how sensitively the family’s trauma is portrayed. Although the plot itself is very indicative of fiction with a healthy dose of funny, endearing moments, the dysfunctional family dynamic and trauma responses are quite authentic and compassionately written. I also love the methodical and empathetic way Davina swoops in to try and improve Mikey’s life.

Aside from the character dynamics, the webtoon itself is visually pleasing. I love the way the art is drawn, and the colors are beautifully selected. As a webtoon, it is easy to follow, and I found myself excited to flip each page to see how the story would unfold and how art would look on the following page.

This was a great start to this story. I didn’t connect with some of the humor, and some of the plot points were a bit too convenient to feel true. However, there is a lot of intrigue related to the Angelini family lore, and I’m excited to see how the story will continue with Davina’s involvement in Gabriel’s family.

I received this complimentary advanced reader’s copy. All opinions are my own.

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW

I've wanted to read this webtoon FOR SO LONG and I finally have some of it in my hands!!!! It was so much better than I anticipated!!! It was funny but mysterious and had more action than I thought it would. As a teacher who loves kids it was also so fun to see how Davinia acts around Mikey. She's very protective already and has great instincts when it comes to him. Gabriel also really cares for his son, that much is obvious and Mikey adores him. Any guy who loves his kid that much can't be a bad person. I think Davinia's instincts about him not being a bad guy are correct. I can't wait to read more!!

Are you missing the adorable shenanigans of Spy x Family? Fear not, the Mafia Nanny is here!

Motivated by her traumatic past, Davina becomes a highly skilled “nanny” to protect and serve wealthy patrons. When she is hand-selected by the underboss of the Venetian mafia, Davina soon finds her biggest obstacle is the eager-to-join the family business 4 year old son of the underboss.

This was such a fun read and definitely fills that longing for the next season of Spy x Family. There’s action and a lot of hilarious moments. I’m excited to continue the series and see Davina and Mikey’s relationship grow. I was also surprised by how much Mikey’s father seems to overtly show his affection for his son. I feel like most stories like this usually portray the father as silently protecting their kids without any outward emotion. The house staff also seem like an amusing makeshift family, that will hopefully make more appearances. I wonder if they will get a big fluffy dog too?!

Thank-you so much to NetGalley and WEBTOONS for this ARC.

He’s the underboss of the angelini mafia. He needs someone to look for his 4 years old son, because bringing him to work is not ideal. She’s the Nanny he employed to look after his son. But she has ulterior motive, Gabriel might be the key to find the truth about her parent death.

Mikey is not happy about the nanny “crazy lady”. Since the death of his mom it’s only him and his dad. He goes to work with him and everything. So when the Nanny come to the picture, Mikey have abandon issues.

It was a good manwha/graphic novel. Love the art. But it was too short! We only get a glimpse of the story! We can see the potential of romance development between Gabriel and Davina. There’s some tension between them!

Mafia Nanny, Vol. 1 is an addictive blend of action, intrigue, and slow-burning romance that will keep readers hooked from start to finish. Davina is a strong, compelling protagonist, torn between duty and the shadows of her past, while Gabriel Angelini exudes the perfect mix of danger and charm. Their chemistry crackles on every page, adding an irresistible tension to the story.

The artwork is stunning, beautifully capturing both the elegance of the mafia world and the raw emotion behind each interaction. The storytelling is equally gripping, balancing high-stakes drama with heartfelt moments that make you deeply invested in Davina’s journey.

With its sharp dialogue, layered characters, and an engrossing plot full of secrets and suspense, Mafia Nanny is a must-read for fans of crime thrillers and forbidden romance. This first volume delivers on every level—I can’t wait to see what happens next!

If you enjoy Spy X Family, then The Mafia Nanny is absolutely for you. We have a badass FMC with a vendetta, an adorable kid who only wants to wear suits, and his father who happens to be the head of the mafia. There’s action, tension, banter, and suspense. What else could you ask for? I’ve actually been reading this series on Webtoon and I’m so excited to see that it’s going to be published as a graphic novel!

This was a cute and fun read. Davina is a elite nanny and she is hired to protect the son of the underboss of the mafia. She quickly assumes her role and is tested multiple times to ensure that she is indeed the right person to protect Mikey.

Life in Gabriel’s mansion is one of wealth and privilege and Davina never quite settles into it, but does everything in her power to get her job done well.

This was the beginning of what I have a feeling will be an adventurous and romantic webtoon in the vein of Spy X Family. If you love Spy X Family you will enjoy The Mafia Nanny. It is high stakes and full of adorable family moments and I adored every moment.

The art is beautiful and it reads as if you’re watching a anime unfold. It has everything that a great webtoon has to offer: good story, great characters, some mystery, amazing art, and a hook that will keep you coming back for more. I can’t recommend this story enough!

The plot moved at a very good pace, with sprinkles of intrigue, and was very well done.
