This is the second book in the Cerulean Chronicles. It begins in the past and gives a quick look into how the orphanage came into being what it is today. The story then jumps to the present time with all the characters from the previous book. This was just a sneak peek and now I cannot wait to read (but especially listen) to the rest of the book. The narrator does an amazing job bring personality to all the different characters.

I love the writing style of this author. It is light and funny at times but also shows the darkness that lies within some people. The characters are well developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. If you like Miss Peregrine’s House of Peculiar Children, you will enjoy reading this.

This is sooo good so far! I cannot wait to listen to the whole book and give a full review! I love that this is a sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea! I loved the first one and am sure I will love the rest of this one! Obviously this is only the first 4 chapters and there is a lot more to go. The first book was a bit of a slow burn at the beginning, the same seems to be happening with this one. I expect the book to pick up shortly. I love the diverse set of characters!

All my favorite characters are back together!! As someone who recommends The House on the Cerulean Sea OFTEN I was so excited to be able to get a sneak peek at Somewhere Beyond the Sea. The preview seems to continue the same heartfelt yet silly energy that I fell in love with! Can’t wait to read the rest!

This was a fantastic start! I am so excited for the rest of the book, I believe this was the same narrator as the first book. This sneak peek had me hooked. I cannot wait for the book two and to be back in this world.

Can’t wait for this one to publish! The narrator is perfect. The first book is one of my absolute favorites with endearing and unique characters. I’m excited for Arthur’s story and the next part of the saga!

I should never have requested this excerpt. I fell head over heels in love with the setting - again. Klune is a master of fantastical worlds, and I can't wait to dive into the full version, but sadly, I have no choice.

Daniel Henning's narration is perfect.

It’s a bit challenging to provide a written review for a sample. Daniel Henning does a wonderful job with the narration here and I’m interested to see where this story goes!

The narrator, Daniel Henning, is perfect for this book. He does every voice of the characters so uniquely. I know exactly what character is speaking without needing to hear the name. He really brings them to life in a fun way.

The first book was so enjoyable and such a cozy escape. It was my first cozy fantasy read. The sneak peak I was able to listen to brought back the same feel and I can't wait to dive more into the children's lives living as magical youth on the island that only recently started to accept them a little more. I am also excited to learn more of Arthur's past and his relationship with Linus. I enjoy this world that TJ Kline has created for us. I am excited to read the rest of the story!

This book is adorable and campy. I'll admit, some of it is going over my head but it's a delight to listen to. Daniel Henning is the best narrator possible for this book. You can tell he's having fun preforming it. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC.

The way that this sneak peek made me so excited to revisit the island and the cast of characters that comes with it is not able to be put into words!! This sneak peek did exactly what it was supposed to do which was get me SO EXCITED for the upcoming sequel and fall even more in love with the rambunctious children than I even thought possible. In just 30 minutes, I was smiling from ear to ear listening to Chauncey get so excited about their antics and loving hearing Lucy back at it with his "evil" tricks. I CANT WAIT

Well its just a snippet but I loved it and I will definitely be continuing this one when I have the opportunity!😍

It's hard to review a snippet, but I can easily say it is a delight to be back in this world with these characters and I can't wait to hear more! I'm only giving 3 stars because it feels so unfair to give it more with so little to go on, but I bet it's much higher than that!

I am beyond excited for the release of this book. This preview is NOT ENOUGH! I need more!
Based on this short snippet, I believe this book will be an excellent sequel to "The House in the Cerulean Sea".

This is only a preview of "Somewhere Beyond the Sea", the sequel to blockbuster hit "House in the Cerulean Sea", but I'm already so excited to be back with Linus, Arthur, and the kids! Klune's writing and Daniel Henning's magical narration (I cannot get enough of Chauncey's voice!) make me relive my days as an avid Lemony Snicket reader. I cannot wait for the release!
