Okay yeah I read the Webtoon and more of it is out on the app than in this book. Of course, the story is good, even though this just sets everything up. I especially love the beginning when we first meet Mikey, the dynamic is just hilarious. It's a decent start and I'm excited to see where it goes!
Making webtoons in single page format has been a GAMECHANGER, I loved this webtoon when I found it, and now I love it even more now that I can read it comfortably on my Kobo without missing anything.
I’m so excited I was able to get an e-arc of one of my favorite WEBTOONs! I have been absolutely obsessed since discovering it because the tension between these two has been off the walls! And don’t even get me started on the adorable little baby who wears a suit!! If you loved these few episodes, absolutely run to WEBTOON to read the rest of the episodes!
I was luck to get an e-arc copy of this book! This webtoon has been a favorite of mine since I found it! The interactions between characters range from wholesome to violent but it has a lovely story! A nanny wanting to figure out her past, a mafia boss, and his son…what could go wrong?
First and foremost, thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this manga! The art style is stunning, the colors complementing each other nicely. The characters seem to come alive from the page! The storyline was action-packed, but with sweet and funny moments, that make this the perfect manga for fans of Spy x Family. It’s full of a few of my favorite tropes: mainly boss/nanny and single parent. Davina is an amazing character and her interactions with little Mickey were my favorites. Also, Mr. Angelini seems to be hiding a lot of secrets and I actually can’t wait to read more!
This was fun!
Great for people who like Spy x Family.
Really enjoyed the artwork. And I can't wait to watch these characters develop more.
Recommended.
First things first just like all webtoons volume one is just setting up for future chapters and I can't wait to dive in on the rest of this webtoon.
If you like...
Single Dads (who is so hot and the artist gives us full fan survice, yes plssssssss)
The cutest kid who wears a suit
Powerful FML who can take care of themselves
Mafia
I really enjoyed this and finished it all in one sitting. Cant wait to get a physical edition for my shelf!
4.5💗
I'm definitely going to continue this story in the webtoon because it was very interesting.
The literal story from the beginning already catches you, it doesn't have boring moments or anything, every moment is fun and interesting, the mafia involved, her past with said mafia, secrets and more secrets, I'm already making my theories hahaha, I liked it a lot.
Davina, Mikey and Gabriel, I love this dynamic between the three of them, I hope this is slow burn because I'm going to enjoy it a lot🙈
After a reading hiatus from WEBTOON, I appreciate NetGalley is able to share with me what Webtoons have become popular/posted while I was gone.
"The Mafia Nanny" by Shoo and Violet Matter is an exciting graphic novel regarding nanny MC, Davina's new assignment to protect an upcoming mafia heir child, "Mikey."
Davina's protectiveness and occasional bouts of compassion come from empathy of loneliness and loss after losing her own parents at a young age. She doesn't know what to completely expect as a ENA (Elite Nanny Academy) graduate given her first assignment. However, she doesn't take on the task timidly as she attempts to adapt and not let the crazy Mafia employer/setting she's in, intimidate or do her in. A sassy and competent nanny, who doesn't let her talents led to overconfidence nor a jaded attitude. Especially when said child doesn't often cooperate with her.
The combined beautiful art style and character moments here and there make the pages fly by. I'm looking forward to future character development, hopefully more action, and a developing romance as both the MC and the ML seem at professional and personality-based odds right now.
To be added on Goodreads when released. Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher(s) for this advance copy.
I absolutely loved this comic! What a great start to a (hopefully) long story. I really like the art style and I’m definitely a sucker for the mafia trope. I love that the main character has her own motivations and goals rather than just being a pretty face. Immediately went to webtoon to read more!
Like Mafia stories, badass nanny characters. This is a great story. We have a young girl who loses her family and becomes a Nanny for thoughts who need someone to take care of their kids but also make sure they stay safe. Davina gets her first assignment, and it is a challenge of a lifetime, and she will do anything to protect Milkey who seems to have a target on his back.
I loved this manga; it's a shame it ended so soon because it left me wanting so much more. The story is very captivating from the first pages and blends touches of drama and mystery with lots of fun, resulting in a very enjoyable read. The illustrations are spot on and complement the story incredibly well. I loved the main characters—they make the perfect trio—but the supporting characters also bring interesting moments to the plot, which is great.
I’m really craving more; the tension is there and perfectly placed, but I’m also eager to resolve the mysteries surrounding everything, and I would love to see how the relationships between Davina, Mr. Angelini, and Mikey develop <3
Thank you, NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this story in exchange for an honest review. I hope the second volume comes out very soon!! 🤍

Thank you, Netvalley, and Webtoon for the eBook for my honest review.
Davina was a young girl when her parents were killed and she was taken in by her nanny and brought to ENA (the elite nanny academy). 8 years later she graduates and get her first assignment. She is hand selected by Gabriel Angelini to watch his son Mikey. Gabriel is the underboss of the Italian mafia and after his wife was killed he has been taking Mikey on jobs with him. Davina has no idea why Gabriel picked her. Her new employer is cold, rude and untrusting. However there is a bit of romance tension. Davina is trying to protect and bond with her charge while trying to find information of who killed her parents.
The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is I felt the backstory of Davina’s parents was not clear. They don’t state what they did or who they were. It’s vague, just saying they had enemies. Which she may find out later in the books. However she took the job with Gabriel to get Information. But then she later researched Gabriel and the mafia he’s in. Even going on the dark web for information. So she didn’t take the job because her parents were in the mafia or killed by the mafia. Or at least we don’t get told that. I guess she just assumed he has information. But she didn’t even seem to know how high he was in the organization. The headmaster (her old nanny) also asked if she taking the job for the right reasons so she also knows she could get information from Gabriel.
This is my first ever manhwa and I am obsessed. need more. the art is magnificent and the story non-put-downable... their chemistry is afjhakjfhkjfzfgakfa
This was so fun and quick read for me damn I love each bit of it. Right from the characters to the plotline, how can anyone write such a unique and brilliant yet thrilling at the same time 🤌 story.
I absolutely loved the protagonist plus the side characters, all in total were a package of awesomeness 😁 i would say. I had a great time reading this.
4.5⭐️ I love this graphic novel/webtoon. The nanny trope is one of my favourites especially when the nanny is a bad@ss. The storyline is great a good combination of action and comedy. The art is beautiful. I can’t wait to see where the story goes.
Thank you to Netgalley and Wattpad Books for the ARC.
I've been reading this since it came out on Webtoons and re-reading the first few episodes was so fun! Mikey and Gabriele are so funny. The tension between Davina and Gabriel is so palpable you can cut it with a knife. I love this story so much.
The Mafia Nanny's premise sounded very promising, I have read other unscrolled books from Webtoons Catalogue like Curse Princess Club, but this webtoon was just done dirty. The format is weird and the story feels stilted as a result. It feels like it was meant to be read with continuous scrolling, not through pages. The story sounds intriguing, but in 200 pages, there was little character development shown. I hope the formating and positioning are fixed before its final release and I hope the characters feel more well-rounded as the series continues.
