I started this book initially without reading the first 2 books. I made it about 20 minutes in and decided to go back and read those. These are interconnected standalones but after going back and reading the first 2, it explained some things I was confused about at the beginning of this book. So I definitely recommend starting with those.
After reading the first 2 books, I was a little disappointed by this book. I had such high hopes and was a little let down. I liked the storyline but didn't really connect with the characters like I did in the other books. I'm also not a huge fan of the on again, off again relationship trope so that didn't help the cause.
All that being said, there were parts of the book I enjoyed. I loved seeing the progression of the characters from the previous books and I absolutely loved the diversity of all the characters throughout the entire series.

Natalie did it again. I already knew Leo & Sofi would be amazing. Their banter and sexual chemistry was always off the charts hot. I felt so connected to both of them and the struggles and I really felt for each of them. Sofi & Leo are two characters that are easily lovable —in my opinion and I feel that people need to hear their stories. It’s important

This one was decent, but it didn’t blow me away. I liked the setup—enemies-to-lovers with plenty of banter, which is usually my jam—but *ugh*, the third-act breakup. Why do authors keep doing this? It felt so unnecessary and just dragged the story down for me.
That said, there were parts I enjoyed. The chemistry between the main characters was there, and some of their back-and-forth had me laughing. But the breakup felt forced and predictable, which took me out of the story.
Overall, it’s not a bad read if you’re looking for something light and fun, but the third-act drama might leave you rolling your eyes. Proceed with caution if that trope isn’t your thing!

Where do I even start with this book???
First, I had no idea that was book 3 in a series but it can be read as standalone.
Second, I looveeeeddd it!!! Even though I got the e-ARC, I ended up listening to it in audio and I’m so glad I did because the audio was spectacular! It really added to the story and made me fall even more in love with the characters.
Bonbon de caramelo is now my new favorite nickname and can I please have a dose of Leo because I can melt for him! 🫠 I loved Sofi and Leo’s relationship and how they had a history but at one time I was actually mad at Sofi for being so hard on him, even though i understand where she was coming from. But man, Leo is everything and he deserves so much.
But more than the chemistry between Sofi and Leo- I loved every single side characters. The grandparents were my favorite!! While I may not be Puerto Rican, I am Latina and I identify so much with the culture. It was pure joy and so accurate.
I can’t say enough good things about this book! I can’t wait to go back and read book 1 and 2 next. Natalia’s work is amazing and deserves to be hyped up!

While I enjoyed, there were some things I didnt connect with. I feel like I always run into this issue when Im looking to read a book, and the best things people are praising it for is the representation. Representation is AMAZE BALLS, but I think it's important to have a great story and the representation is just there. Im a Black Latina, and while I did relate to some of the things the fmc went through, and even though it wasnt so overt where it was annoying, it was just weird how she made this amazing mmc who was well rounded despite his rep, but she felt kind of one dimensional. Maybe she just suffered from the tale as old as time, where the mmc is just handled better because thats who were being set up to fall in love with, and the just gets whatever. It was a fun read and I would still recommend! I just like fmcs to be just as interesting as the mmc! Great palate cleanser!

This book was a cute romance. I am glad for the opportunity to read it thanks to Netgalley and HTP the Hive. I enjoyed this smart and sexy novel very much.

✅ The third book in the Vega family series, set in Chicago
✅ Sofia Santana, 30, and Leo Vega, former firefighter, current mixologist
✅ Sofi is Leo’s sister Kamilah’s best friend and Sofi and Leo have been in an on-again, off-again relationship. Sofi has returned to town after being estranged for a year and 7 months and is a little prickly cactus
✅ meddling family members
🌶️: mmhmm sure is

This was my first time reading anything by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I will definitely read more by her

Natlie's third book gives the drama, romance, and culture in this beautiful book. Out of the three books in the series, Sleeping With The Frenemy is the best in the series.

I have never read anything by this author before, but I really enjoyed reading this book. The pacing was good and the character's were developed very well.

As a puertorrican this series have a special place in my heart. Not only because I am from PR but because I also have family that left the island for better life and cousins who didn’t grew up in PR. I will always give voice to these novels because as minority they deserve all the love.

Sleeping with the Frenemy is a near-perfect realization of the best-friend’s-brother trope. Sofi and Leo have been sneaking around for nearly 15 years without breathing a word to Sofi’s bestie and Leo’s sister, Kamilah. When Sofi and Kamilah have an unrelated falling out, Sofi decides to leave the country—and Leo—behind to live out her Parisian fantasies. But as Kamilah’s wedding draws near, the two women reconcile, pulling Sofi back into Leo’s orbit and forcing her to work closely with her off-again-on-again love once more.
This story hooked me from the very beginning, as Natalie’s dedication hit oh-so-close to home. I couldn’t agree more that this story is for the girls whose fathers broke their hearts before anyone else could. It’s more than just a romance—it’s a testament to the strength and resilience of every girl who never got to be a daddy’s girl.
I deeply appreciated the ADHD rep in Leo and loved seeing him wrestle with his own perceptions of his abilities and how he believes others see him. Even the third-act breakup, which I usually dislike, worked for me here—it was just that well done.
I’ll absolutely be reading more of this series!
Thanks to NetGalley & HTP for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A satisfying end to the Vega family series. Sofi and Leo's story was compelling and heartwarming. The second chance romance storyline was well executed. I especially liked reading the relationship between the Santana women and how they supported each other. And I enjoyed reading
more about Kamilah and Liam from book one.

Sleeping with the Frenemy is the third book in the Vega Family Love series. I loved the first two books, so was excited to see what was in store for Sophie and Leo.
I really loved it. It's my favorite of the series, so far. If you're a fan of banter and swoon, meddling grandparents, food puns, grand gestures, and dogs stealing the show, then this is the book for you! Just make sure to read the first two books in the series first!
Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

This is entertaining read, love the characters, plot, secret on and off again relationship, chemistry, romance, attraction, witty, great camaraderie, family dynamics and page turning adventure. I missed books 1 and 2 in this series but I was able to follow along. Sofi and Leo have shared a secret on and off again love romance since high school. Sofi is back home after being in Paris. With all that has been going on in Sofi’s life her grandmother and Leo’s grandfather are plotting against them and doing their level best to get the couple together. Throw in a rescue dog and this makes for an awesome second chance at romance for both Leo and Sofi.
I received an ARC via NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing Mira and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

I have loved reading about the Vega family ever since being introduced to them a few years ago in my romance book club when we read A Proposal They Can’t Refuse, so I was absolutely ecstatic to find out that we would finally be getting Leo’s love story, as he has always been one of my favorites.
There were so many things I enjoyed about this. I loved having the chance to learn more about Sofi and her family, and I was very thankful that the conflict that was left open as a bit of a cliffhanger in the first book was resolved quickly. I also enjoyed the many flashbacks peppered in so that we could see Leo and Sofi’s relationship develop over the years and appreciated all of the scenes where we get to see the whole Vega family. Abuelo is perfect as always and I adored seeing Kamilah and Liam happy and in love. And on the new character front, there was not a single thing about Sofi and Leo’s puppy Tostón that was not delightful.
My only complaint was that I wasn’t the biggest fan of the third act breakup and way they reunited, but I would not say it took away from my overall enjoyment of the book.
This was an absolute delight of a book and a wonderful installment to the Vega Family Love Stories. I definitely recommend it, especially if you read the others in the series!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love this book so much., I love a good second change romance and this didn't disappoint. thank you net galley for being amazing with me!
Natalia is such a good writer and I am obsessed

Read if you like: second-chance romance, close proximity, best friends brother, banter
Sophi and Leo have had a tumultuous relationship and I liked how they worked out conflict. This was a good second chance romance so if you like that trope, you might want to check this one out! While it is a third in a series, I don't think you need to read the other two, but they are also good!

So i loved the way this book started and the call backs to the other standalones in this interconnected series. I was like ok amazing this is all going together so well. there were some times where i was getting confused with the time jumps or flashbacks per say. i got lost in where we were at but then it came along. i really liked the second chance romance, childhood crush, and best friends brother romance aspect. all of those tropes hit the mark and were executed very well. i also appreciate the adhd rep. i am reading another book right now with adhd representation and i feel like authors lately have been doing such a good job with giving that diagnosis a platform and helping others gain a better understanding of it. other than that, i felt like this book was okay. there was so much drama, i felt like it took away from the relationship parts between leo and sofi. this is still an enjoyable series though and will still recommend it to others.

Ahh, to be back with the Vega family! Finally get Leo’s story! Fun, spicy and drama! Love seeing the Vega family back getting in everyone’s business!
