My second novel by this author, I am hooked. I’ll be adding all her others to my To Be Read like. I devoted this book as quickly as I could. So good!

This had me hooked from the start.
I really enjoyed the alternating timelines between Hannah and her past self, Laurel, and the writing was so good that I felt for her with everything she was going through, even getting quite emotional for her at points!
Great twists and I really was kept guessing.
I’ll be looking out for more from this author.

Hannah, her husband Jasper and there daughter Pia are excited to move into their new home in a beautiful gated community but it's not long before things start to happen. Is someone from Hannah's past come back to ruin her life. She recognizes one of her neighbors and wonders if he remembers her. Hannah meets some people from the community and has even discovered a new friend but she feels like she is hiding secrets too, then late one night on the beach she finds a body and everything changes.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. The synopsis is very brief but the story is so much more . I couldn't read fast enough but I also didn't want it to end. It was great and the characters seemed like they could be anyone's neighbors.

Review:
Sue Fortin writes the most intriguing unputdownable domestic thrillers. I felt so many emotions while reading this. That's one of the main reasons I enjoy her books, you always feel something while reading it. However, it was predictable at times. Which wasn't a bad thing for this story. I was interested in seeing how it all played out in the end.
Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing, & Author Sue Fortin for this ARC.

Hannah and Jaspers new house should be the place of their dreams. However when Hannah starts receiving messages and things start happening she wonders if her secret is about to be revealed.
A fast paced thriller which i raced through desperate to find out who knew about Hannah's past.

4 stars

What a fantastic book; an absolute page turner. This was so good that I couldn’t put it down. I did end up guessing the ending but this did not detract from my enjoyment of the book. I highly recommend reading this book.

This book had a good pace to it, and I was entertained throughout the whole story (minus that it dragged on a bit towards the end). I also very much enjoyed Hannah/Laurel..

Thank you NetGalley for my ARC copy.
I loved this book. An easy read with lots of twists.
The main character Hannah/Laurel was very easy to connect to. I felt deep empathy for her story and was right there with her when things started to unhinge. Her husband was so relatable.
I won’t spoil the story or ending, but just that the last twist got me. That was one I didn’t see coming.
Well done Sue for writing a brilliant book

This is probably the best book I’ve read all year. I couldn’t put it down. I actually walked into a corner wall because I was so engrossed in this book and literally did not put it down until I was finished. It’s well written, attention grabbing, and full of suspense.

When Hannah, Jasper, and their daughter Pia move into an exclusive neighborhood they’re looking forward to their new life. She quickly becomes friends with a new neighbor, Annabelle. Another neighbor is from her past, a past she has kept hidden from Jasper. She plans on keeping it that way too until things slowly start to unravel around her.

Wow! I couldn't put this one down. This was a fast paced thriller with twists that kept me up reading late into the night! The author did a fantastic job of shifting between timelines laying the groundwork of the past and expertly weaving it into the present. This was my first book from this author but I'll be on the lookout for more! Add this one to your fall reading list for sure!

Thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Your Little Lies was a solid addition to the thriller genre, which I’d classify as a popcorn thriller with some unique elements to keep a reader intrigued. Alternating between Hannah and her past self, Laurel, we learn why Hannah always has a sense of unease and hides away from new people, and what her life as Laurel was like compared to her present. The main mystery is of course the collision of her two selves, and this was well done and suspenseful.

What I didn’t love as much was that we had some twists after what was expected to be the climax which was as fully explored as it deserved given the reader is now facing a second climax so soon after the first. I also had a quibble about the events at the very end with the blouse, maybe it’s just me but I didn’t get it given the epilogue. Again, this may just be me, as despite these two things this book was well written and it’s build up and framing were very well done.

Really good suspense. Lauren has to change identity and 11 years later after she’s rebuilt her life, her past is uncovered. Good suspense about how someone found out about her previous life. Has a good ending.

I was unable to get into this book. I understand that there are going to be mistakes, but there were so many in the first ten pages, that I was lost and confused about what I was reading! Sorry could not finish.

These aren't little lies, they are pretty substantial ones!
The question is: when is the right time to come clean about a secret that you might need to keep to protect yourself and your family?
Who is your friend, who is just pretending to be? Is the past catching up with you? Or are you just being paranoid?
I enjoyed it, even if some of the dialogue was a bit stilted (who, other than a policeman or medic, talks about "a substantial headwound"?), and I didn't see the twist at the end coming at all!

I very thoroughly enjoyed this thriller! The book was fast paced and had plenty of tension and surprises. It went back and forth between past and present which I'm a fan of. The need to find out the main characters dirty little secret was strong!

The characters are mostly quite likeable. Sometimes thrillers have a really whiny or dimwitted woman for the main character and Hannah was not. Her husband, Jasper, is the first thriller/mystery husband that I've liked in a LONG while.

The plot ended up being something I haven't encountered in a thriller before. It felt fresh, exciting, and truly suspenseful. The ending tied up nicely. Altogether, Your Little Lies was captivating and really scratched the itch for an entertaining book in this genre.

This book hooked me from the beginning and was such an easy read. I loved the writing, the past and present POV’s and the characters were well developed. There were so many twists and turns that kept me hooked. The only reason it’s not a 5⭐️ for me is because I found some things a bit OTT and the ending felt too rushed!

A fabulous book that I really enjoyed. The beginning was excellent, leaving me thinking ‘What on earth has happened?’. It was a well written, fast paced, page turner and the only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was just one too many unrealistic coincidences for me! A gripping and emotional read with an unexpected twist towards the end and a lovely epilogue. Highly recommended by me, and thanks to Storm and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Your Little Lies was such an incredible read. I initially had picked it up just to read a few chapters to get an idea of the writing style and found myself unable to stop! Jasper's grandmother leaves him an inheritance that allows him and Hannah to buy a beautiful new home in a luxurious gated neighborhood. It's absolutely perfect with its floor-to-ceiling glass doors, direct access to the sandy beach, and close-knit, caring community, which will provide their daughter, Pia, a safe place to grow up and their dog, Luna, with a spacious land to roam. Jasper puts his arm around my shoulder and kisses the top of my head. ‘Happy new home, darling.’ A shiver runs through me. Will I be happy here? Will I finally be safe? But the saying is true, the past always come back to haunt you and this is true for Hannah, who has some past skeletons that not even Jasper knows. After meeting some of the new neighbors, one name in particular is mentioned and then Hannah actually meets her next-door neighbor. The flicker of recognition in his eyes only lasts for a second, but it’s enough. It's the one person she hoped to never see again, from her past secret life. Suddenly, her safe haven has become the most dangerous place she could be. Unless she does something about it…

This story is told from Hannah’s point of view past and present, but also with chapters form Laurel. It takes a while to figure out who Laurel is and her connection to Hannah. Hannah's life begins to completely unravel. Items go missing in her home, her beautiful new home is vandalized, and she always feels like someone is watching her, especially when she's home alone while Jasper is out of town on business. Oh...and now we have a murder on our hands. Who killed Bryan? Hannah gets too comfortable and confides in her friend and neighbor Annabelle, but Hannah is seeing that Annabelle is not who she says she is.

This is a perfectly executed domestic thriller. There were so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming, which constantly left me needing more. It had me guess up until the very end and I was shocked. I absolutely recommend this book which releases September 6, 2024.
