This excerpt was so bittersweet because on the one hand it was absolutely incredible and has me even more excited for the release date. But on the other hand it made waiting so much more painful!!

I loved the narrator though I will say the voices seem very similar to "In the Lives of Puppets" so it took a minute for me to reorient to the characters of this story instead of thinking about those characters. The beginning seemed to be kind of slow and confusing but about halfway through this sneak peek I got so excited listening to all the kids scheme and play off each other to keep the couple out of the kitchen. I am definitely going to read this and I think I will love it! I think the only reason this didn't hit as well for me is because it was such a small amount of time and the story didn't really get a chance to start going before it was over!

I always enjoy TJ Klune’s work on audio and this is no different. His characters are meant to be read aloud.

I love this narration - I wanted to read the book but now I want to listen to the audiobook instead. The children's voices are spot on and lend so much to the story.

I am intrigued by the story too so I can't want to listen to the entire thing.

I was given this from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own

OF COURSE, THIS IS TOP-NOTCH!

Continuing to follow the stories of the original characters from Under the Cerulean Sea, this series can do no wrong. Arthur and Linus are settled in their relationship and the children continue to grow in their individuality, doing what children do and getting into mischief!

I love everything about this!

This is such a wholesome and cozy read/series...

I hope that we get more books following these characters, it can go far, especially with the writing being so good!

Thank you Netgalley, T.J. Klune, and Macmillian Audio for this wonderful sneak peek.

The opinions posted are completely uncoerced and all my own.

I loved this sneak peek at TJ Klune’s highly anticipated follow up to The House in the Cerulean Sea! In this excerpt, we revisit all the beloved characters from the first book- immediately bringing a smile to my face. The audiobook narration by Daniel Henning is delightful. This is guaranteed to whet your appetite for the full-length release of Somewhere Beyond the Sea on September 10!

As someone who fell in love with *The House in the Cerulean Sea*, I was thrilled to get a sneak peek of the audiobook for T.J. Klune's upcoming sequel, *Somewhere Beyond the Sea*. Klune has quickly become a favorite author of mine, and I eagerly anticipate each new release, knowing I'll be met with a perfect blend of wit, snark, fantasy, and creativity.

This sequel did not disappoint—it carried the same warmth and charm as the first book, making me eager to continue the story. The narrative has the same flavor that made *The House in the Cerulean Sea* so special, and I'm incredibly excited to devour the full book when it's released.

The narrator was phenomenal, bringing each character to life with distinct and engaging voices. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already delightful story. If the rest of the book is anything like this sneak peek, it’s sure to be another hit from Klune.

Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillian Audio for this sneak peak so that I may give my honest feedback and review.

I’m looking forward to reading this book in its entirety! The narrator was-once again-fantastic and the small portion available provided a good hook. Can’t wait for the rest!

I was glad to get a taste of this book from this audio excerpt. It piqued my interest for reading the book, but I did not like the narrator of the audio version. I thought some of his character voices were a bit absurd.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for a sneak peek of this highly anticipated audiobook!

I was already REALLY excited about the sequel to "The House in the Cerulean Sea." But after listening to this excellent 1-hour snippet, I've leveled up to being EXTREMELY excited!

Daniel Henning, the voice actor, also narrated TJ Klune's previous books "The House in the Cerulean Sea" and "In the Lives of Puppets." So, if you enjoyed those audiobooks, you'll most likely love this one. I found myself chuckling as I listened, already enchanted by the return of Arthur, Linus, and our favorite magical children.

I can't wait to experience the full audiobook on September 10!

Daniel Henning is a great narrator for Klune's characters with his vivacious voice talent and careful curation to give each character their own distinct personality.

This sneak peak for Somewhere Beyond the Sea was a fabulous and enticing morsel of the sequel to TJ Klune's The House in the Cerulean Sea.

Readers will be overjoyed to see Arthur, Linus, and their magical kid again. My understanding is this sequel will be from Arthur's perspective-- and I for one, cannot wait to uncover what happens next!

This book is for all those who have felt like an oddball. Queer friendly, fat positive, pro-equity. It is a hug in a book and not in a cheesy way. It's a funny, sweet, and heartfelt tale about chosen family and acceptance.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the sneak peek!

This was such a charming sneak peek into the sequel to the beloved The House in the Cerulean Sea!
I was so curious about Arthur's past while reading the first book, and this gave us a hint about his history of abuse and mistreatment as a child, and also his incredible power.
He was already such an admirable, warm character to begin with, and you immediately come to love him more when we learn that coming back to the island and orphanage, despite his dark history there, was such a brave and selfless act for him.
I was also so glad that this excerpt gave us a peek at the children we know and love from the first book. Chauncey is pursuing his bellhop dreams and Lucy is causing his own brand of devilish mayhem! And of course, Linus is there to worry and fret and help protect them all.

I cannot wait to read this story in full!

Now I am impatiently waiting for the release on Sept 10.
I do not like the torture of sneak peeks.

This narrator is absolutely wonderful! Despite only listening to the first two chapters, I can already tell you that I'm hooked and in love with this cast of characters. I'm always such a fan of TJ Klune's writing, the way it's so lyrical and descriptive. I can't wait until this book is finally out in the world! So sad that I can't read on, but excited for release day.

I’m eager to get my hands on the full book! The first one was an absolutely delightful, heartwarming, and comforting read that left me craving more. This preview, though brief, was fantastic! I can’t wait to immerse myself once again in the world and reconnect with some of my all-time favorite characters.

I highly awai Klune's next novel--there is something so comforting about his work! His latest. "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" teases the reader with a trip back to Arthur Parnnasus and his magical home. All the feelings that I anticipated to feel came rushing back. I cannot wait to read the rest of this book. Also, the narrator is a spot-on choice!
