This is a beautiful, spiritually uplifting guided meditation using Ignatian teachings from the Catholic Jesuits' philosophy. I grew up Catholic, and have been trying to find my way back. This is a lovely way to marry secular therapy tools with spiritual guidance as a way of finding one's way closer to God and to wholeness. I think sometimes religious books expect us to give our troubles to God and just believe that if our life isn't better we haven't worked hard enough. This book gives us important tools that guide us toward inner peace, while also using psychological tools such as 'name it to tame it" and talking problems out with an objective listener.

I highly recommend this book for churches, libraries, and Catholic faithful.

Very good book. I normally find Ignition spirituality to be at a different speed and level than my Dominican mind follows. This book is a great book to go through with a spiritual director, spouse or good friend. I especially loved the personal stories as well as the wise understanding. Learning about the author's perspective on the inadequacy of "God only gives you what you can handle"/ God puts struggles in our lives for us to grow and the option I consider more likely; we live in a broken world and while God does not wish us harm, He will travel through it with us. This would be a great book for those facing a spiritual crisis, or those who just want to grow closer in their relationship with God. I think it's best read in small amounts over time, rather than cover to cover, to allow the reader to journey through it with them.

This is a great book to help you grow closer to your faith. It is definitely something that should be ready slowly so as to allow for meditation. I like that it is easily digestible unlike the Ignation retreat. Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the arc!

This book is based on another book ‘Your Best Year Yet’, but with an Ignatian spin. I haven’t read the original book, but it seems that this one has been fairly closely modelled on the inspiration. It is a clearly written strategy for looking at what God is calling you to, and how to achieve that calling. This is not a book to be read in a hurry, and I’m still working my way through it. I find this book intriguing in the way it has blended Ignatian Spirituality and productivity goal-setting thinking.

If you are looking for a book to inspire you to be proactive about seeking God’s will, and then taking action, this is the book for you. This would also be an excellent book for starting off the new year.

This is a book that will enlighten you to your spiritual journey in God and I hope that we all can find God in that journey.
