What a brilliant book!!! Troubled unlikable characters. Twists and turns. Revenge, murder!! What's not to like?? When I saw this book, I thought it might be my sort of things but hadn't reckoned on it being so good. I couldn't wait to read just one more chapter and the turn at the end was great! I look forward to more from this new author!

Wow. How to Slay at Work is every entrepreneur's bad dream. It's an entertaining read for us.
I thoroughly enjoyed the witty dialogue and the devious doings of Freya and Millie.
The ending was a mind-blower in the best kind of way.

I totally loved the concept of this and Millie’s POV early on had me hooked. It gave me The Devil Wears Prada vibes but a murdery twist - what more could a girl like me ask for?
But while I’m a fan of dual POVs, this was probably the first book I’ve read where it didn’t work. As soon as Freya’s POV was introduced, I felt the story went in a completely different direction and it was hard for me to get back on track to the foundation that Millie had laid. I still thought it was an enjoyable read overall, despite the fact the storyline became a little convoluted with characters and side plots.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow! I absolutely loved this book. It was the perfect one to read during the first week of school, where I only had little spurts of time to read each evening or morning. The characters were “likably unlikeable” and the twists were incredible. I did not see that ending coming. If you like some of the humourous mysteries out there like the Finlay Donovan series, I would definitely check this one out when it becomes available at the end of September.

Millie's boss Freya is a bitch, no other way to describe her. When Millie's get a promotion to Freya's assistant she is travelling to various cities with her for conferences, but with each city there is another murder. Millie starts receiving texts telling her to join the dots with the cities she has been to with her boss and the murders. Is there any truth behind these messages.
An enjoyable funny read.

Freya is a killer boss, literally and figuratively.
Millie got an unexpected promotion that required her to work closely with her boss, Freya. This new role also involved frequent travel, but there was no increase in pay. One day, Millie noticed some suspicious behaviour from Freya and decided to investigate further. It was then that Millie discovered that Freya was actually a killer. She felt compelled to stop Freya from killing others.
This book is written in dual POVs—Millie and Freya. I enjoyed reading both POVs. I appreciate the author for including dual POVs, it shows the contrasting perspectives of Millie and Freya. It also highlights their dynamics and their thoughts about each other.
This book is full of unexpected twists and turns; something new unfolds after every few chapters. I enjoyed the roles of Lissa and Sam in the plot. The only thing I didn’t like was the rushed ending.
It was a fun and easy binge-read.

A fun little summer read with a few interesting twists! It does feel quite slow and you have to take everything with a grain of salt, but I still enjoyed reading this a lot

Devil wears prada meets serial killer, definitely my cup of tea! I really enjoyed this and read in one sitting, it was fast paced, had lots of twists (a lot of which caught me by surprise) and I enjoyed the narrative of the different POV's too.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book! Wow, so many twists and turns, I didn't know who to trust. Really enjoyed the ride!

This story has a good pace, especially for a Britsh book, and the plot is intricate and very good. The characters are also great, but I really dislike the changing first person POV.

Ty to NetGalley and publishers for the ARC!
This was a great read full of twists and turns. I love a good murder mystery.
Millie's boss, Freya, was a nightmare equivalent to Miranda Presley.
This is my first read by Sarah Bonner and I loved it!
You won't regret picking this one up.

Wow I was drawn in from the first pages Sarah Bonner writing is twisty turning with great characters.Looking forward to reading more by her.#netgalley #boldwoodbooks

I loved, loved, loved this book! It blends being dark with humour, and has so many twists and turns that you still won’t know how it ends until you get there. The book is written from 4 points of view, but I liked how each person was the point of view for a huge section of the book before it moved to the next person, so that you weren’t constantly back and forth between people. The overall theme wasn’t one I’d come across before, so I appreciated the originality of it, and the writing style was exceptional. I’d be surprised if this doesn’t become a bestseller

What a fun book. I’ve had some terrible bosses before, but none like this. It’s a wild ride filled with secrets and murder.

Interesting concept, wasn’t pulled off well.
Mild-mannered Millie starts to suspect her bitch of a boss, Freya, is a serial killer when she discovers there are people who died mysteriously every time she was on a business trip.
Too many characters changing direction in the middle of the story.
I wasn’t impressed by the ending.

In this fun, quirky mystery, Millie thinks her boss Freya might be a serial killer after an anonymous text sends her on a clue-filled adventure. With twists, turns, a love interest, and plenty of dilemmas, Millie must decide if she should report Freya to the police or see what she can get in return. It's a fun, light-hearted read with great likeable characters.

I really wish there were half stars. This is better than 3 stars but not really 4 stars. I like that it's original and made some sharp turns just as I thought I knew where it was going. I didn't like that there were some major coincidences and convenient occurrences in the plot which were just too hard to believe. I liked seeing the story from the different viewpoints but I didn't find the behaviour of the characters to always feel natural or in sync with their perceived traits. The concept is great but I think the final result could have been better. Enjoyable but flawed.

This is the first book I have read of Sarah, This was a fun and easy read. The book follows Millie who works for Freya at Serendipity a make up company . Freya is quite unapproachable and also acting very strangely. She quickly begins to piece together that a couple of seemingly unconnected murders that have recently occurred might not be so random and now Freya's old PA Sam is missing. I like that the book is also told from Freya's POV. This is a story of revenge, murder and relationships. I will be recommending to others

Twisty and twisted and fun! An enjoyable read with characters and situations that were relatable, and the author's style was perfect for this story.

I really enjoyed How to Slay at Work. It was full of suspense, drama, and betrayal.
I love books about female serial killers, and this definitely didn't disappoint.
I loved the storyline, it was very cleverly put together. I thought I knew exactly where it was headed, but I was completely wrong. The twists were fantastic, and I didn't see them coming at all.
At first I was a bit annoyed at the lack of detail with some of the slayings, but after finishing the book, I don't think more detail in those scenes would have fit into the aesthetic of the story.
Sarah Bonner is fast becoming a favourite. Both her previous books: Her Perfect Twin and Her Sweet Revenge were fantastic, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
I highly recommend.
5 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
