Thought this was going to be a longer clip than it was. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the novel and reading other works by this author.

I can't wait to finish. Listening to the excerpt from this book reminded me that I may like to re-read the first in the series. I highly recommend the audiobook, the narrator is fantastic. I love when they use many different voices in their narration and dialogue acting. (Particularly voice of Arthur Parnassus) With fantasy books I sometimes shy away from audio because it is more difficult for me to follow the rules of the universe, etc. I don't find that problem with this audiobook.

Well done, bring it on!
Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Book to be published September 17, 2024.

I don't know that I have ever been so excited for an upcoming release!! I loved this sneak peek so much.

Can only rate the narrator for the sneak peak. I’m glad to hear that it is the same individual that has been used in the past. Excellent choice. The low rating is because it is only a sample.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for this sneak peak audio ALC!!!!!!!!

I love Daniel Henning! He’s the master of the storytelling narration universe!

I have missed these characters so much! A reread of Cerulean Sea is going to happen! Chauncey and Luci still have my dark little heart.

Anxiously awaiting the full audio…. Macmillan, can I please get it???

Thank you for this snippet of the upcoming new release! I am a huge fan of Under the Cerulean Sea, and I look forward to seeing what has happened to my favorite crew of usual children and the happy couple! While this audio-only included about 50 minutes, I was happy to see it included a prequel and part of the first chapter. And a glimpse of what life is now for Arthur, Linus, and the kids. It appears this book will include more on Arthurs's backstory, which I look forward to reading about.
It sounds like the same narrator from the first book. I would have preferred a new narrator, or maybe adding a second narrator.
I plan to buy the physical book, and maybe later follow up with the audio. Either way, this is one of my most anticipated new releases!

I will give a proper rating once I have read the whole book, but the sneak peek has got me very excited for this sequel! The narrator is super engaging, so it makes the listening experience way better! I’m counting down the days until this release!

I’m so excited that Somewhere Beyond the Sea will be out soon. Also, very happy the narrator is the same as cerulean sea. When I listened to the first book, I was taken away on a magical journey. The narrator has so many different and unique voices that match each character perfectly. I liked the beginning of this book, giving us a tiny background story when Arthur first came back to the island. I’m a true fan of T. J. Klune and can’t wait until the full book is available to read in September.

I just read the first book in this series recently and absolutely adored it! I wish that this hadn't just been a sneak peek because it's hard to review such a small portion of a book. I am really excited for the full audiobook and I'm glad that it's the same narrator. I love all his voices for the different characters!

I did not realize this was such a short sampler. It's only about 25 minutes so I do not feel comfortable rating the whole book yet. I look forward to rating this once I read/listen to the full book. Based on the brief preview, I am really looking forward to it! Mostly I can comment on the narration style, which I thought was fine. The narrator is Daniel Henning, who has done several other TJ Klune audiobooks. He's a well established audiobook narrator, so I anticipate no issues with the full book narration. I was immediately transported back into the world of The House on the Cerulean Sea, even though it's been years since I read it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing an eARC of this audiobook.

Aghhhh oh my gosh I adore this series so much!! It was an absolute delight to return to this cozy world and these beloved characters. This little snippet had all the things I loved about the first book - humor, heart, and whimsy. The found family vibes are so strong in this book. Somehow this snippet made me more emotional than book 1 did just by showing how far all the characters had come in their journey and how much of a true family they've become 🥹. The narrator does a wonderful job of adding to the quirkiness of the world by giving each character a distinct voice. I adored this snippet and I cannot wait to get my hands on the full book!

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the sneak peak!

I don't want to provide a rating until I have read the full story, but the sneak peak has me even more excited than I already was for this sequel. The narrator is engaging and this snippet brought me right back into this wonderful universe. With audiobooks, the narrator can definitely make or break the story, but from what I heard the narrator added to the experience. Counting down until this one comes out! Based on the sneak peak, I will definitely be checking out the audiobook.

It's been three and a half years since I first read The House in the Cerulean Sea, but the first four chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea brought me straight back into the story! I'm so thrilled that the author has chosen to continue with this world and these characters and now I can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds. It sounds like there will be new characters to love and new villains to hate.

This audio book narrator does such a good job with Arthur and has me even more excited to be back in this world. Plus the voices he does for each of the children are absolutely adorable!

Thank you to Tor, the author, and Netgalley for this sneak peak.

Lols I am sure I will love this and can’t wait to read it but I didn’t realize this was just a sneak peek. I will wait to read until I can enjoy all of it.

I can’t wait to listen to the entire book. I absolutely loved the house in the cerulean sea. I loved the author way of storytelling and capturing the readers attention.

It’s so sad that they’ve been doing these previews with this book, I don’t understand it. I’ wish I would have realized it was only a sneak preview.

So sad this was only a sneak peek. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the novel. Maybe in the meantime, I should read the first book.....

I love TJ Klune and am eagerly awaiting this sequel. Listening to this excerpt is not enough. I need to hear and read more. I love Arthur, Lucy, Linus, and the children and cannot wait to go through the beautiful journey the rest of this book will take me on.

I have to admit this narrator, used in other of Klune's works is not my favorite. I think when the full book is released I will choose to read it, rather than listen. Nonetheless, the narrator is not grating and others may still prefer that route.

Thank you to Macmillan audio and Net Galley for this excerpt!

A magical house. A secret past. A summons that could change everything.

Another sneak peek that has me now doubly excited to be back in this world with Arthur, Linus, and the children! Daniel Henning's narration is so animated and fun. I cannot wait for the full length audio of Somewhere Beyond the Sea.
