What happens when fashion-loving, tomboy fan Nagi meets androgynous model Aran? Sure, she always thought he was a woman, but getting to know him as a man despite her being super nervous around men is an edge of an open door toward something more! And we as readers almost get that something more like 6,000 times, but it's understandable she's nervous, and even when he's pushy he backs away... despite seeming to actually really like her, more than the playboy you would assume him to be would seem.
I enjoyed this spicy little book; it moved pretty quickly and I like genderplay and role-reversal type things in stories so I had a good time! I'll be keeping up with this one in the future.

3.75 Stars!
The tropes, the art style, the story, it's all too entertaining, incredible and relatable. This manga is so fast paced that it feels like one second you're closing your eyes to blink and the once you opened them again you have already finished reading it.
'That Beauty is a Tramp' leans more onto the new adult category, so if you're interested in that genre and you like fake dating and when the mmc becomes the coach and teaches the fmc to be more confident in herself to date, then you should definitely read this!
I can't wait to read the next volumes!
Err, That Beauty Is a Tramp was not for me, really. Nagi is a tomboyish woman, who wants to date, but cannot. The reason is her experience from the past and now she's somewhat allergic to guys. She ends up meeting this androgynous male model called Aran. Aran wants the woman to be his model companion and for that he promises to pretend to be Nagi's boyfriend. Then it's feelings and sexy times the whole time and none of it makes any sense. The whole thing happens so fast and I at last need some kind of an explanation to everything. Nagi isn't model, so why Aran thinks she can do it just like that? Who even needs experience? Right. This felt like a cheap erotic romance that's not even that erotic. I'm certainly not the target for this, since I want credibility and that flew out of the window the instant I started the manga.
The art is OK, although there's hardly anything in the background. The manga is mostly talking heads and sexy times more than I can count, but some people must enjoy this for this to be published. Good for them - bad for me.
The art is beautiful. And this was quite a fast paced manga I feel like a lot happened in this volume. Nagi is kind of a Tom boy in her personal style and is attracted to more beautiful men. She also has a hard time with interacting with men and feels uncomfortable around them in general. A super star model sees her and is attracted to her immediately ( he is her big crush) and they begin fake dating. By the end of volume one, we are questioning if this is becoming real for the two of them. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW
They're so cute!!! There were times when Aran was a bit pushy with Nagi and he'd stop but sometimes he wouldn't so... beware of the dubious consent. I do genuinely think he cares about her a lot even though they haven't known each other long. It looked like they were going to fess up and say they actually have feelings for one another (IN VOL 1?!?!?!?) but I guess that'll have to wait. I love how they've kissed several times already though! And not because he's initiated the kiss but because she's initiated it too.

MAIN REVIEW:
👜 → I love the art-style and the details in each panel, it is a little all over the place at the very start but it gets better
👜 → The fmc, Nagi, is a girl who usually dresses as a guy and hates being touched by other men, shes an aromantic who happens to also love romance novels and pretty girls. I know people like her, I feel like a lot of people will love her character. Her conversations felt a little robotic at the start but you start to understand a little better and see why she is, the way she is.
👜 → The mmc, Aran, is an androgynous model and I enjoy his character but it was kinda insta-lovey which really isn’t my cup of tea but then again I did really enjoy it.
👜 → I finished this within 20-30 minutes. it’s very fast paced so I highly recommend it for people looking to read something fast paced with a good art-style.

pre-reading:
Mangas, Graphic Novels are my forte. I may not have been a harry potter kid but I was always an anime and manga kid so im gonna enjoy this 🤭
I love myself a androgynous hot mess express! It's interesting seeing each of the main characters approach their relationship with opposite strengths and weaknesses, be it physical chemistry or emotional intelligence.
This is a NetGalley Approved review!
I really liked the art in this, the people are so beautiful and the fashion was really cool! I like the main characters essentially the female lead, I feel the same about clothes. A tomboy who can't wear certain things just admires them on other people. I felt the physical stuff was a little fast and uncomfortable though hence the 4 stars.
A truly unexpected story, I have to admit that I didn't appreciate him right away because first he claims to have so many relationships and then he acts jealous, let's say he doesn't know coherence.
but he's really cool and I will definitely start to appreciate him.
She's very cute, I appreciate her being strong for certain things and instead being shy and insecure for others.
absolutely super cute.
The art on this is so very pretty. Worth reading, just for that. The characters are likable enough however that I look forward to watching them grow and their relationship evolve.
Biggest quibble was that it actually was on the shorter side, so we didn't have as much time for plot advancement or character development as I would like. Will definitely read more.
The art in this is beautiful and since it involves fashion, the styling and clothes are fun to see. Nagi seems like such a cool, fun girl who just wants to be able to have a normal relationship with a man but because of an incident in college seems unable to. She ends up meeting Aran who she thinks is a girl but is a male who is becoming big in the model world for his androgynous looks. It turns out that she has no problems when he touches her and so she agrees to help him with a photo shoot if he will help her overcome her fear of a man’s touch.
I really liked the dynamic between the two. He has all the confidence and she is effortlessly cool without really knowing it. She just needs the confidence to realize who she really is and Aran is slowly starting to show her. I’m really excited for where this series is going. It’s fast paced, beautifully drawn, and the romance is going places.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for sharing this book with me in exchange for my honest review.
The female main character, Nagi, suffers from low self esteem and cannot be touched by men, until she meets Aran. I really like that the love interest is so comfortable in his own skin and dresses both feminine and masculine.
I will say, I find Nagi to be slightly insufferable and Aran to be a bit pushy. I didn’t love the story line all that much as I feel like things never progressed and it was repetitive.
The illustrations were really well done and enhanced the story tremendously.
Thank you NetGalley, Hal Osaka, and Kodansha Comics for the ARC.

Perfect for a new adult audience (or perhaps older teens), this manga follows Nagi, who is steeped in her career. She ogles over androgynous model Aran, only to find that he's just too hot to handle. When Aran surprises Nagi by asking her to do a photo shoot with him, she obliges, but only if he acts as her boyfriend for one month to help her get over her inability to accept touch from men. Aran does not have this affect on her, making him the perfect candidate. He's certainly well-versed in women, as he is constantly dating someone, or even multiple someone's! Thinking him a tramp, Nagi aims to get over her fear and not fall for Aran in the process.
The initial pacing feels rather quick. A bit more time could have been taken with exploring Nagi's back story and her repulsion to men's touch. Though once it picks up for the main plot, it is fast-paced and impossible to put down. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous and it's thoroughly enjoyable to just enjoy the stylistic choices of outfits, hair, body shape, and facial expressions.
This is definitely a manga for hopeful romantics, shoujo, new adult readers, and potentially older teens of a more mature caliber.
That Beauty is a Tramp is such a fun and easy read. The art is also very nice as this was what drew me in in the first place. The story line goes as FL is a bit tomboyish but definitely wants romance with a man but she has a bit of trauma. While for the ML, he's an androgynous model. He wears female clothing and he always nails it! FL is a fan of Aran-chan (the female persona of the ML) and she didn't know that he is a male. They somehow ended up in a fake relationship contract. So it's fun to see how they change. I like how the ML is so confident and he tries to soothe and make the FL feel she is worth it and that she is beautiful. I hope to read the next volume because I am definitely hooked!
That Beauty Is a Tramp
Release August 13
Ahhh!?!?! Absolutely loved volume one and can't wait for more. The art is gorgeous too! This series gave me an adult version of In the Clear Moonlit Dusk vibes. Our female lead has a tomboyish look and the male lead is androgynous, who is willing to help the FL. Nagi continuously gets swept up in Aran’s pace, but Aran backs off without complaint when Nagi is scared/uncomfortable. I like that the authors did this since sometimes when the male lead is too pushy in a series it can be a turn off.
Summary:
Nagi has a tomboyish look and loves the model Aran-chan. Although to her colleagues, she is uninterested in men or romance; when in fact she is. However due to an experience in college, anytime a guy touches her she breaks out in goosebumps and trembles.
She is excited to attend a fashion show, since her favorite model will be walking in it. To her surprise, Aran-chan is actually a man- an androgynous model. During the show Aran spots Nagi in the crowd and approaches her saying she is his destiny. Still shocked by the fact Aran is not a female model, Nagi experiences another surprise when Aran asks her to be his partner in an upcoming photo shoot. Unable to reply, Nagi is swept into Aran’s pace and dragged to a suite where he wants to teach her some poses they would be doing. During this lesson, things heat up as Nagi wants to go further with Nagi. However their time is up, leaving Nagi dumbfounded why she is ok with Nagi touching her.
Thank you @Netgalley and @kodanshamanga
for the chance to read the ARC.
The art is really pretty. The story is interesting, I like Aran. He’s a little pushy but still respects her boundaries which is refreshing. I love how they are slowly falling for each other, I don’t usually love fake dating but it’s well done here.
This type of story was not new to me for I have read another manga where the male lead is also an androgynous model/idol, so I kinda have expectations but the art was good btw though I kinda want Aran to be more feminine if he really is an androgynous.
The story goes with the Nagi who is a bit of a tomboy but definitely wants to experience romance but she has a bit of condition where she feels weird/goosebumps by simply being touched by a man; and Aran who is a known androgynous model. He used to model for female brands and now he wants to widen his experience by also modeling for male brands. Nagi is also a fan of Aran-chan (she didn't know that Aran is a man). They somehow end up in a contract where Aran will be Nagi's temporary boyfriend (until the Nagi gets used to a man's touch).
I like how the Aran is so confident and he tries to soothe and make the Nagi see her worth and that she is beautiful.
The volume ended with a great cliffhanger that makes reader want to read more of what will happen to Nagi and Aran as Aran shows a hint of jealousy.
PS. I thought this was smut because of the first panel.
PPS. Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha for this wonderful arc!
This was a beautifully illustrated manga about Nagi, a masculine presenting woman, who has issues with intimacy with men, and Aran an androgynous man.
It is a story about dealing with your problems and not just letting life pass by.
Come for the beautiful art, and stay for the unexpectedly great plot.
Four stars!

Please give me the second volume!!! Omg. I love this one! I liked how strong the FL is. She is indeed a bit tomboyish while the ML is an androgynous model. Perfect fit, if I daresay!
I also wish this is a smut manga. They look so good together!🫶🏻
Kodansha Comics provided an early galley for review.
When it comes to manga for me, an eye-catching cover or an interesting premise is usually what pulls me in. Both were present with this series, which was originally published in 2020 in Japan.
As expected, the artwork is fantastic. Since the story is centered in the world of photography and fashion, it is only natural to see the characters dressed in amazing outfits. Osaka conveys the styles and fabrics flawlessly with his linework and inking techniques. And, the character faces are just beautiful.
As for the story itself, it is very much an adult romance filled to the brink with sexual tension. The emotions and desires run high throughout. Of course, the plot tends to go down a typical path which sets up the stakes for the next volume. However, even if it is built upon narrative themes as old as time, it still manages to keep it fresh with the aforementioned style and fashion.
Since the story itself sets up a temporary time limit of one month, hopefully this story will not be drawn out too long before reaching its conclusion. I would be very happy for another couple of volumes at least as long as the quality remains at the high level of this first one.
