I really enjoyed this volume 1! It was cute and has heartwarming moments that made me reflect on my own relationship with my pet. If you are looking for a fluffy easy read this is perfect!

This manga was absolutely cute and fluffy! ;) The dynamic between the characters were incredibly heartwarming and super sweet. The initial misunderstandings based on how Chiharu and Kiyotaka interacted with their dogs were hilarious and perfectly balanced. It wasn't drawn out too long, nor was it rushed, allowing for a satisfying realization of their true feelings. Overall, a precious "feel-good" story that’ll leave you with positive emotions lingering afterward.

A romance for dog lovers! Chiharu has a big personality in a small frame which stands out even more when she's out with her sweetheart Rottweiler, Tsubu-chan. Kiyotaka is a shy giant who swoons over his fluffy pomeranian, Monjuro. A chance encounter leads to long walks and developing feelings that neither seems able to recognize yet.

It's adorable and sweet and all the positive emotions you could possibly think to assign to a story. Chiharu and Kiyotaka are total opposites in everything from their choice of dog to their personalities, but they're a perfect match when it comes to emotions and the love they have for their furry companions. There are a ton of great emotional and comedic moments to keep things interesting and it always feels like the plot is moving even when what we're seeing are flashbacks.

The art is nothing special but it conveys the adorableness of the doggies and the emotions of everyone perfectly so it works wonders with the story.

I'm looking forward to picking up the next volume.

It was really cute and perfect for dog lovers. I liked the contrast of personality between FL and ML and between their dogs. The romance looks promising and I am looking forward to pick the next volume.

This had me from the first page. It's cute, so, so cute. The mind that has you smiling and giggling to yourself. I love the personality of each character, pets included. Their thoughts and feelings towards other pet owners in public makes me feel seen. Animal lovers must read this. I will be recommending this to several coworkers and customers at my store.

This is such a cute manga. I love dogs and these characters have such a cute chemistry. It’s always adorable when the two leads have complete opposite personalities and they slowly start falling for each other.

While pitched as an "Opposites attract" with a title to relfect, this manga is about a slow developing friendship between 2 dog owners. While they are mutually attracted to eachother, they initially reach out and start talking because of their dogs. Sharing puppy supplies and going on playdates will hopefully lead up to actual ones. So far in this first volume they are just getting to know the other person. This isn't the most exciting, but they're genuinely nice individuals and its relaxing and calm to watch them interact and open up. I can see this becoming a series I come back to when I am having a bad day or need a pick me up.

In fiction its rare to see an animal character that isn't fully anthropromorphic. At one point the dogs do have a converation, but for the most part they exsist as closest to real pets. Their relationships with their owners are very sweet and caring. As a single cat mom it's nice to see parts of my days with her reflected here.

I would recommend this to someone looking for a slowburn and cute romance as well as any pet owners (not just dog ones).

This is such a cute and quick slice of life story. I love the opposites attract trope and in this story we have lots of versions of it. From the owners and their opposite dogs to their respective relationship human to human. The ongoing gag that Chiharu can't control her strength and will thusly crush little things is so funny to me. I also love a gentle giant so Kiyotaka is so cute to me. Overall just a really fun and cute quick episodic story. Very light on the romance since it was volume one but still super fun. Can't wait to read more of this series.

Stories about animals are my weakness. Here we have a very cute manga about a fragile girl with a big dog and a brave fireman with a small dog. In general, the story is about such completely different owners and their dogs and how these people (along with their pets, of course!) keep meeting by chance on the street.

Cons: first of all, both the drawing and the story itself (although it is not that there actually is any proper story? but anyway) are quite simple. In addition, constantly hyperbolized repetitions were tiring. For example, the girl's thoughts like "oh my god, how is he touching such a small dog???? how is he not afraid to crush her???????". And there were actually a lot of different moments like this one.

BUT, overall, I still kinda liked it, so I recommend you give it a try if you want something nice and cozy to read.

This is adorable. I was a little worried when I requested it that the humour might be in bad-taste in some way, but it very effectively subverts gender norms and has a compelling humour. Both characters are very likeable, and while this is very slice-of-life, it does feel like there's a lot of depth to the characters that will probably be revealed in later volumes.

The art style is really pretty and the dogs are absolutely adorable.

This is such a feel-good manga where we meet Chiharu, Kiyotaka and their respective dogs, the exact opposite of themselves. Chiharu’s dog Tsubuchan is a dark giant: a Rottweiler, but despite his size and reputation as a dangerous breed, he is just a shy and sweet looking scaredy-cat. Kiyotaka’s dog, Monjuro, is a tiny white Pomeranian, whose personality is outgoing and daring. Both Chiharu and Kiyotaka meet in more than one instance, and they decide to hang out together so their dogs also get to befriend each other. What they don’t know is that they might be the one’s to befriend each other faster than their dogs…and maybe some other feelings might arise from these casual meetings.

The drawing style in this is absolutely adorable, I cannot wait to start making reaction stickers with the doggies faces because they are so expressive. The story, at least until now, does not get very deep into the characters backgrounds, their likings and worries; but as an introductory volume I feel like it gives you the perfect first impression on both to make you attached to them and leaving you wanting to know more. The start of their “romance” (as this is not yet developed, only some cute interaction which will make your heart melt) is also quite interesting as it is clear that both of them need in their life a person like the other. Chiharu needs someone to calm her and understand her independent self, while Kiyotaka could use some more energy and fun which Chiharu can guarantee with her clumsy self.

Overall, I would recommend it if you want a really easy to read and follow story which will make you laugh and want to get a dog only to fall in love at the dog park!

Seriously, Chiharu and Kiyotaka are so adorable you’re sure to get diabetes just from reading this first volume of is sure to be a great story. Personally, I’m more of a cat person, but Tsubu-chan the Rottweiler is really making me think that getting a dog wouldn’t be so bad. He’s way too cute for his own good. Though I gotta say, even though he was only in there for a little bit, Kiyotaka’s little brother is probably my favorite character. Poor kid’s going to be third-wheeling throughout this story.
I can’t really think of anything else to say other than the art style is cute, and while the flow of the first chapter was a little too fast for my taste, it seems the rest of the story moves at a more reasonable pace.
Overall, Pupposites Attract is a fluffy story perfect for romance and dog lovers alike.

Tsubu is the best!!!

It is about two lovely people with their best furry friends written in short stories like format. Theres also hints of a blossoming romance. Very heart warming; I truly enjoyed it for what it was. Dog lovers should definitely check it out :)

I just finished reading “Pupposites Attract,” and I immediately fell in love with the simplicity and charm of this story. As someone who adores dogs, I found myself really connecting with the situations presented, especially the dynamic between the two main characters and their completely opposite dogs.

Hono Natsuna’s art is subtle yet full of expression, perfectly capturing the personalities of the dogs and the emotions of their owners. The humor throughout the story is light and spontaneous, leading to plenty of laughs and “aww” moments. The reading experience is smooth and well-paced, allowing me to get fully immersed in the story without feeling rushed.

What I enjoyed most was how the narrative highlights the everyday joys and challenges of having a dog, along with the growing relationship between the characters. Even though the plot follows a somewhat predictable path, the execution is so charming that it didn’t lessen my enjoyment at all.

That said, I recognize that for those who prefer more complex plots, “Pupposites Attract” might feel a bit too light. But for me, that’s exactly what makes this manga shine: it offers a pleasant, heartwarming story, perfect for unwinding and enjoying.

Overall, I loved “Pupposites Attract” and would recommend it to anyone looking for a light read, especially if you’re a dog lover like me. I’m excited to see how the story unfolds in the next volumes!

A really cute, softly and cozy read.

I like the theme because I have pets as the story say and I love them too much, also a lot of dogs from differents dog breeds, so I could understand when someones didn't match the dog has. Some people look rude, big and intimidating but have little pets and dogs super adorable, meanwhile other people cute has big and stronger ones.

The thing is I like the manga because you always judge people from the cover, are not always the same at it seems, you need to know better the person to see the other layers, and after Chiharu and Kiyotaka start interacting with eachother could see more of eachother rather than judge by their own pets, showing their truly personality, the one that only their dogs see, making them opposites that attract to each other.

Both characters are lovable. Chiharu is the atypical girl who looks cute but have a lot of strength inside her to carry a Tsubu food -a 15kg feed bag- like nothing else and even tho she's a teacher from children. Kiyotaka has also big body and strength but can control it, more after know why is so political and where he used it. Both are really incredible, even we know more about Chiharu + Tsubu backstory, they introduce both characters so well. I hope know more about Kiyotaka.

I'm really interesting to follow the story knowing more about them, I love a good shoujo and more with pets.

This manga is a cute and fluffy story. I don't particularly want to continue the story, just wasn't something I usually read, but I did think it was a nice refresher if I was reading my usual.
