Head back to the Cape in Pamela M. Kelley’s latest novel, The Christmas Inn. When Riley looses her job in marketing, she heads home to the Cape to help her mom at the family run bed and breakfast. While there, she is reminded of all the things she loved about living there, including her high school sweetheart. However, her life is in the city now. Can she really make the change? A cute story. Much needed in the chaos of life. I needed a happy ending sweet story!

Don’t you just love second chance romances? On top of that it is a Christmas romance. Pull up a cup of steaming hot cocoa with marshmallows on top, sit next to the fireplace on a cold snowy day and read The Christmas Inn.
We begin by meeting Riley Sanders. She is a content marketing manager without a job. Her department was eliminated right before Christmas. She receives word that her mother has a broken leg and needs help at the Inn. Riley rushes to her mother’s aid in Cape Cod. She is glad to spend time with her mother and guests of the Inn. Riley helps her mother with the cooking, cleaning, and some marketing. The Inn is fully booked after Riley works her marketing magic. Her high school boyfriend, Aiden, is a widower with a young son. They are staying at the Inn while their home is being renovated. He is just as handsome and sweet as he was in high school.
Riley’s boyfriend comes for a weekend visit but has a work “emergency” and rushes back to New York. That’s the problem, all he does is work. Nothing else is important to him. Riley returns to New York for a couple of job interviews. She is very excited about one but the other is a position with the firm where her boyfriend works.
Franny has four letters from her deceased sister, and they encourage her to continue living. Riley’s mother, Beth, meets Sean and the sparks fly.
This is a sweet second romance. It is squeaky clean. I enjoyed most of the characters. Riley has an important decision to make.
Thank you NetGalley for the review copy.
Cute book!....was not overly Christmas-y in my opinion but still a nice little love story for 3 couples.
This book was exactly what I expected. Cozy and full of small town cheer. Not only did we get Riley's story of discovering herself but we got to see her mom, and Frannie (an occupant of the Inn) rediscover themselves as well. While this is a romance, I would say that Riley's relationship with herself and her future were the true focus of this story. If you're looking for minimal drama and all feel-good wholesome Hallmark vibes then this is for you!
Thank you to NetGalley for the advance audio copy of this title. Riley is a marketing specialist in NYC who is laid off. On the same day, she gets a call from her sister telling her that their mom has broken her leg and needs help at her Cape Cod Inn. Riley spends a month on the Cape reconnecting with family and old friends as well as re-evaluating her life and relationships in NYC. An enjoyable listen.
This audiobook was charming and sweet! Though the story was mostly predictable, it wasn’t boring in the least. I was along for the story of a snowy inn on the Cape, the descriptions of food and drink and the lovely people I met along the way. Would recommend for a Christmas listen!
This is a sweet, fun, feel good book with “Hallmark Channel Christmas movie” vibes. Loved the story, loved the characters, and loved the romance.
Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for this cozy audio

The Christmas Inn by Pamela Kelley is a happy, feel-good holiday romance that embraces all the warmth and happiness that Christmas magic ushers in. Riley returns home for Christmas and to help her injured mom. She lost her job but is looking for something new and is optimistic about her future. What she did not anticipate was seeing Aidan, her high school sweetheart. Riley has a steady long-term boyfriend, but as she has time to step away and reorient her life and what brings her meaning, she starts to wonder what her future holds. I loved the unconditional support from her mom and her sister. The guests at the inn were delightful and added some fun layers to the story. I enjoyed all the book clubs, neighborly meals, and family time. There is a lot of reference to wine and cheese (and chocolate) as everyone gathers. It is a clean romance that focuses on second chances and fully embraces the holiday coziness.
I felt the narrator did a good job with this story. It was paced well, and all the characters had good vocal representation, male and female.

Review:
“The Christmas Inn” is a perfect blend of a warm and cozy novel with a hint of suspense! This is my first novel by Pamela Kelley, but not my last. I can’t wait to read more of her books. I loved every part of this storyline. The author masterfully navigates the plot from the small town comfy Christmas Inn, to the charming characters, to the importance of family, and the significance of work- life balance. In “The Christmas Inn” Pamela Kelley has created a relaxed, welcoming narrative whose overall theme is the importance of second chances. I highly recommend not only this book, but most definitely this author.
*Sidenote - I should note that I listened to the audio of this book, and I did feel the choice of the narrator played a larger role than normal for me on the overall rating of this book. She did an excellent job. Highly Recommended!

This was fantastic. This gave me all the happy feels and made me want to pull out my Christmas tree. The narration was wonderful. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this audiobook.
Reads like a Hallmark movie in book form. A heartwarming exploration of three women’s fresh starts at a pivotal time in their lives.
An unexplained job loss has Riley heading home just weeks before Christmas to help her convalescing mom run her inn. The perfect time to rethink life’s choices, especially when she comes face to face with her teenage sweetheart.
Beth (Riley’s mom) is barely coping with a broken leg while running her inn. Her daughter’s visit home breathes fresh life into the business and provides the catalyst for Beth making the acquaintance of a dashing carpenter.
Widowed Franny has just buried her sister and is spending the Christmas season at the inn before returning home until an unexpected reunion with an old flame has her second guessing what comes next.
Three second chance love stories (though lighter on the romance with more of a focus on the journey to get there) at the most magical time of the year. I enjoyed the three perspectives of women of different ages and stages in life. And the inn makes a perfect setting for these holiday romances.
Stephanie Nemeth-Parker’s audio book narration made for a pleasant listening interlude. A lovely match for these characters and their stories.
My thanks to MacMillan Audio and Net Galley for providing me with an audio edition of this book.
I am a sap for love and Christmas! This is the perfect little Christmas book that has me ready to visit the Cape in real life.
I liked this book was set in current time, mentions current authors, artists, etc and is super relatable. I am a small-town girl who enjoys the simpler things in life and that is everything this book portrays.
It's a well written, attention-grabbing story.
This audiobook made me SO ready for the cozy holidays despite it being the middle of July! lol What a cute holiday romance with humor, lovable characters, and all the atmospheric vibes. I'm probably going to have to buy this in hard copy because it just has to go with my Christmas book collection!
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
This was my first Pamela Kelly book and I do not think it will be my last. Our main character moves home to take care of her mother who runs a bed and breakfast because her job was replaced with Ai. ( I believe this will happen more in the near future.) While helping her mother she is introduced to a whole inn full of people from different backgrounds. When the time comes to move back home and get a job, she does, working at her boyfriends workplace. But is it what she wants now. Does the city life she loves have the same pull? I loved the characters and the narrator was wonderful. Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC.
When Riley Sanders returns to her family home on the Cape to help her mother with her B&B, she is surprised to see her former love and his son staying at the inn. But, Riley has a boyfriend in New York City and loves the city life, so she doesn't plan to get involved with Aidan. There are other stories in this novel: widow Franny has just lost her sister and is deciding on her next steps; Riley's mom is not interested in dating but feels rather lonely. All of these stories collide at the inn, where Christmas is approaching and Riley and her mom try to make it a warm and happy place for the guests.
I liked this story, as it has multiple aspects and is quite heartwarming. A great holiday listen! Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing an advance review copy of this audiobook. My opinions are my own.
This was a very cute, clean, and fluffy story. It was a good palate cleanser in between my typical thriller reads. I recommend it if you are looking for an easy, cute read that is sure to make you feel good. This is my first time reading a book by Pamela M. Kelley, and I look forward to reading more from her.
Pamela M. Kelley always writes such sweet stories. I love being at the Cape again and this puts me in the Christmas spirit. I just missed reading it in Christmas in July. I love that there was no cheating and a lot of adult talk. Like actual adults having real communication.
This audiobook was a lovely book filled with likable characters and multiple romantic and life changing storylines. Also, the setting of Christmas time on Cape Cod was a great backdrop for this enchanting book. A favorite of many Pamela Kelley’s books I have read. Give this a read no matter what the season.
I'm a big fan of Pamela M Kelley. Her books are so easy to get into. I also really enjoy Stephanie Nemeth-Parker as a narrator, I have listened to many.
The Christmas Inn is the perfect book for people that love Christmas Hallmark movies, just in book form. I am almost positive that there may be a couple Easter Eggs from other books as well. Some of the characters I could swear, I already knew.
Such a great story!
Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for the chance to listen to an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for the advanced copy of this audiobook. Just your feel good warm hearted holiday book. Christmas was not the focus of the story but neatly intertwined. Lost job right before Christmas, returned home, connected with high school sweetheart but also several warm tender stories but side characters keep the story going. I also need to go back to some of Pamela Kelley’s previous books because when she referenced other characters I think they are from previous novels. Not important to the plot just a fun connection. Put this on your Hallmark Christmas type books list. It’s a winner.
